As Mika walked out into the open, he caught the scent of another dog. He swung around to see Nico. "Um...hello!" he said feeling a bit nervous. Judging by his body language and growls, he was not in the mood to be friendly so Mika wisely kept his distance so as to give the dog some room.

He almost laughed at the false sense of bravery from the dog. 'You don't fool me runt' he snarled, his ears flattening down to his skull. He stood tall, his puffed out hackles making him look bigger. 'Nothing happens round here without me knowing about it, so my business is no concern of your' he growled, flashing his long fangs.

He watched as Sock trottted away and sighed. The turned towards the building and climbed a small stack of snow covered logs to see through a window, to see his master. He lay his muzzled on the ledge jutting from the window frame, eyes watching as the shadows inside worked to help Ashten. If he were to die, they would need new homes, but who would adopt them both? Ashten will pull through......he will pull through.....he will....he's got to.., he said to himself over and over, but they way his master looked eairlier he knew he wouldn't make it.

The fea watched Jalyn as he climbed the logs, then curled up into a tighter ball. Her tail covering her face as she lay in her masters spot on the sled. Keeping it warm and taking in Ashtens scent.

She trotted smartly through the snow, the crunchy ice came up to her duel claw and numbed her paws to the bone. She walked with her usual posture, chest puffed out and tail curled over her backs. Surveying the crisp white wonderland that made up her surroundings, it wasn't long until her eyes found Verian.

A feral growl escaped his lips; he wasn't happy being spoken to like that. With a swift leap, he had positioned himself in front of the male, his lips curled over into a mean snarl, his mouth opened slightly, exposing row after row of razor sharp teeth. 'What was that you said runt?' he snapped, snapping his teeth inches away from his face, deliberately missing contact with his flesh.

"Don't call me that!" Mika snapped back. With a sudden burst of strength, Mika knocked Nico into the snow. He stepped back, amazed by his strength, before turning on his heels and running back to the cabin.
