━━━━━━━━━━

The sun begun to rise, lighting up the cloudy grey sky and the tunnels of the packs cave. Outside it was gently snowing, piling up on the ground below. Morning Rain slowly cracked her emerald green eyes open, blinking away the sleepy haze. Slowly sitting up she began to lightly groom her long cream colored fur, making herself presentable for the pack to see. What pack would want an alpha that couldn't even take care of herself? Yawning and flashing her sharp white teeth, The alpha made her way out of the alphas tunnel. Her paw steps were making a quiet echo throughout the tunnels as Morning Rain made it to the center of the cave. The fae went outside, checking the surrounding areas of any trouble or problems they might have to face. The snow was fresh and did not look like it was ready to melt anytime soon. Good... I dont have to worry about any floods in the tunnels yet. We'll probably have to move when it gets close to spring, but for now this is the best place for my pack. The tunnels are heated, keeping the cold chill out. I am thankful for our ancestors to create such a wonderful gift. I just wish I know how they are doing it. I will know when my time comes, I guess. Turning away, Morning Rain padded back into the cave and jumped up on the Alphas plat stone, looking down upon her waking pack. Lifting her head, she let out a Long normal howl. "The sun is rising my pack, It is time to awake for the days routines. We must be quick before the brewing storm is upon us tonight!" As her words echo throughout the caves, the earth started to shake violently and soon died down as quick as it came. It was quite common lately, so Morning Rain did not panic. Glancing at the entrance toward the distant sky, the storm was forming. It promised to leave a damaging mark on the surrounding area at dusk before it retreats in the early morning.

{{Does anybody have a female for illusion?}}

Illusion.

Illusion woke up hearing his alpha and flicked his ears and yawned. He stretched out his long, built body and curled into a ball closing his eyes with a sigh, wanting to sleep longer. He eventually got up and he trotted from his den.He sniffed the air and looked around. He tilted his head and he eyed the camp and the wolves that had woke up,he seemed to be the lost.Whoops.He sat down in front of his den, yawning with a small whine and shook his head and stretched his front leggs out,the morning sun on his black fur warmed him up and he smirked just a little. The tip of his tail wagged.

lead hunter brute] waiting for the hunters
the large black brute's ears perked as he heard the ever so familiar sound of the alpha's voice. he parted his jaw to release a low, tired moan, he did not want to wake yet. his ember eyes slowly lifted, his vision a bit blurry as he saw the small specks of white snow on his muzzle. he hated when snow got on his black pelt. he lifted himself off the ground, shaking the powered snow from his silky pelt. his eyes trailing up to the alpha. he understood, she always had a way of knowing when the storms would approach. as the lead hunter, he was the one to begin hunting parties, so he waited a few minutes to the hunters to rise,
"hunters, gather, let's get moving so we can eat before the storm," his voice bellowed, echoing from the alphas rock to the trees. he waked away from the sleeping wolves, standing near the edge of the forest for his hunters to come and follow him out. there was no time to waste, they needed to catch as much prey to give them strength for the night. he sat himself down, looking out amongst the others, slowly awaking from slumber, what he wished he could have stayed in. his claws were racking into the cold soil as a small pool of rage emerged in his eyes, and he clenched his jaw. he had barely gotten sleep last night, the hunt took way longer than usual, the animals were disappearing by the hour it seemed, and it was always his fault if they came back with less than usual. he couldn't stand that.
the anger dulled after a moment, but his claws were still clutching the ground beneath him.

The morning rays gleamed on the pure white femme, much to her despair. Today, she had hoped to at least sleep in, just a little longer than usual. The grouchy canine rose with a grunt. She slid her front paws out, extending her front legs. She groaned when a chorus of pops and cracks arose from her muscles. Her name was Zephyr; and the morning had begun as usual.

