There was the scent of border. Not her problem. Small paws moving swiftly, she cringed at the scent of a familiar body. No. No it wasn't. Pushing the thought away she placed her little smirk back on and moved with smooth confidence. Now Calli was not similar to the wolves around here. The way to tell her from any other besides her grey dusted fur and red tipped ears was her shape. Calli was more shortly built. Legs were well muscled, paws full of fur for snowshoes. Compact, as she would say. But these furry paws made for quiet steps.

Dark amber eyes rose up and closed as a long, light howl rang out from her lips. It was one she had sang when with an old companion of hers. Before he left that is. Drifting deeper into this pack land, Calli grinned into the dappled dull light that refleced off her thick coat. Never did she consider herself as pretty. Although her old partner told her she was. Once again, before he left. She had a puppy love crush on him. Loved flirting with him and he would play along. The femme laughed lightly, the sound echoing off the trees. The cold made her deel at home and alive. Energized. A delighted howl was released, lauging once again as she flew through the land.

Whoever smelled just like her old companion was getting on her nerves. But she just sucked in a stingingly cold breath and proceeded, faster. This place was alright. Winters would be delightful! Summers...summers she would make it. Loads of shedding. Mm. slowing her gleeful run, she poked around the camp. The scent of blood was somewhere. Following it, she peered in. A pathetic white female was looking dull. Snorting, a darkk figure blocked her view. That scent hit her again. Then she saw his face. Gasping, the air left her chest and she backed up, head shaking. N-No. Turning, she attempted to remain quiet. She had been the noisest loner ever though! Howls and laughs. Calli panicked and started away.

Illusion

The brute nodded."Maybe one day,she was my everything.."when he drifted off talking he flicked his ears and turned to see a white loner.The scent of his ex lover,his best friend,his crush..He twitched his muzzle.She had left him,when he told her to stay put,no matter what.The brute shook his head.Cali...it was her.The brute was in shock,he felt his heart drop and he looked at Leddy."Come with me if you'd like."he said in a soft tone.The brute followed after Cali.

When he started running and pounced in front of her and stared into her deep amber eyes he breathed heavily and stared into her eyes."Cali.."he said in a soft,sad tone.He thought she had perished.It was hard for him to look at the fae. He looked down for a moment then looked at her,standing taller then her he lashed his tail around and he stared into her eyes."I-I tho-thought you were dead."the brute said staring at her in shock.All this time,she had been right under his nose this whole time..

Just when she thought she had escaped, he appeared. Closer. A flash of anger shot across her eyes. "Good to kbow that stopped you from neglecting looking for me and going off to lead your own gang of mutts!" Her voice was hard, eyes narrowed with her sudden outburst of pent up fear and anger. Alas she had grown since then, her body lean and features refined. Calli had also grown with anger in her dark amber gaze.

The femme stepped backwards, pelt bristled and head lowered. Calli felt horribly vengeful and spiteful. Not the reunion he seemed to be hoping for. Ears pinned and body tense, she clearly was not a fan. "Listen. Just let me go along, and we can both go back to our lives. If killing me is the only way to make you think I was dead again, sick you ragtag clan of mutts on me." She was most likely speaking a bit more coldly than she would if she would think before speaking.

Ilusion

He frowned and he backed away."Cali,why are you acting like this?!"he said in a soft tone."I looked for you for months!"he said staring at her."You have to believe me!"he said in a soft voice.He looked down and growled and stared at his paws then her."You,i thought you died.."he said in a whisper.A few tears formed in his eyes.She was his bestfriend,and his love. Though,she never knew he loved her.He whipped his tail around."I would never kill you Cali.."the brute said in a soft tone."I thought they killed you.."he said looking at the ground."Stay in this pack with me,"he said softly."Please,"the brute said staring into her amber eyes,anger rose up in her and he knew it but he had to try."Please,"he offered and he frowned. He wanted her in his pack.He lashed his tail around wondering what she was thinking about the large brute.

Her mind fought furiously to ensure little to no weakness arrived in her outer shell. "I sat and slept, ate and bled in the exact spot you left from for almost a year! Nothing!" Snapped back the female, unsure of what she was even saying anymore. She felt a strong pang of guilt and desire to comfort the male as he seemed to grow misty. But she was far too conflicted.

"I can't Illusion! There is a reason I am still a loner. Why it is called a loner! Just go sleep in your gratified alpha den and let me pass through. It would be better if I did." She heard her voice waver on the last part, but added a nod and turned away from him to ensure she looked strong and certain.The male would be fine. Surely he must understand her confused striking out. Calli just needed to snap out of it.

Illusion

Illusion looked at her in shock and snarled."I took care of you and searched for you as I promised!I can't believe you would act like this towards me!"the brute said and turned away flicking his tail under her chin he let out a soft sigh and he felt tears well up in his eyes.He held them in.He looked down at the ground and he shook his head."If you ever wish to come back,go for it.But I doubt you will ever listen to the truth I have to say to you,Cali.."He said in a sad tone."You just,won't hear me out..and it hurts."the brute said."Come back to me when you calm down,please.i'll make sure none of these wolves attack you."the brute said and padded off upset.

Leddy sat and watched. Her tail was lifeless and she tried her best to tune out the words they were saying. It hurt part of her watching in, but she didn't look away. Simply the fae watched. Her eyes were emotionless and her face was blank. Her body stood up slowly and she took a step back getting ready to leave if she needed to.

It was a scene straight from her nightmares. The ones that made her wake up yelping, Illusion calming her down and keeping his body against or around hers so she could sleep once again, assured he had not been taken from her. As the male looked at her one last time, he blankly told her to leave the land. As she remained he barked it more assertively. A strange look entered his eyes as he watched her face melt in fear and abandonment.

That look entered his eyes after a sudden snap caused her to recoil and look rather pitiful. A nearby femme got a blank glance, the other watching this. He pelt bristled. As Illusion suddenly turned with a saddened voice, she realized how she had been acting. But it was all she was. A whimper shakily sounded, Calli closing her eyes a moment. Oh how she would regret this.

"Illusion, please just wait!" Yelped the small female, running to stand in front of him once again. "P-please. You must see why I act like this!" He had to! Her eyes gave a hopeful glint, head tilted. She lowered herself shamefully. "And there has to be some way you can see why I cannot stay in your pack." Maybe in the lands. But within a pack? The thought made her pelt crawl with discomfort.
