Jtara trudged along, lifting her hooves high to avoid the drag of the the snow. She ears her pinned back, escaping the howling wing. She arched her neck for more freedom of movement in her shoulders, and kept her eyes hidden from the harsh snap of wind. She was in the fromt sides, not tired enough to fall behind.

Dark stopped the herd as they came to a grove of trees. The snow wasn't as deep here and the bark was untouched. His herd was growing thin so he decided they would stop and eat here.

Jtara stopped as she heard Dark's whiney through the winds. She saw that her hooves didn't sink into the snow like in the valley, but the forest was thin, so they must be on the hill. She hooves the ground violently with her hoof, digging past the thin but well packed snow, and kicking it away. She caught a glimpse of alfalfa, and extended her neck to eat up to frosty food.

(Accepted)
Dark watched Jatara dig up the snow and followed her example and found the frozen alfalfa underneath

As Jtara had plucked away the rest of the patch, she moved a little further away, keeping her head low to check for signs of life under neath. She flicked her ears back and forth, listening to her herd, than for whatever may be in front of her.

Dark lifted his head, listening for predators that he knew were making their rounds looking for anything, however hopeful, to eat

Jtara filled her self just enough to be satisfied, and began to wander the area in a circle, her brilliant mane casting like a dark cloud against the white mist. Her strong hooves carried her over fallen trees and through the frost grasses, content on exploring.

Jtara faced her ears back wards, listening to dark. She hoover the ground gently several times, eager to move on, but she knew she must wait for the rest of the herd. She turned right and trotted away, closer to the herd.
