She felt her heart start to beat rapidly in her chest as she climbed down the rock and cautiously looked under it.She couldn't understand why anything wanted to go under there as it was usually cold and damp.She went a tiny bit deeper and let her eyes adjust to the major light change.

A little kit was bundled in some moss, crying. It was too young to be left out in the cold.

A soft gasp left her as she walked closer to it,meowing softly as she picked it up.She walked to a small den she had found in the territory when she claimed it.She shuffled the leaves inside around before laying down,placing the kit beside her belly,using her tail to cover it up.

The kit pressed close against her. the kit was extremely cold. It coughed rapidly.

She let her body curl up around it"You poor thing..."she mumbled,reciting the many herbs that one of her old yet dear friends,who was a medicine cat,had told her about.Remembering something about 'chills' she did as she remembered,licked the kit's fur the wrong way.

The kit yawned, letting out another bought of coughting. the kit had greencough!

She stopped and muttered a curse to herself before standing up and running out.She was sure she had some cat-mint stored somewhere.Just her luck she had found some leaves,a quiet memory drifting through her mind of what she had to do to get them.Quickly snapping back into focus she ran back to the kit.She lay down in her original position and lay the leaves in front of the kit's mouth.

The kit coughed again and tried to eat a leaf. but with it's eyes still closed she almost bit Raggedpelt.
