Electra nodded slightly at her statement "And I am Electra it's nice to meet you." she said politely her ears flicked when a fly landed on them.

Soul looked back at Rummy. He listened to the mare and thought about telling her to be careful. But her heat scent was gone, she was his, and he knew very well that she could take care of herself. He snorted in frustration but called after the mare. "Just watch yourself. We'll meet you down there." the lake wasn't far from where they were. He looked back at the two other mares and the foal. "Lets go." he said to them going behind Chevy and Song and noesing the them gently towards the trail that lead down to the lake. He wanted to walk behind his mares so he could keep watch over them and prevent them from being snaked. He kind of doubted any stallion would be interested now that they were covered but Soul wasn't taking any chances.

Bird nodded. "nice to meet you too, Electra." The paint mare glanced around her muscles twitching lightly if a fly landed somewhere where her tail couldn't reach. "So how long have you been with Devil?" the mare had been there when Bird first showed up so she wasn't sure how new the mare was or not.

~Mare ~Buck's Herd ~Expecting (late summer early fall) ~With Buck, Rain & Royal

Serendipity looked back at the rest of her herd. She was pretty far up a head of the others but she it was quiet so she didn't worry to much. The mare looked up and smiled as the Lake came in to view. She figured Buck would be okay with her going a bit a head, it wasn't like she would run away. So the nokota picked up speed, a nice quick trot and headed down to the water. There weren't any other horses yet so she figured it would be okay to take a dip while the lake was clear.

Grooming her small pregnant belly peacefully the mare strayed behind the group, Royal wasn't a very social horse. Independent and shy was her main qualities, it took a lot for her to open up to someone, let alone go up and talk to another whether she knew him or her or not.

Doe:
Without waiting for a reply, Doe walked away, following the scent of water. When she came out of the forest at a lake, she trotted down and drank for a while. She wondered if there were lots of herds here. Then, pushing herds out of her mind, she walked into the lake till it was just under her withers. Then she dipped her head under, enjoying the cool water. Occasionally she glanced around for other horses, but mostly she just enjoyed the lake.

Electra shrugged "not long really, maybe a day or so before you." she said swishing her tail frantically as flies swarmed around her stomach "I wish these pesky flies would beat it!" she said getting rather annoyed and nipping softly at her stomach.

Rummy arrived at the lake alone she enjoyed the peace whilst it lasted if the herd followed the trail she could have a few more minutes alone just one of the reasons she cut through the undergrowth to get here quicker. She stood in the silence for a little while longer before she waded in to about ankle depth and took a long drink it was still cold from the night so she drank plenty before the sun could burst through the trees and warm it up. After her long drink she wadded in a little further splashing the water with her muzzle slightly and generally cooling of from the hot morning air.

Buck watched Royal carefully sometimes he worried about her, she always seemed so distant from the herd almost as if she didn't want to be with them although she let him cover her. He sighed and shook his worries away focusing on the lake. He trotted over energetically and splashed in until the water was almost covering his back he reared a little which splashed some water over his head and onto his back it was nice to have some fun and the water should keep him cool from the hot weather which was soon to come. He shook the water from his eyes and found himself looking at 2 mares one was across the lake and too far to reach but the other was right beside him and she was still in heat which was peculiar for this time of year. He nickered loudly to the chestnut mare (Doe).

Doe turned at the sound of a nicker, spotting another herd. Wow. I wonder how many herds there are? She thought before nickering back. "Hi.." She said shyly, nervous cause she normally doesn't talk to stallions.

Buck smiled a little he didn't want to leave his herd he didn't care if they were covered some desperate stallions would still take them if given half a chance "why don't you come over here and we can talk properly? you can meet my mares too." he suggest since she didn't seem to be aggressive or running away.
