ooc: Ooohhh.... I can't decide. I want to join as a rather mean but fiercely loyal female. But I don't know what rank I want her as, or if she should be a loner.

So... What rank is most needed or wanted right now? I was thinking maybe omega, simply because they have no idea if they should trust her at all, because I haven't seen any other omegas next.

Yes, this wolf is named Albatross. Originally her parents named her Fairy, but that was before they abandoned her for fear she was too weak to survive. You see, Albatross was born the runt of her litter, and white while the others were all dark. They thought she seemed like a Fairy spirit of the wood, as she was white as a ghost but had eyes so dark it was like you were looking into the abyss. They thought it was something strange indeed, but kept her for a while anyway; until she grew sickly instead of stronger like her siblings as she aged. So, as often would happen with pups whose parents felt had no chance of survival, she was left behind. It was only because of an elder wolf that came along and found her that she survived at all. He took her in and fed her the best he could in his old age, and watched as what was once a sweet little pup turned into an angry adult. Instead of accepting her weaknesses the albino wolf pup set goals for herself to succeed. She would be the biggest baddest thing around, and not the little Fairy her parents decided was too weak to keep around. And so she picked for herself the name of the greatest creature she could think of, a great white bird that seemed to rule the skies. The Albatross.

And so she grew, quite larger than anyone could have expected for a puppy her size and sickly nature. In fact, she grew quite large for any wolf to be expected. She certainly isn't the biggest thing around, but Albatross is often mistaken for a male. And sometimes even a polar bear, though she could not but hope to be that large. Though she appears rather lean, this is only because of her height, as she is covered in muscle. She isn't exactly what you would call a fast wolf because of this added weight, but she more than makes up for it with brute strength. Her body is covered in shorter than average thick white fur. The fur on her tail is longer, but the rest of her fur makes it hard to stay warm in the colder months. Her nose is a pink color, uncommon for wolves except in albinos like herself. Her eyes, on the other hand, are not at all light. The irises are so dark they are often indiscernible from her pupils, though they are just a very dark brown. So you see, she isn't really like the average female wolf. Maybe the average male, with her sheer size and strength; along with the many scars hidden by her dense fur. Even her voice portrays a more brutish creature, deep and almost always angry sounding. Her growl sounds more like the deep throated roar of a lion then that of any wolf.

It took a while for her to become this way, though the exact time is completely unknown. Albatross knows she is at least over a year old because the old wolf said they had been together for a year a few days before he died. But everything feels like its moving so fast that she could be anywhere between a year and a half to five years. She honestly doesn't know. Her constant traveling has also skewed her perception of time, as she traveled between hot and cold climates often so the seasons were never clear to her. She has in no way started to slow down, nor does she feel like she had reached her optimal strength, so she is probably still on the younger side. Whatever it may be, several months or several years, it seemed to turn her into a rather harsh creature. She speaks her mind, no matter who she is speaking to. It matters not to her who you are or how powerful you have become; she'll tear you down with words. Albatross is not so likely to actually attack another pack, as she is just as loyal as she is mind numbingly mean to them. Those she hates most in her pack hold far more worth to her than a ruler of another group, and she would defend even the lowest of them with her life if necessary. Note all the scars. But that isn't enough to make up for her overly cruel words to those around her. About the only thing that does is that those cruel words can be thrown right back at her. For all of her hard work and dedication to her dream Albatross has still come up short. She is not all that bright. Not at all. Her intelligence lies in the technique of taking down prey and survival alone. Albatross is easily the most gullible creature around. She has not the quick wit or problem solving mind that many have, and in no way has the true ability to lead anything. So her rank, as one of the lead hunters, makes absolutely no sense. Especially to herself, since she believes she is far dumber than she actually is. And hates herself for it. Not only does she have a weakness of mind, but a weakness of the body. Yes, yes she is covered with muscle and has some serious strength, but time has not taken away her sickly nature. She shakes often, gets these strange pains all over her body. Sometimes she just has to sit there, close her eyes tight and wait for the weak feeling to pass. It takes over her whole body, making it hard to walk, to do anything without feeling like she's about to pass out. Some days she may not even move at all, or will move in a silent haze. She doesn't heal all that quickly either, and a small wound could turn into a serious infection quite easily.

But instead of making her slow down or give up, it has only made her work harder. Harder to keep her post, to become stronger, to make up for every weakness she has. To prove that she is worth bringing along, that she is worth more than her parents ever saw her to be. Albatross, above anything else, wants to be wanted. Not by any male, of course, because she is hardly what any male would be after. She is not so foolish to think that the goal of a family is at all within her reach. No, she chose a goal that she may actually be able to reach; to be wanted by the pack as a useful asset despite all of her problems and rude ways.
