Frightful looked at Cyclone for a while, "Yes, I was very happy when I first flew but my sibling were not. I was flying very well by the time they time they could fly from one branch to the other" she churred.

Cyclone smiled with a nod, "That's good, you can't be a good peregrine without knowing how to fly, then you're just a regular bird." He held his head slightly high in triumph, he had always felt peregrines were better because they were the fastest animals on earth.

Frightful actually smiled, " Ain't that the truth!" She chuckled

Jinx looked around and suddenly her eyes became clouded, " Burning feathers and trees alike, all birds you must take flight!!" She screamed. Moments later a bright flickering light began spreading through the woods.

Belyra could smell smoke in the air. She turned around to see flames engulfing the trees just behind her. With a surprised scree she took to the air

Jinx took off into the air and looked behind her, one of those strange moments again, she thought worriedly.

Moonflight felt too hot in her hollow in a nice dry spruce tree, she opened her eyes to see flames flickering into her hollow. She let out a shriek of fear and flew through the flames, singing her feathers and getting multiple burns.

Luster heard screams and saw fire licking up the tree he and Lyric where on. He let out a shrill warning cry and took of like a bullet.

Gemstone could smell the smoke and since she was on the ground it was much thicker. She could fly but only up to a tree or from one tree to the other, she would not be able to hover in the air as the smaller birds did.
