I run to them and nuzzle them all, licking bears forhead. Then my father says: "Do you want to come now, or another time?" I cock my head to one side, not getting what he ment. He smiles and says "I'll choose for you." then simply walks off with my mother and bear. === I wake up. }~

My eyes opened to slits and I saw Savvana. It would be pointless to try to speak to her. I had minutes, if even that, left. I just looked sadly at my love and cried silently just letting tears fall. It was all I had left. Grief filled my body ans the blood escaped. I 'd never have pups or tell Savvana I loved her. My chest felt heavier and heavier. Weakening me. Pushing me towards death. I only had tears left. I looked longingly at the body next to mine.How much more longer would I be tortured? 'Just kill me now.Lupus please.Please.I am suffering here. She must be dead. What is the point of my survival?' My eyes slowly closed and I put all my energy into breathing.Something so simple and I had to force my body to overcome pain and do so.'Death. Welcome me.' I started to cry more and whimpered loudly.

And slowly, more than ever now, my body protested to do anything other than the vital functions. Tears fell down my face and I swallowed down watery blood in my throat. I was going to die unless some miracle happened. My Savvana. Would I be with her? What if she was alive?I could not leave her.I would not allow that. I could not. I promised I would NEVER leave her and I meant to keep that.
I would have to hold on.
Soft breezes floated over the seemingly dead body of a tawny colored wolf. Glistening tears sat on his muzzle and blood dripped slowly from many places on his body. Not from healing wounds but from the fact he was low on blood. The full moon was reflected onto the dark lake and occasionally a fish jumped out of the center of the lake into the air. The trees whispered their chants to this pair of wolves dying on the edge of the lake. A hoot of an owl was heard through the forest bidding it own farewell. Bats flittered eating some pesky bugs. The sound of hundreds of gallons of water plummeting over the cliff, thundered through the air. The last birds flew to their nests.A tortoise clambered into its home in the ground.
It was twilight. The middle place. Not one or the other. Not day or night. Not light or dark.

Not alive or dead.

I saw Eyga and Miku walking down the side of the waterfall and out of curiosity. I followed them, close behind.Miku appeared to be quite afraid and Eyga was all tensed up like he was ready to attack. Me? I was just leaned forward, curious and inquisitive.I scented the air and the harsh scent of blood filled my nostrils.Blood. Watch out.

I followed Miku closely and flexed my muscles. I looked around prepared to attack. It was dark and this was hostile loner land. If we were going to be attacked it was now. I scented something just as the healer behind be brought it up. Blood. Lots of it. Enough to empty a fawn and a hare.

Miku listened hearing Newadi behind them listening to the words,Blood? what was she talking about i don't smell anything,a sudden thought hit her like a meteor.'i can't smell.' she stopped in her tracks and turned around trying to sniff Eyga.'nothing' not even a trace of dirt.'i-i can't smell.....' she thought shaking her head.she lay her ears back and whined a bit turning back to the river.'i can't smell......no wonder no one likes me....' the single thought rang in her head.she came down to the edge of the river bank seeing the shadows move their location.she followed.nothing would stop her from finding out what they are.

I reached the bottom of the winding cliff and sniffed the air. I dashed forward scenting my dearest friend.LUCAS!!! NO! No! No! No! No! No! NOOO! I slid down in the icy mud next to him and started to lick his mangled body. Why? I almost vomited at the the taste of blood on my tongue and gagged.I glanced over at the healer who came dashing after me and snapped at her as she started to lick the alpha.Save this one! He is barely alive!She is breathing and coughing. My brother is not! He barely has a pulse!Save him!When she looked back and forth between Lucas, the alpha, and I, I started to growl. Then all of a sudden she broke out into a yelling rage at Miku, I was taken back a bit. Okay then...I looked at Miku when Newadi was finished and nodded.Please.Once I saw that the healer was walking over to Lucas I walked over to Miku.I will help.

I watched Eyga dash off and place his paws next to one of the lumps. then I realized the blood was coming from it. And it was not prey blood but...wolf blood. Blood of wolves I knew. Blood of a wolf I cared for. Blood of a wolf that I ate the catch of. The life sustaining blood of my leader. The blood of the one who had welcomed me into the pack. I dashed forward to the white wolf and licked her wounds. I heard Eyga growling next to me through tears. I looked at him as he pleaded me to save his near brother. But which could I save? I looked at the wolf that was barely alive and the one in front of me. MIKU!Howl to your sister and tell her to bring cobwebs! Then howl for any near loners! Tell them we need to all unite and save two pack members that were once loners! We all were!We need all the help to bring these wolves back to camp when we can do it. Once you are done of howling for help run into the forest and search for moss, and lots of it! If you see cobwebs grab them!Now!No protestation!The Beta is inconsolable right now! Just hear me out. I stared at the female and deep into her eyes.The only words I had spoken with out a harsh tone were my last four. I looked back to down to the alpha and whispered int her ear, Sorry.Just a moment.Stay with us.It will be quick.I forced my self with heavy paws over to Lucas and looked him over. What had happened? I looked at him wondering what could I do.I picked up some of the mud in my teeth and placed it on his wounds. When I came to his broken leg I winced and nudged his leg into a position that had the bones in a semi correct position.I licked the mud onto the wound and looked at Eyga. That was all I could do for Lucas as of now.That is all I can do for him. I am going to work on the alpha now.Sorry.I nodded to Eyga and started to work of putting mud on the alpha female. I spoke to her softly about anything.So I guess you fell in the river. I guess you fell in getting the moss wet. I should have not asked you that. it is a pretty night. Lots of activity. ,Maybe some loners will be out. The sound of the waterfall is pretty.I used to live near a waterfall with my old mate.I wonder if you will ever meet your alpha male.
