My sons will starve if this hunt fails and I have no intention of loosing them, so I will hunt small game before the Hunt." says Oceana with a nonchalant flick of her dark-brown ears. A pause, because she considers that she may have been rude. "Is that alright?" Not that the answer would stop her hunting...

[size=85]Lykaios nods, "Alright then. Let's start now." He stands up and shakes the snow that clung to his fur. He waits for Fell to get up as well, before he starts to walk and investigate the area for a place to stay briefly. Whether it'd be an abandoned cave or an old cave, it did not matter. It would suffice. Though, finding it may be quite difficult due to the fact that there are hibernating animals, such as bears, as of now due to the winter. But they needed some shelter. The winds were bound to pick up any moment now and the snowfall would turn into a blizzard. Staying out in the middle of a blizzard wasn't pleasant either, with the wind nipping and the snow repeatedly thrown.

Fell followed Lykaios looking around for a safe place to stay for a short time, but where? Sniffing the air around her Fell tried to smell if there were any animals close by, even if they were hibernating their scent should still be faint...there was nothing. No bears, badgers, foxes...elk, nothing. This was unsettling, there were no animals, no prey. The birds have gone south for the winter for there wasn't any song birds out either... "Lykaios...There's nothing...No animal scent anywhere"

Lit tore through the rabbit with everything but gentleness, if you could call it that. It was gone in less than a minute, the bones that were to think to crunch laying in a mess pile at his large grey paws. The warmth of the meal coursed through him as if the soul of the creature had entered into his blood and conjoined with his own, strong and stable unlike the rest of his deteriorating body. The hare brought on a sense of energy and outlook that he knew wouldn't last long, but it was nice for the time being.

Fox settled between two of the unfamiliar dens, here body aching from the running and the walking and the thrashing and the cold. She felt filthy, wanting nothing more than a small meal and some warm water to wash off in, but knowing both were far from her reach as she drifted off into an uneasy sleep.

Lujayan looks at her. "You do not need my permission to hunt. It is only group hunts that require my permission, for it is my duty to lead them. But go ahead- Though if the time is right and I return from my scouting, I will bring the hunt about. Do be aware of that." She responds, before turning her gaze away and treading off into the forest. Her breath mists in front of her, thin and translucent, flowing behind her as she moves. She looks at the sky, sniffs about the ground and trees on light feet, energy returned to her legs and muscles as she flits about in that graceful, wolf manner of hers.

As Lykaios hears Fell's words, he felt tensed suddenly, muscles contracting and holding still as he cocks his ears for a sound of crunching snow under paws, scents the air for what faint scent he can catch. And Fell was right. There wasn't anything, no living creature around them, and it unsettled him for a reason that he did not know. When he released his breath, which he did not realize was caught in his throat for a few moments, he let himself loosen up just the slightest. "No, Fell. There isn't." He responds. "Does it unnerve you as well?" He asks, looking back at her with milky, golden eyes.

Fell nodded "yes, it does." Answered Fell. "Where would've all the animals gone? Why would they all just disappear?" Fell asked herself more than anyone

Lykaios felt stiff and tired, yet he knew he must keep moving. Till wherever their feet takes them. He shivers slightly, despite his thick fur coat. The temperature was getting colder, his breath more like a thick cloud of mist in front of his face. If a blizzard were to turn up, finding shelter in the screaming wind and the flurry of snow would be quite difficult. He looks back at Fell with somber, golden eyes. "I don't know." He responds, looking away. "But it doesn't settle right with me." He says, his voice a mumble. It was strange. Winter was usually where herds migrate and others hibernate, or... Stick through it, like they were. But this was awfully silent, even in the winter.

Ocean nods and smiles though mentally is shaking her head at this wolf. So strange! Then she is off, hunting for something to eat. The brown wolf flicks her ears when she spots Fox and then pads over. "Fox? " to be sure it is the same wolf.

Soldier flicks his ears and widely grins when he hears the kills being eaten - by the crunch of bones, and the salt-tang of new blood. So the Alpha HAD eaten it, surprise, surprise. Guess this old warrior isnt completely without use! Maybe now they'll reconsider keeping him on as a pup-sitter omega and actually let him hunt!

[Caffeinated Fox]

The faes ears flicked back lazily at the sound of her name. Fox lifted her head slowly, swiveling towards the sound of her name. "Yea?" She yawned, words slurring like the world around her, her eyes droopy from sleep.

Lit stood, the camp more full than ever. If the hunters somehow did track the wolves to this hideout, it would be like shooting fish in a barrel. The pup den was deep enough to safely conceal the little ones and maybe a small adult, but the others... They'd cross that bridge when they came to it. He paced to his den, reluctantly imagining what it would be like for a bullet to tear through the back of his head, right where the neck connected.

"Come on." barks Ocean nudging the red she-wolf to her feet. "You'll freeze to death out here. On your feet." she licks her ears and nuzzles her ribs. "Unless you want me to get Soldier to carry you. Up you go, to the loner's den." *Since your packmates dont care enough for you!* she thinks bitterly.

Samma stood up, watching Ocean talk with Fox a little way off. What were they doing? She thought. 'Do you think we should we go help them?' She asked Soldier.
Atgaar charges Jax, butting his head into the other pups shoulder to try and knock him over. In his mind he was snarling like a dominant alpha putting another wolf in place, but in reality he still just sounded like a pup who was yet to develop his voice. He grabbed a mouthful of Jax's fur, careful not to nip his skin or hank hard enough to pull any out.
Itachi sat outside the dens, a little way from Nebbia, scanning around, looking for any signs of trouble, be it a scuffle breaking out between the three groups or an outside threat. 'How long is this going to last?'he asked his alpha quietly. Tensions already seemed to be building between the loners and the rest, and he wasn't sure how well his pack mates would take their demotions. They'd all worked hard for those ranks, to have them stripped off without a second word would sting.
