Soul watched Song as the mare cantered a head. In all surprising ways the stallion actually didn't mind when his mare left his side to go run around. As long as there were no other stallions around and he could see them they could run as much as they wanted. He didn't want to feel like he was keeping them on a leash and they could only go so far. Finally the stallion led his small herd to the little river. "You can go pretty much where ever you wish, as long as another stallion isn't around and I can see you at all times." he informed his band. He didn't want to tie them down to much. he looked at Chevy wondering what was going through the mares mind. He could smell her heat sense and he was sure any stallion in the area could as well.

Bird wandered the tropical forest, her tail swishing back and forth. With the end of spring coming her heat sent was almost unbearable. It was almost worth joining a stallion just to get rid of it. Except for the fact that she wanted nothing to do with a herd. Bird decided to just suffer silently. When summer would come all this would be over and she wouldn't have to worry about joining a herd or taking care of a foal.

The tiny Nokota mare grazed quietly in one of the few open fields. Most of her days had been spent trying to doge the stallions as they gathered their herds together to breed. She wasn't interested to say the least. Just a year ago, around this time a stallion had snaked her from the open and covered her. Serendipity honestly wouldn't have minded the foal, but being around so many other horse caused her to break. The foal had been a still born and the stallion had blamed her. She still had the scare to prove it. Serendipity had been on her own since then and she frankly didn't mind. If she didn't have any other horses to deal with she was a happy mare.

Buck's gaze switched to the horizon where he saw a mare grazing not too far away, he didn't want to leave Rain so he nickered to her softly.

Rain lifted her head from the grass as Buck nickered to her. She walked over to him, her head tilted in question. She spotted a mare in the distance and realised that must be why. He must be going to get her, and didn't want to leave Rain here. She walked forward towards the mare a few steps in front of Buck to show she knew where he was going.

The nokota mare smelled them before she saw them. The moment she scented the horses her head shot up. Her dark eyes glanced around wildly and finally saw them in the distance coming towards her. Serendipity saw the mare first and relaxed a bit. Maybe it was just a mare herd? She nickered shyly for the mare to see if the horse really was coming towards her or if they were just walking in that direction. She didn't pay enough attention to notice the stallion not far behind.

Rain walked a little further towards the Nokota mare who was now only several metres away. When Buck reached the mare, she wouldn't be far behind. The gypsy vanner turned her head to look back at Buck and neighed softly before looking back at the mare who now seemed curious but relaxed. Maybe she didn't see Buck?

Devil Fire

As Electra refused, he snorted, but allowed it for now. It was Spring, so he had time. He looked around, boredly, before wondering if he should try again. Not yet, he figured. When a mare was deep in her heat, she would be having a huge yearning to have foals, so he'd wait till then, perhaps. The stallion snorted as he looked around, grazing by Electra quietly as he looked for more mares to add to his herd. After all, two horses could survive the winter, but they'd have a pretty rough time at it.

The pain mare walked around along the edge of the tropical forest. Her tail swung back and forth tapping her legs and sides to scare away the bugs. She was board out of her mind, she really just wanted another horse to talk to, but every horse she had run into had either been a stallion or included a stallion. Finally she mare just stopped and started to graze. There was only so much she could do.

Sweet Serendipity watched as the gypsy vanner made her way closer. Thats when the nokota mare spotted the other horse. Serendipity froze as the stallion came to view. Memories raced through her mind and the mare stayed still. She wasn't about to run and get snaked, she would see what the stallion wanted first. She figured he had seen her and there was no getting away now.

Rain glanced at the mare in slight sympathy, knowing that feeling that you got when there was a stallion nearby and no way to escape being snaked - or so you think. She gave a short whinny and trotted a few steps back towards Buck, standing back by his side. She watched as he approached the other mare.

Devil grazed by Electra quietly, before looking up, the scent of yet another mare in heat reaching his nostrils. He flaredthem for a second, trying to see where she was, before he finally saw her. A well built mare, and pretty, too. Devil was interested.

Nuzzling Electra to tell her he was leaving for a short while to 'investigate', he went to the mare, looking at her, whinnying to catch her attention as he walked up. "Hello." He greeted softly. "My name is Devil Fire, but just call me Devil. Who are you?"

The pain mare should have been paying more attention. If she had been she would have noticed the stallion before he was right next to her. Bird took a deep breath and lifted her head her blind main falling into her face once more. She blinked a few times clearly unimpressed that he was here. She knew that there was no running now, she would just have to face this horse head on. When he asked her name she snorted. "Why should I tell you?" she said slightly bitterly. She wanted him to go away, she was not interested in joining his herd but she figured she'd listen to what he had to say.
