.:Jäger | Male | Four | Midnight Darkness:.
Adrenaline pumped hard and fast through his veins as he flew to the far east border of the territory, which was marked by a wide, fast-flowing river. It was salmon spawning season, so he knew at least one bear would be out looking for food. With a triumphant grin, the catlike wolf spotted a young female brown bear, fishing alone in the river. Delighted about the challenge, Jäger circled above for for a minute before folding his wings and going into a steep dive. Fanning his wings to lighten up his impact just before he hit the bear, he latched onto her back and clamped his jaws around her neck, his elongated canines scraping against the vertebrae in her neck.
His new prey roared angrily, rearing up onto her hind legs and reaching back to try and throw her assailant off. Even though she was young, she was still bigger than Jäger and the wolf was soon thrown off. Lashing his tail back and forth, his lips curled back into a snarl as he launched himself at her belly, using his sharp claws to tear the skin. With a roar of agony, the bear swiped at him, her right claws scratching across his ribs. Jäger yelped as his blood splattered into the river, the water soon washing it away. Bleeding heavily and burning pain stinging up and down the left side of his body, he flapped his wings to latch onto he throat, and with a twist and wrench of his jaws he tore a good sized portion of her throat out. Collapsing into the river, the bear soon died.
Jäger, panting and bleeding heavily from his side, he waded to shore and twisted around to check the damage to his body. Four slightly diagonal lines spanning across his ribs, so deep he could see his bones. His black fur was soon soaked and dripping with blood. Okay, not good. Liable to get infected. Losing blood fast. Too far to camp to get there without fainting and or dying. Should probably ca— His thoughts were cut short as he fainted from blood loss, falling limp to the ground.