Zephyr finished off her daily routine of stretching each muscle, topping it off with a hearty shake of he head to wake herself up. She parted from her "den," which was more like a low shelf in the wall of the cave, basically a large dent that served as a wide enough place for a wolf to rest. She jumped down, and her paws landed in a puddle of water, the same one that was always under her shelf. The white fae shook her coat and eyed her shelf, making sure she didn't lose any bedding. She would use moss and soft leaves, whatever she could find to make it comfortable. She perked her ears and trotted out of the cave, picking the last notes of her alpha's howl, noting that a storm was to come. Zephyr hopped a little. A storm! She loved storms. Thunder, lightning, wind- it was all beautiful to her. With her spirits lifted, Zep padded around the cave. When she saw Morning Rain, she dipped her head in respect, like any wolf should. She wasn't sure if she had seen the head dip, but that didn't matter. It's the thought that counts. Zephyr saw that the pack was just waking up, and she probably had a few minutes before the fighters teamed up or something. She saw Illusion out of the corner of her eye and nodded, adding a soft smile to her greeting. She didn't have time to talk though; she only had a few minutes to truly wake herself up.

She stretched her legs once again and flicked her ears, narrowing her eyes to scan the area. It was still sluggish. Zephyr suddenly took off, pushing off with her hind legs. She was like a blur, disappearing into the woods. Morning Rain was certainly right; it was going to storm. Zephyr could feel the humidity in the air. She tore through the snow, thank goodness it wasn't too deep. Zep was able to run right through it. When she thought she ran a respectable distance, she slowed to a walk and turned around, now making her way back to camp. She caught her breath while moving along the path that she wore down after using it so many times for her morning runs. A smile formed across the fae's muzzle. She adored the winter. Zephyr looked up, taking in all the details of the world around her. She then quickened her pace to a trot. Soon, she arrived back at camp and found that Crow was assembling the hunters. Perhaps soon the warriors will have to group up. Zephyr patiently strode over to a tree and sat down, taking a moment to close her eyes.

xxxxxxxxxxEllie moved through the trees, her paws heavy after days of travel. Her memory was in and out, making her walk in circles. She forgot where she was going, where she had come, and why she never settled for one place. Remembering only hurt her more.
xxxxxxxxxx She had left everything she had known, and when you do that, you end up losing who you are. Ellie had no idea who she was and why she had to keep going on this endless walk. Yet still, she continued. She continued on her journey until the forest turned from trees to a valley of grass, to rolling hills and back to trees again. This new forest, however, belonged to someone. Ellie hesitated for a moment. To cross, she would have the opportunity to start over with a new pack. Then risk harming them in her bouts of memory loss. Was she really that selfish that she would be so lonely? Ellie teetered over the border, standing on the invisible edge. To go or not to go?

xxxxxxxxxx Char woke up at the base of a wet, mossy boulder. His coal black coat seemed like a shadow below the rock, with only his gleaming amber eyes to distinguish him from the dark. He rose, shaking off the dew and dust that had settled on him during his slumber. Char felt hunger pull him into a hunters crouch, his nose twitching as he scanned for a scent. Luckily for him, this forest wasn't as bare as he had dreaded. He could smell field mice everywhere.
xxxxxxxxxx Now, one field mouse won't do much good as a meal for a wolf. But twenty field mice ought to do it. Char spent a good amount of time rounding up and feasting on as many mice as he could find. Picking out the little bones was the bother with them, but Char would get what he could. Perhaps he would find a more satisfying lunch elsewhere.
xxxxxxxxxx The rouge started towards the forest he had been heading to for three days now. He heard that the last of the herds had been heading there as the last haven for miles. If Char was to find food, it would be there. He stopped at a creek he passed to get some water when he smelt it. This creek was not just a small trickling of water. It was frequently visited by deer, rabbit and wolf. There were wolves in these trees, the last place Char ever wanted to be. He was in a Pack's territory.

