Zachary:
My eyes widen and I step back.
"I'm not gonna hurt you. Your mare is the one who came to get me, so I figured you had sent her. Sorry for scaring you," I tell the girl.

Decoy:
I nod.
"Decoy. I'm Decoy. Desert Decoy," I snort when I hear myself. I sound so stupid!

[beth.]

Scarlette -
She smiled at his words, but said nothing about his expression afterwards. She softly snorted and began to graze near by the stallion flicking her sented tail.

Katherine -
She just nodded. "Sorry?" SHe repeated "Dosen't matter....... I do it all the time.. alright that was a lie.... look I should get this straight, I haven't exactly been round other people for... 4 years... so... Your the first person i have seen in 4 years..." She sighed... "Katherine by the way.. Call me Katy" She sighed softly.

Zachary:
"Katy. I like that. Anyways, you're the first person I've spoken to since my sister's death. I sneak around my dad's ranch and get food for myself and the horses, but I also hunt deer and stuff. I never talk to anyone that knows me because they tend to pity me, and it just makes me angry," I pause, looking around. My eyes fall back on Katy and I smile.
"Would you like to come back to the mountain valley with me? I could show you around, maybe sneak some snacks from the ranch. It's really fun. And we could get to know each other better, I mean, if you want. You don't have to come," I smile and offer my hand to her.

[beth.]

Katherine -
She looks to his hand. "Well.... Okay... but It probaly more so the other way around... I have been her longer than you have... so maybe I could show you around." She laughed softly taking his hand she stood up. "And, That down there is Scarlette. and no, i did not send her.... She tends to be pushy and is quite the sticky beak." She smiled softly as she released her grip. And then she stood against the bridge fence, which stopped you from falling down. She then placed both hands onto it and hauled herself upwards handstanding then swung herself down releasing her grip grabbing the bridge she then clicked her tounge and Scarlette stood underneath her. Katherine's feet touched her back and so she let go and stood on her mares back. "Coming?" She laughed and knelt down onto her mare sliding her legs on either side of her mares back.

Scarlette -
She flicked her tail as Katy stood on her, not caring then when she sat down on her she turned and waited for the boy. Scarlette had a feeling if the boy even tried he'd just fall.

Zachary:
I smile and watch Katy. I laugh and come down and mount up onto my Decoy's back.
"I don't what you're talking about, but I've been exploring this area since I was able to stay on a horse. But truly, my sister was the adventurer. She would stay here all day and night. Made father and mother sick with worry," I laughed softly at the memory of my mother and father pacing the kitchen, waiting for her to come home. Then Lori coming into the house like nothing happened and asking for something to eat. I looked at Katy and let her lead the way.

[beth.]

Katherine -
"What ever you say" I giggle then whisper to my beutiful mare and she speeds off into a gallop. She knew nearly ever rock and log in the area and knew each rode and ranch on the border of the forrest so she had an idea of where abouts Zach lived. She slowed to a trot when she hit the mountean and trotted down the steepish hill. She got to the botttom and waited silently hopping off she sat by a tree.

Zachary:
I laugh and lean forward. Decoy gallops until we hit the mountain, then he stopped suddenly. I looked down. The steep, overgrown path where Lori had fallen to her death. I put a hand on Decoy's neck.
"Its alright boy. We can do it," I try my hardest to avoid looking down at my sister's grave on the opposite side, but my eyes find their way there anyways. I blink slowly, then lean forward and let Decoy decide. He walks very nervously and his muscles are tense. I let him pick slowly through the overgrown path and then we were down. I let him trot over to Katy and Scarlette.
"Hey, sorry. That's the trail my sis died on. She was riding Decoy and he hasn't gotten over losing his girl. I guess I haven't really gotten over losing her either," I saw with a soft smile, "Where to?"

[beth.]

Katherine shrugged mounting her horse. "Oh, sorry, We can go the other way next time" SHe smiled and then shrugged again. "Ur, that one?" She said pointing in the direction of Zach's farm. "Now if That is your farm, I'm a lucky guess!" SHe smiled.

Scarlette rolled her eyes softly turning to the stallion "You okay?"

Zachary:
I take a deep breath.
"First, its a ranch, not a farm, and second, yes, its my father's ranch down there," I say with a laugh.

Decoy:
I blink slowly for a few minutes before answering Scarlette's question.
"No. Not really. I, I can't go that way anymore. Its, its where my human girl died. She feel off my back and I couldn't catch her. She fell to her death and I was alone. I was alone for almost a week before Zach found me by Lori's grave. He's the only human I trust now," I nicker softly.
