I snorted when I saw the mare push Zach. I nudged my lead mare and left her side, to join my human colt and the newcomers. I snorted a warning at the mare, telling her not to hurt my human.

I smile softly at the girl, knowing how she must feel.
"My name's Zach. And this, is Decoy. Desert Decoy, but Decoy for short," my soft smile changes to a sad smile as I think about explaining why I live out here.I shake the thoughts from my head and refocus my eyes on the girl, my soft smile returning.

[beth.]

She snorted pinning her ears, "I didn't hurt him, did i!" She snapped stomping her hoof. "but if you or he hurts a hair on my girl, your both dead" SHe said and she meant it. She was one of the worst horses to try and argue against, she always won, usually with the other seriosuly hurt physically and somtimes mentally.



I look up but don't shift my mouth. I look to my mare who threatens the stallion and i roll my eye and elbow her gently. "Enough" i mumble. "I'm... umm..... I'm.. ummm...." I spoke but still said nothing till my mare nuzzled me and I smiled feeling confident i finally spoke. "I'm... umm.. Katherine... and this... this is... Scarl... Scarlette... Scarlette Red rose, but... I just... call her... Scarlette." I smiled a little, she thought for a moment. then sighed. "I have.. to. go, home now...." I spoke quickly mounting my mare, but for he probaly thought i would go to town, instead I would head to the forrest I smiled again then spoke. "Home" I said and my mare galloped towards my small tree house. It was only about 150 meters from where she had been, so not far at all, maybe a 5 minute walk. she jumped off climbed up the ladded and went into the house then exited the house walking across the bridge above the ground attatched to two trees and sat on the porch on the second tree.

Zachary:
I watch the girl go, kind wanting to go after her, but not wanting to seem rude. I pat my horse and climb onto his back. We ride back up the trail and dismount and grab the hay bags. I distribute the hay between all the horses then take out the grain buckets. I take a handful of each kind and give the horses a mix of grain.

Decoy:
I dig into my hay and grain happily, almost forgetting about the mare and human filly.

Katherine Natalie West -
In a way I was expecting him to follow me, and when he didn't, I was a little disappointed. I sighed and shrugged my shoulders and called down to my mare who seemed to have already run off, which was not a bother, she did this all the time at this time of day. To be a wild horse. I grabbed a book and sat against the trunk and read it. It was about a girl in the wild with her beutiful stallion and the boy who fell for her.(literally)

Scarlette red rose -
I softly flicked my tail as i walked back to the stallion. It took me three minutes and I was actually kinda expecting a 'how on earth did you get back so fast!?' but even if i did i just kept walking to the boy. When i was about a meter from him I stopped and snorted softly.

Decoy:
My head went up when I noticed the mare had returned. I thought about guarding Zach, but then decided he was fine. I went back to my food, though keeping an eye on the mare.

Zachary:
I looked up to the girl's mare in front of me. I wondered if the girl had come, but then saw that she had not. I slowly grabbed a handful of molasses grain from the bin beside me and held it out for her.
"Hey girl, where's you person?" I say with a soft smile.

Scarlette red rose -
She softly snorted and sniffed his hand and nibbled and then dropped her front legs onto her knees nudging the boy on. "Get on kid.. she is alone, dont most guys run after the girl..." She grumbled not exactly talking to the colt.

Decoy:
I snort and step up to Zach.
"I can carry him. I do not know you, therefore do not know if you will bring him back or not." I tell the mare, "And you do know that he can't understand your words, right?" I ask her as I turn my side towards Zach and nicker. "He can only understand your actions," I say to the mare, wondering why she wants my human colt.

Zach:
I take a step towards the mare, knowing what she wants, but then Decoy comes up. I roll my eyes and mount him instead.
"Sorry girl, but he doesn't want me going alone, I guess," I say softly. I wait to see where we are going.

[beth.]

Scarlette Red rose -
"Very well and yes i do..." She said softly pinning her ears she stood up and trotted off towards the small tree house like house thingy. She whinnied and looked up onto the porch and whinnied again. She watched Katherine race into the house and didn't come out. She stomped her hooves and called out again. She then turned to Decoy. "Let him off.. She has been alone for 10 years.. maybe you should think about allowing him up there I don't know, to comfort her or get to know her.... I don't know how human's work together.. Katherine has never been with anyone but herself and me... she does not dea-" She stopped herself their before she lost it.

Katherine Natalie west -
"Scarlette!" She grumbled and bolted to the house. She stayed in there and sat on her bed legs tight together and had her arms rapped around them.

Zachary:
I see the girl run into the tree house and I get off Decoy. I go up and into the tree house, seeing the girl looks afraid. I smile and look around.
"Nice place. Better than mine, anyways. Why did you run from me? I'm not going to hurt you. I live out here, just like you do. I have since3 my sister's death. My stallion, he's actually her horse. My parents blame him fro the death, but I know it was Loreann's idea to explore the dangerous trail. Anyways, I won't hurt you. I promise," I tell the girl with a soft, kind smile.

Decoy:
I snort when Zachary disappears into the strange human thing. I paw the ground nervously, not wanting him to get hurt.

Katherine -
She looked up in suprise. "Holy cr*p!" She said in fright hitting her head as she bounced back. "Ow.." SHe said putting her hand on her head she looked up. "I didn't.... I just had to get back.. And I know you won't.. over Scarlette's dead body would you hurt me..." She said suddenly and strangely sounding all confident... It was an act... but it sounded REALLY real.

Scarlette -
She rolled her eye's "Oh settle down colt... Over your dead body would your colt get hurt and over mine would my filly get hurt.... so I think he's safe..." She said "I'm Scarlette"
