"She's dead. Gone. It's time for me to stop chasing her ghost. You are here, you are alive. I would much rather chase you." He said, licking her cheek gently.

Petal couldn't help but smirk ever so slightly and she let out a deep breath as he licked her cheek; her eyes closing for only a short moment. "You're going to chase me are you?" she questioned him before she drew her glance back onto the brute and settled herself close beside him, leaning into him slightly. "So, I take it you like me then?" her voice a bit playful and teasing, messing with the brute a bit.

Brent grinned. "Damn right I am." He said, a determined expression on his face. "Though, I'd hope I wouldn't have to. I'd much rather have you beside me than way ahead of me."

Petal couldn't help but laugh a bit towards his determined expression and she nipped his shoulder gently, "Is that so?" she questioned him before continuing on. "Well, alright. I promise to stay by your side." she paused for a moment as her sapphire gaze watched the brute carefully. "If, of course, you stay by mine." Her voice was loght, yet, it had a serious undertone to it. The fae was a trusting female wolf, however, she wasn't foolish. She absolutely wouldn't put up with actions from her serious other that would cause her serious distress. He would be hers, and she would be his. It was as simple as that. If any part of those two sentences would be broken. She would be sure to see her way out. She was a hardheaded fae, and her pride refused to let her think otherwise. Yet, for now, she was content with how things were going and would enjoy the moment. Hopefully, this would last longer then her joyous times in her old pack life.

Brent smiled. "I would only leave your side should you will it, Petal." He said, getting into the dreamy archaic mode he got in when he was completely content. A flash back to his roots, you could say, since most of the wolves from his birth pack spoke like that. He looked up at the stars, for once completely happy.
