Ash nuzzled her rump again, his tail flicking. The stallion snorted, asking permission, if he covered her, her scent would disappear and it would be easier to protect the grey mare.{fade?}

Blue Sorrows
Blue grimaced slightly, this stallion was nice, that was for sure, yet she wasn't certain. The ebony mare took a step back, her ears flicking nervously.

Thunder snorted gently, waiting for the answer, "I won't hurt you.... You are not a trophy to me and you are free to leave..." He said gently.

Unwillingly she was covered by the stallion. Tensed through the whole process (yeah fade).

Ash nuzzled her, "It wasn't that bad, sweet pea." he said taking a step back, tilting his head a she waited for an answer. The stallion flicked his tail, his ears pricked.

Blue Sorrows
Blue flicked her ears, "I would prefer not to. I've had bad experiences with herds." she snorted, taking another step back. She was slightly scared of the stallion, yet she didn't show it with her calm demeanor.

The stallion paused, "How bad?" He asked curiously, "Only if you want to tell me" He quickly said.

Sunbeam was still tensed and didn't reply, just blew through her quivering nostrils.

Ash huffed through his nose, "Please don't give me the silent treatment. I'm not that bad, am I?" he snorted, looking slightly hurt.

Blue rolled her eyes, "Bad enough." she snorted curtly.

The stallion remained quiet, he lowered his head slightly towards the grass, backing away ever so slowly.

Sunbeam looked up, still tensing though. "Why me?" She asked, "I mean, there are plenty more mares out there just waiting for a stallion like you to round them up..?" She asked curiously.

Ash sighed, "Isn't it obvious? You are one of the most beautiful mares I have ever set my eyes on, what is there not to want?" he asked matter-of-factly. "Yes, there are other mares, but none of them attract me like you do." He snorted truthfully.

Blue tilted her head at the stallion, curious as to why he was backing away.

Sunbeam pricked her ears slightly at his complimentary words. But she had also heard them before. However it would be wiser for her to stay with him under protection because she had been covered and would bear his foal.

Thunder stopped, whipped his head around and curled his nostrils, a dangerous scent of man came to him, then he heard the jangle of a bit and the loud hooves drumming along the ground and the ring of shoes! Snorting he looked to the mare and instantly nosed her to move, "man on horse..." He muttered so she could hear.

Ash tilted his head, watching the mare curiously. His head flew up as he heard the familiar heavy thuds of a captive horse with a two leg on it's back. He nudged Sunbeam, "Come, we don't want to be seen." he snorted softly, pushing the mare away from the sound.

Blue Sorrows
Blue flicked her ears, but complied, gliding over the ground, her unshod hooves barely making a sound. Once Thunder and Blue were safe under the cover of trees she turned to him, her head tilted. "Thank you." she snorted softly, as the echoing jangle of the bit faded in the distance.
