"Iris!" Devil snapped, looking herin the eye. At least Meadow was trying. He looked towards Rose. "There's another herd not too close by, so if the stallion comes, I want you to take the others to safety." He snorted, frustrated with the two mares.

Iris snorted and looked away "If you think about it, it's her fault and I don't have to apologize" the mare snapped.

Rose nodded "I actually took time to look around and there are actually two stallions neer by. One just a loner with one mare, then Jace with two mares" rose nickered.

Diego/Andalusian/stallion/with Kite
Diego said softly,"We have to be very careful." He smelt two stallions nearby,and he was going to risk,losing Kite,again. He stood next to her side.

Rose stopped grazing,and asked,Jace are we going to move on ?"

Kite nodded her head and looked around then back at the stallion. She could tell he was scared of losing her again but it didn't bother her. She looked back to the trees at listening for the other herd.

Jace looked at Rose and shook his head gently "Not yet." He told her gently then nuzzled her. He looked back over his herd then grazed.

(Jace is farther from the other herds so there is a less likely chance they would meet up.)

Devil looked at her, nodding. "Good." It was hard to tell, but he was impressed. He stared at Iris. "Yes you do, for all the sarcastic comments which just made everything worse." He said, looking at her. He snorted, and looked at Rose. "Really now?" He said, thinking. How many mares just showed one's position. Jace had two, and that was just one across from three, so Devil was not going to push it, but there was a loner...

A smile true to his name formed on his lips, and he chuckled. "What do you think my odds of success are if I... Checked him out?" He said, partly to himself, partly to Rose. He looked at Rose. "Let the two squabble it out, dont take sides. Move them to safety if necessary.

He turned, going off at a swift trot. Once he saw Diego and Kite, he almost laughed. Diego was standing next to Kite, almost smothering her. That was a bad move, right there. It would mean he would have a handicap. Intending to use the handicap to the best of his ability, Devil stepped up to right in front of Diego, tossing his head challengingly. "Hello." He said suavely, happy.

With Diego standing next to Kite, he couldnt kick out because Devil knew the expression well. He didnt want Kite to even get a scratch, so he'd lay over a puddle for her to step on it if he could, so her hooves wouldnt get dirty. The only way Diego could move, was to back away. Which Devil could use to his advantage as well.

Ignoring the pretty much stuck stallion, Devil turned to Kite. "Hey there, my name's Devil Fire, what's yours?" As he said this, his neck was bowed, and his tail threatening as he swished it, challenging Diego to stop Devil from talking to Kite. The sun shone upon his coat, setting it alight, his ginger mane and tail like flares of a fire.

The dappled grey mare looked the stallion and snorted at him. She wasn't in heat anymore so that was a plus but she still didn't feel like dealing with stallions right now. And besides she was with Diego. But true to Kites nature she only wanted the best stallions and the only one she had met was Diego. The stallion that was now challenging her stallion showed he was confident and like to take charge. Kite like that which isn't something she had seen with Diego. She bobbed her head before finally opening her mouth "Kite."

The mare seemed to be a bit resistant at first, giving Devil a snort, showing her reluctance. Devil didn't mind. She would come to it soon enough. He was about to speak again, coaxing her to talk when she took the initiative, bobbing her head slightly before replying. Kite. A short, simple name, but nice enough. He looked her over slightly, nodding to himself as well. She seemed pretty sturdy as far as Devil was concerned, and that made him happier. He didn't want a weak mare to have his foals, after all. He wanted his herd to have good, strong, at least healthy mares. Kite didn't smell like she had any form of sickness on her, which was good.

Devil gave Kite a smile. "Hello, Kite. That's a nice name you have there, though short. Was your dam the one who gave you that name?" He asked curiously, just to sustain the conversation. There were a few horses with short names, like Meadow and Iris-Though he was pretty sure that wasnt her full name-, but there were not very much that were named after man made things, like Kite. That intrigued him a little. Whilst he talked, his head rose a little higher, him gaining a little more confidence with Kite actually answering him. He didn't become too cocky, though. Over- confidence was usually what killed a horse. He was proud as his head was high, though one ear and one eye constantly tracked Diego as Devil pushed his buttons, waiting to see when Diego would finally have enough to risk hurting his mare by attacking Devil.

Kite watched the stallion and caught him looking her over. Kite pinned her ears back and slightly reared at him, warning him to watch it. She kept her ears pinned back and her stare turned more into a glare. "My human named me." She said snorting at him again. She was thankful for not being in foal. And not having to worry about a foal, she could fight him and knew she could take him or she would die trying. She had fought several stallions and some were twice the size of the two standing next to her.

Devil immediately looked at Kite again, wondering what had caused it. He found the answer soon enough, but he looked at her a little curiously, wondering why she was so angry about it. He was just making sure his prize was worth getting into a fight for, and to him, she should be honoured he had stayed. He honestly had pretty high standards when it came to snaking.

Nontheless, he realised she felt a little angered at how he looked at her, and so he nodded his head ever so slightly in apology, though that was all she was going to get. "You have a very unique name, Kite." He said, saying what was frankly on his mind at the moment. He saw no need to lie over such a tribial matter, and he hated flattery, after all. It was just so fake. So, he wasnt about to say she had the best name in the world, but he did think it was pretty unique.

His body language turned into a slightly less stifling one, basically saying. "Relax, I wasnt degrading you, I was praising you." But even so, his eyes were fixed on Diego.

Kite took the apology. She continued to watch him and gave a short nod "Thanks." She said simply. Kite realized that he didn't flirt or try to win her over by flaunting. Another thing she liked in her books, since it ment the stallion was straight to the point and didn't bother with flirting with mares. The mare finally relaxed but only a little when his body language change. She let her ears perked forward at the stallion "So is that your herd making all the noise?" She asked bobbing her head a few times. Her tail flicked in an annoyed yet settle way.
