Everything around was fairly quiet, peaceful really. His feathered tail brushed against the backs of his hindlegs as he walked and a soft pant parted his jaws. Even the shady forest couldn't keep away the heat it seemed. One of his triangular, floppy ears flickered backwards as he heard the sound of larger animals moving through the river as he had not too long ago. More dogs? He didn't bother looking back to verify or deny his thought as he really just wanted to get on to the city quickly. Plus whatever it had been didn't seem to be getting closer to him anyways. Cynric moved into a quicker trot, more ground covering as well as easy to manage until he felt someone's eyes on him. He slowly stopped, ears perking forward and then flickering back as he looked ahead of him and then turned to look behind him. The figure of another dog, female if he wasn't mistaken, stood near the river not too far from where he had just been. He looked questioningly at her, not bothering to say anything just yet, instead he'd let her make the first move. She looked frightened, holding a fish...on a stick? That was very odd but he supposed a nice way to catch the slippery things.

The ground vibrated beneath her white paws, making he stand and crane her head to peer into the tunnel that the train would no doubt be coming from. Her tail wagged ever so slightly as she saw the closening light and she moved back a step as the thing suddenly rushed passed. Not out of fear but rather out of the knowledge that if she was too close the thing could easily kill her. She'd seen it happen to a not so lucky cat as well as a few rats get run over and Eris didn't care to end her life like that. The tell-tale screeching that meant the train was stopping made her look to either side of her, aware that humans had begun to move forward, closer to her though ones closest to her were still wary and watchful of her. Doors opened and as people surged out of the door, Eris took her chance and slipped through the hurrying bodies, making contact with a few as she did but ignoring the fact. She trotted over to a seat and hopped up, sitting down and facing forward, ears perked forward as she watched people boarding and taking their seats or standing beside the long poles that were placed in equal intervals. Nobody had the courage to sit close to her, leaving open seats in front of, beside, and behind her. It was quite nice to have so much free space to herself. Finally, after everyone was on the train lurched forward and Eris' little adventure on the train began.
