Chien growled, glaring right at Magi. "I lost my sister to a hyena, and a brother to a stupid dare. I think I know what loss feels like. And I got over it. There's no use crying, crying will just aggravate the situation. You have no idea what I went through, literally seeing my sister being torn apart and eaten whilst alive! The next moment, I was getting on with life. Cruel maybe, but it's the only way to live. My brother, the same age I was, died the night before I met Silver. I got over it just fine. If we keep focusing on the things that are dead and don't adapt quickly, the wild is no place for us. Im trying to keep us alive, and it really doesn't help if you are trying to encourage this whimpering." He said, greatly enraged.

"If you want to leave, go. But leave the cubs behind. I know they have no future outside a pride, so I'd keep them alive. Harden up if you want to stay in the pride, and survive. " he snarled back, leaving to go in the center of the pride to lie down, nuzzling Marrana as he went past, trying desperately to cool down and not claw at Magi. He felt a deep hatred for her attitude towards prides. Twice she had joined now, once she had left, and now she was starting to decide to leave again. A pride was something you never left, something you stayed by, no matter what. And here she was, belittling it like it was something she could simply use to threaten. He slammed his paw on the ground. Anger boiled in the lion, but he kept it down. How could he protect her with all his life when he wasn't sure if he would do the same? How could he even do anything if all she did was question and doubt what he did? Each was done for a reason, and he did it because he knew the reasons. The cubs had to toughen up if they were to survive in the wild, especially the lions, as they wouldn't have the pride to support them for a while.

Natala looks at Chien and leaves the Wildebeest, "You ok?" Then looked to the beest she was strong enough to hunt now, so she decided to ask, "Are you hungry?"

Magi considered what Chien said, she knew he was right but she just couldn't help but feel bad for the cubs. Magi's heart just worked different than Chien's, she was more about care and love, he only cared about survival of the fittest.
Kimba wiped his tears onto his front leg and he crawled over to her some milk.
Hatchi still couldn't stop coughing from the dust, which made Magi worry.

Chien looked up as Natala addressed him, before he chuckled blandly. "Yes, I am. In fact, it should be me who is asking you that question." He said bemusedly, before shrugging quietly. "I guess I am..." He muttered softly, nuzzling Natala. Seeing Magi and her cubs though, he was happy that his scolding had at least gotten through to one of the cubs, which was now suckling. The other cub was still coughing though, which made Chien a little worried. Padding over to Hatchi, he picked the cub up in his jaws, before depositing it at the river. "Drink." He commanded softly. Water would help soothe her throat, and get whatever was stuck there down.

Marrana nuzzled Chien back, appreciating the gesture. She stood and looked at Magi for a few seconds, then trotted after Chien, greeting Natala as she came up also. She turned to Chien and smiled minimally at him, trying to cheer him up. "Do you want to be left alone, or would you like some company?" She took a few steps back so he wouldn't feel as if he was being crowded by the two lionesses. Chien needed to know that even though Magi could sometimes be frustrating, his other lionesses were there for him and loyal to him.

She sighed softly as he padded away with the cub, but she guessed that she understood his worry. She laid down where he had been moments ago and watched him carry the cub to the river.

Natala bounded off slinking down so the wildebeest wouldn't spot her, she tenses up, and looks around targeting the prey, it was small but enough for the lionesses and Chien. She bounds forward, chasing after the calf she pin pointed from the herd. Natala nips at it's hooves, constantly, until it eventually trips over, she slides to a stop and turns to it, and leaped at it, biting down onto it's neck, waiting until it fell limp. She grabbed onto it's neck, with a tighter grip and dragged it off to the middle, chuffing out.

"Mik," Hatchi coughed, refusing to drink the water.
Kimba happily suckled.
Magi watched Chien pad away. 'I am such a bad pride member, I always do the wrong thing and I'm never loyal enough,' Magi thought.
