☆Autumn☆
Autumn stalked through the forest, tail out straight and body low to the ground. She silently emerged from the foliage to see the dusty brown fur of a well fed rabbit. She watched it for a moment as it obliviously munched on leaves and berries from the surrounding forest. She tensed her muscles, ready to leap at her prey. She lunged forward, through the trees, and clumsily snatched it up by it hind leg. It kicked back, digging its claws into the back of her throat and causing her to drop her prey. The rabbit screamed in pain, one obnoxious shriek after another. Autumn clamped her jaws down on its neck, silencing the prey. Its bones crunched under her pressure, she could taste blood. Not only the blood of her prey but her own blood that trickled from the wound in her throat and stained the fur of her newly caught meal. She cursed out loud and picked her prey up from the ground. She padded back towards the packs den site, neatly placing one paw in front of the other. The taste of her own blood haunted her as she walked forward, it dripped down her throat with an uncomfortable tingling feeling than bade her sick to her stomach. Despite the pain and frustration the rabbit had caused her it was good to be out hunting, she had not been out in a few days.
