Name: Le Cheval, named by the french cowboys that round up her type. Literally means "The Horse" in French.
Nickname: Cheval
Gender: Mare
Age: 9 years
Breed: Camargue, a breed of small, feral, grey horses that live in the wetlands of Camargue in France.
Height: 15hh
Color: Grey
Markings: None
Conformation: Poor
History: Captured when she was 3 years old because of her potential as a children's horse, she quickly and steadily changed hands as families found her practically unrideable. She was sent across the ocean to a world-renowned trainer, who let her free when he realized that she could never serve a purpose besides cheap dog meat. She arrived here by swimming.
Personality: Cheval feels comfortable on the island, since living in saltwater and swimming has always been her strong suit. She doesn't have the best conformation or personality, but these help her survive in the wild.
Name: Seattle Winnings, a two-part name originating from her mother, daughter of Seattle Slew (Seattle's Alexandra), and her father, It's All About Winning.
Nickname: Seattle
Gender: Mare
Age: 5 years
Breed: Thoroughbred
Height: 16.1 hh
Color: Chestnut
Markings: A blaze, socks on her two hind feet, and coronets on her two front feet.
Conformation: Very good
History: Seattle Winnings was destined to be good racer the moment she was born, judging by the bloodlines of Rachel Alexandra on one side and Seattle Slew on the other. Although she never ended up being a Triple Crown Winner, let alone winner of a major race, she still had enough winnings to make her a brood mare. On the way south to be bred to a stallion in Brazil, the boat was shipwrecked and she was cast on to Equus.
Personality: Seattle can barely skate by at the moment on the island- she has never been wild before, let alone turned out to pasture without a fly sheet on. She is obedient, yet high-strung; the only thing that has prevented her from being eaten by predators so far.
