Aphra got nervous all of a sudden. Most deer, when they find out her blood line was bred in captivity turn her down very quickly. She only lived in captivity for a few months, and she never trusted the humans anyway so she didn't know why it mattered. "Off in the mountains to the horizon, there is, well was, a herd of deer like me," she said. It wasn't a lie, just not to full story.

"A whole herd." He mused for a moment. He could tell that the subject was a touchy one for the hind. He wondered why;but, decided not to press the matter further. " I am a bit of a drifter myself, usually alone, by choice." He chuckled. "Well ok maybe not completely by choice, you can only get beaten up so many times before you realize death is around the corner.. should you continue to be a nuisance! When I got this.." He tilted his had down a bit, so the length of his scar was more visible. "I thought it was best to move on."

(Being someone from Texas, I may talk about the deer as a Texan would talk about them- I mean- Who doesn't like a nice 9 point on their wall? You don't? Okay. But anyways- Dont get me wrong, I do shoot deer and enjoy hunting, but I respect them. I think they are beautiful and their way of life is quite amazing.)

Qwen stepped into the clearing, listening for any noise of bucks fighting. Maybe he could join and score himself a nice doe. He smiled at the thought, but couldn't hear any clicking antlers. "I guess I''ll start one myself. First I gotta find me a nice doe." The cocky buck said, sniffing the air. He heard gentle talking between two deer. Doe. He began to walk in that direction, bleating out a mating call.

Akecheta watched everything from a distance. She was amused by Cowan's antics. But she was also confused. Did hazel, who had just been making fun of Cowen, like him? And why were suddenly so many new deer around? With that thought, she turned around to continue her conversation with Fedora. "It's actually getting interesting now, huh?'

Akecheta watched everything from a distance. She was amused by Cowan's antics. But she was also confused. Did hazel, who had just been making fun of Cowen, like him? Oh..Yes I guess so...It's so....Fun to watch in other words...To watch how the others act...Is what I mean. The little hind said ever so softly, nibbling at the clover in her mouth. Her attention was caught to a long mating call from a stag (Qwen). Fedora's body on instinct jumped, making her dash to the side, before she nervously smiled at Akecheta, perking her ears in the direction of the call. Mustarding up enough courage, the little hind bleated out a reply, sounding more like a kid (A baby goat) than a deer. She stood with her head leveled and her tail flicking nervously as she made the same call quietly over and over again.

Qwen perked his ears at the mating call reply and dashed in that direction. The deer seemed to be a few years younger, but it was okay.
He suddenly caught sight of her and another doe, and his body stiffened when he looked at the smaller one. Sure, she was smaller, but he felt something else for her delicate body. He mostly walked around, wanting to have a fawn with every doe he saw, but this one... His heart raced and a little bleat escaped his mouth. "H-h-i." He stammered.

Ahiga trotted back to Arabelle, and dipped his head in apology. "I'm sorry, after the last scuffle I lost you in the mist of the confusion," he said feeling foolish for loosing her.


Aphra was glad the stag didn't push farther into her history, it was nice to actually talk to a stag instead of being chased away by other deer. "Wow, that looks like it must have been a ruthless battle!" She said. "Do you win lot of fight now?" she questioned the stag. He seemed like he would be a great fighter after he "realized death is around the corner", not to mention the intimidating scar on his brow.

The hind almost melted onto the forest floor as the buck came to view. ...Hello.... Fedora peeped quietly, sticking right next to Aketcheta. Her body trembled a bit as the hind sniffed the air a bit, taking one step forward with her long legs before her other legs followed. Fedora walked up to Qwen with both of her ears swiveled back as she sniffed his nose, her hooves shifting under her as she trembled, ready to bolt at any sudden movement.