kione prided himself on his resilient nature, but all the same, he didn't think he could stand much longer of this existence. Every day, nay, every minute was a struggle for survival as he grappled with the force of Mother Nature, who seemed determined to do him in this winter. The forest was a far cry from what it had been earlier this year. It was to be expected that the animals went into hibernation or migrated south when the snow came, but to Kione it seemed that they had completely abandoned this place — and he was certain it was not simply his imagination.
-----It was more out of annoyance than anything else that he decided to leave the area. Kione had survived plenty of things in his lifetime, and when you knew you had the capability to bring yourself from puphood to adulthood relatively unscathed without a parent figure to guide you along the way, you couldn't help but feel confident that it wouldn't take a little thing like a food shortage to off you. In fact, it never crossed his mind that he might not survive this winter. The only thing Kione was thinking about in the few moments he had to himself was that he was getting tired of going to sleep hungry every night.
-----And so it was with this mindset that he awoke that day. Today, he would leave, he decided. He would go south — he really ought to have done so sooner — and he would not look back on this wretched place. Not once.

xxxxxxxxxxEllie decided to cross into the valley, but remained to the edge. It was then that she crossed over a more foregin, distinct scent. Not of the pack, but a wolf like her. Another Loner? She thought, her brow narrowed in thought. Disregarding the threat of being found, she followed the scent of the lone wolf. The trail looped around and headed back to the southern exit of the valley. She paused in confusion. This loner was leaving this valley? Why?
xxxxxxxxxx She looked around, her eyes peeled for any sense of the loner around her. She was getting close, she could feel it. It was then that she looked up, and there he was. Off in the distant trees, his fur was lightly visible between the tarnished branches. Excited to meet another loner, one of the first in many moons, she started to run towards him. It was only once she was too close hat the idea that he could be hostile caught up with her. She hit her brakes, her claws gripping into the ground and she tried to stop herself. Yet there she was, standing behind the brute who was sure to have noticed her by now.

The pack slowly awoke, getting ready to take advantage of the day before the storm approached. A fae stopped below the Alpha rock and bowed her head, which earned her a blink of approval. Morning Rain jumped off the rock and made her way out of the cave once most of the wolves were awake, her tail high to show her dominance. The cream wolf walked toward the lead hunter at a trot, stopping infront of him. "Crow, Lead brute hunter, I wish to come along for the hunt. I wish to get more then usual, in case we are unable to hunt tomorrow. This storm will be brutal, and we must prepare." The Alpha stated, looking off into the distance. "I hope I will not be a upset to the balance of the hunting group.". Morning Rain settled herself down, watching the rest of the pack stumble out of the den. The pack was skinny from the lack of prey, and being the alpha any death in the pack from starvation is her fault."This winter will not be kind to us, especially that most herds have left the surrounding areas of the valley." Morning rain noted, mostly to herself but also toward Crow.

lead hunter brute] waiting for the hunters, speaking with the alpha
crow had glanced from his black paws to the rock, seeing that the alpha had already gone out, and let his gaze trail back to his paws. his ears perked up, and head jerked up as he heard the sound of one approaching him, to his surprise it was she, the alpha. he at first cocked his head as she stopped before him, and spoke. she wanted to come, well that wasn't a bad idea, then she could see for herself the trouble they were having finding the prey.
he gave the fae a nod, parting his jaw to speak,
"that would be nice, it's always to have more help," he told her, his head low as he spoke, a submissive act especially for him. he did so despise authority, but he wasn't stupid, he knew to respect them. his gaze was still focused on the alpha,
"my hunters shouldn't be effected, i trust they will be work hard in the presents of their alpha." his voice had lowered, but not to a whisper, more of a conversation voice so others wouldn't be so inclined to ease drop or pay attention to his behavior. he felt a small tinge of embarrassment for having to show submission to a fae, but it was needed and must be done to live. besides, he'd work much to hard to become a lead hunter, so why give up a good role. he disliked most in the pack really, he'd honestly more happy as a loner, but he knew that would never work, he'd die with in a few moons. his mind had wondered, but his eyes were still hovering over the alpha.
