As her haunches moves, the water on her back and head dried, and her fur began to look like a musky dark color. ((WB))

Forrest sighed, as it was nearing the end of spring, and she would be in heat in the summer. She knew she would probably leave, and be a lone mare once again, it was fun to be in a herd, but she wasn't sure if she really wanted to be a mother.

Storm(was that his name?)
I walked out of the water and saw my mother run up to me. She said dad was passing away from being hurt by a mountain lion. I stood in shock. I looked back at Forrest and sighed. It was almost time for her to be in heat and she'd probably leave.

(sorry went ice skating)

Forrest shook her head, "go." She said and nudged his flank with her head.

Rogue of the Night

As Blue nudged him, Rogue smiled quietly, nosing her gently. Seeing her trying hard to be on alert, Rogue chuckled. He was sure she would be great already, but nosed her, telling her she could relax, he wanted her as lead but he didn't want her to stress herself out, either.

Trotting out the water, Rogue rolled in the mud quietly, knowing the heat of summer was returning. And what else did summer mean than more flies. He snorted at the thought, but did a few quick rolls before getting up and going to Natasha. The mare was a little foreign to him, and he wanted to know her better. Nickering to her gently, he nuzzled her, starting to help her groom her mane.

Natasha lightly pinned her ears. Staring slightly at him before shrugging slightly she groomed back, she flicked her tail slightly and flicked her ears a bit listening before returning to grroming his dirty mane

Blue Sorrows
Blue nodded, yet kept her ears pricked, proving her stubbornness as she trotted out of the water and shook herself off like a dog. The ebony mare then continued on to start grazing, her wet tail flicking at flies.

Rogue of the Night

Rogue groomed Natasha quietly, whilst looking out for the herd. Now that Blue was lead, she would decide where to go, so Rogue would be able to focus on just protecting their herd. The route was simple, one just had to follow the river. The river herd saw the river as the giver of life, so they always stayed by it.

Blue Sorrows
Blue lifted her head, looking around. The fact that she was lead mare now, made her think back. There had been a mountain lion earlier, and although Rogue had chased it off, it was possible the lion had hung around. The thought of the lion coming back made her feel rather uneasy, so she let out a wary nicker, warning the herd that she was leaving, and they should follow her if they wanted to be safe. With a curious glance in Rogue's direction, she set off at a brisk trot, following the line of the river. To be honest, she wanted to go to the other side, but the lack of the herd's enthusiasm to swim earlier made her think twice.

Rogue looked up, hearing a nicker. Seeing Blue move off, he nudged Natasha and Naomi, pushing them after Blue gently. He stayed at the back, guarding the herd from attacks from behind.

Natasha zoomed farwards scootting away from rogues body pressure. ears pinned however she continued at a trot a few meters behind blue not wanting to be kicked. she flicked her ears and pinned her ears slightly and continued on her way.

Natasha snorted and swished her tail, she broke into a canter but because of her small stride she didn't move ahead of them, infact she was cantering beside blue now. Ears lightly pinned
