Bree turned her head at Hazel's impatience, and chuckled at the hind's curiosity. "I would tell you, but I honestly don't know." She meant what she said. She simply didn't know. She knew Ahiga was in her list, but she wanted more options, and to be honest, if he just got her without a fight simply because there were no other stags, she wouldn't want him. Bree wanted a strong stag, and the only way to get that was through watching the rut. Truthfully, if a better stallion came, in character and in physical fitness, she would take the better stag, so Bree wasn't exactly fond of anyone. She looked at Hazel. "Do you have anyone in mind?" Bree herself had exceptionally high standards, given as she was lead hind. If she rejected a stag, most of the herd would too, and the same would happen if she accepted a stag. Most of the hind herd would follow. As such, she was big game, with a big risk of getting no hinds at all, but a tempting reward if she was won.

Because of the risk involved, some stags, like Iso, decided to just woo other females and not her, which made her completely neutral. This way, they had an even chance at getting the hinds in the herd.

Iso saw more eyes on him, and he continued his little performance, doing a tight circle to show off his own physical prowess. Hinds wanted a strong stallion, and he knew, so he tried making a good impression. He wouldn't take any of them before the rut, but a good impression would put him at a better advantage.

Glory blushed slightly as Iso came closer. With quick eyes she noticed him raise his head and display his impressive antlers. She ogled them a bit and then snapped out of it, hearing him speak. "Hey," the female said shyly, pawing at the ground. She couldn't help staring admiringly at his performance.

Iso watched the hind blush, and paw nervously at the ground. He gave her a quiet smile. Seems like he had made a good impression. The stag smiled at Glory. "I'm Iso, what's your name?" He introduced quietly, smiling.

Hazel liked Iso, but she wasn't sure if she was even ready for a fawn. She looked back at Iso, a bit jealous of Glory for getting that much attention from Iso. "I do like Iso," she said, "But I'm not sure if I want fawns yet," she said.

Ahiga smiled, but he was uneasy. He was simply nervous for rut, just like every other young stag.

Bree nodded quietly. "He's a good stag, I suppose. Powerful, trustworthy too." She said quietly, thinking. She just didn't like how loyal he was, and to just about any hind he met. Sure, it was chauvinistic of him, but too much loyalty could get one in trouble. It was funny, how Bree was so critical, so much so that a good thing could be turned into bad. Bree wondered if she was being too critical. Probably, she decided. No matter. She was still young, and could waste time being picky.

"You ok?" Jezzabelle asked, Ahiga looked a little nervous.

The doe smiled at the ground. "Hi," she said shyly, peering up at him from under her lashes. "I'm Glory."

Iso stared at the doe quietly, smiling. She was a pretty colour, reddish brown with black streaks. Glory had a curious, cute expression about her, and Iso let out a soft chuff of amusement at her shyness, though he wasn't mocking her. The stag wagged his tail, interested.

Ahiga nodded, "Yes, I am fine," he said. He took a deep breath and relaxed. He started to walk back toward the hinds, as a fight broke out behind them, between two stags.

Hazel nodded, she liked loyal stags. “Nothing beats a loyal stag,” she said happily.
