★Valley Herd ★ Private at the Moment

Devil walked up to Darla, smiling a little. When Meadow asked him, he nodded. "Yes, but stay close." He looked at Darla, giving her a small smile. "Hello, the name's Devil Fire, but you can call me Devil. " he said, introducing himself formally. He was about to say more, but a nicker caught his attention and he turned to see the troublesome stallion once more. Immediately, his tail floated and he held his head high, warning the other stallion not to get close. That was why he loved being an arabian sometimes, their tail was so much more mobile, and helped him make a point.

"Well that was rude. But anyway..." He muttered, before turning towards the mare once more with a gentle sidestep. "What might your name be?" He asked politely. His sidestep had blocked Breeze from seeing Darla, making an obvious statement. He made no moves on the mare, though, just waiting for her answer.

Jace stopped and looked back at the mare and smiled "Then welcome to my herd." He said and gently nuzzled her. He nudged her forward towards the other mares. "Lilly this is Desert Rose and Flower." He said pointing to each mare then he pointed to Lilly "And this is Lilly." He said softly.

Rose lifted her dun head ,and said,"Pleasure to meet ,you Lilly."

Lilly smiled to both of the other mares and nodded in greeting it, "It's nice to meet you both as asked well."She said softly, before she looked over to see Jace looking for danger. She turned slightly and began to walk off from the group a little and went back to the water, lowering her mouth back into it.

Breeze
he see's a mare on the beech (Darla) he nickers to her and apraoches her slowly, not wanting to startle her

(That doesn't really make sense, because Darla is in the Rocky Grassland, not the beach.)

(You know, actually, if there are two mares for every stallion, then you get very small herds. There are supposed to be bachelor herds, but many rps dont play them, so that rule should be lifted... Just a suggestion...)

Devil stopped, looking at Rose. "Is that so...? " he murmured, scenting the ground. He hadnt scented anything, and still hadnt now, but, then again, this was his first time here, if that accounted for anything. Hearing Iris, he looked towards her, raising his tail. "This, you mean? All of my breed do it when they run. Also, it's very noticable so you would know where I was, and follow. We did just run through a place full of foliage, so I wanted to make sure you two were able to see at least a part of me clearly." He explained.

Continuing to sniff, he finally found the tiger scent Rose had pointed out, to their right. "About that, Rose, I was planning on going straight ahead, not-" Devil broke off as he saw the mare run when she heard a whinny. He arched an eyebrow. "Thought that mare didnt like stallions." He said, before shrugging.

"Ah well, then. Lets just heed her advice, and turn back." Devil said. The fact that he hadnt fully discovered the island yet marked it as unsafe, so it was probably for the best that they went back to the mainland.

Nudging both Iris and Meadow back, he swam with them back to the mainland, shaking himself off upon reaching. What he saw interested him a little. A dark bay mare, in the middle of the rocky highlands. (Darla) Telling the other two they could relax for a while here as they were probably in need of a little rest, he walked forward, giving the female a nicker as he approached, so as not to startle her.

The dark bay mare looked over quickly at the sound of someone approaching her. She stopped shacking debris off herself and turned towards where the sound was coming from. She sighed a little as she noticed a stallion and his mares. When he came up and began to introduce himself, "I'm Darla." She said quickly before she began to look around a little, her eyes stopping for a few seconds on his mares.

Devil nodded, replying politely. "Im Devil Fire, but you can call me Devil. Its nice to meet you." He turned when he heard Meadow call him, and he nodded after a while. "Alright, but stay close to Iris." He called back, before turning his attention back to Darla. Her scent clearly told him she had no herd, so he was most definitely interested. "Would you like to join my herd?" He asked her gently, looking at her. He never had really been one for small talk, besides, it was summer, and the flies were being annoying. He found flirting a little irritated and a complete turn off anyway, and found more pleasure in having things straight to the point. His ginger tail flicked, and he looked at her patiently.

he glares at Devil and asked Darla "Would you like to join me"? he bowed alittle and winked at her with a smile

Diego placed the lily in into Kite's fair mane,and said,"It suits you."He bent down to graze once more.

Rose nuzzled Jace back.

Kite watched Diego and gave him a small smile. She lowered her head and grazed.

Jace smiled at Desert Rose and nuzzled her back. He looked at Lily and watched her then for any other stallions.

(No. I saw it. I just didn't have room to quote it. I was on my phone and was having to quote a post, reply, copy it, go back, get the next quote, paste what I had already done, reply to the new quote, copy, and do it all over multiple times. That reply took me about 20 minutes to do.)

Darla backed away from both the stallions and shook her head, "Sorry, but I'm new around here. I'm not ready for a herd. I'm still planning to go take a look around this place." She said simply as she looked between the two stallions.

Devil huffed, taking a step back to show he respected her decision. Usually he might snake, but he knew that Breeze would just interfere, big oaf. He nodded. "Alright, tell me if you change your mind." He trotted back to his herd, swishing his tail at Breeze as he kicked out at the stallion, an obvious 'stay away from my herd' sign. Breeze was way too close, and Devil was irritated at the inconsistent stallion.

Rose looked at Devil and nickered to him.

Iris laughed at Breeze as Darla turned them both down.

Devil pricked his ears as Rose nickered to him, letting out a trumpeting whinney back, to answer her and show his dominance and another cue for Breeze to get away. This was where his herd currently was, and he didnt like Breeze near his herd. Seeing Iris laughing, he found it hard not fo crack a grin as well as he went to them, laying down for a much needed roll. He then got back up, looking around once more.
