Decoy sighed softly. "I would go with you, but I have to stay here where I belong. I promise to wait for you though. Plus, I really must teach my son some manners before long," he said with a soft smile, glancing at Riva with stern eyes. He nuzzled Shy from where he lay to her back and lay his head over her shoulder slowly. He wondered silently about the unborn foal, but didn't say any of it out loud.

Miricle nickered softly and noticed that her mum and sire were not with her and her sister in the stall anymore. She nudged Fantasy and bolted out the stall door, coming to a half when she sees Shy, Lakota, Decoy, Riva and a tiny little sleeping colt. She looked at them for a long time before putting her thoughts into her voice. "What's wrong?" She asks softly, curious.

Zorro nudged Maria softly and then heard his filly's voice in the barn. He looked at his mate and then at the barn. "Um, do we want her bugging Shy? I don't want to make Shy worse by letting the twins tire her out," he turned to go into the barn and fetch the young fillies, but paused. They could also help take Shy's mind off of things. But he still didn't want to tire the poor mare out. "Miricle, why don't you come out here sweetheart. We don't want to bother Shy," he nickered softly.

Zach smiled softly and leaned against the counter. "You just seem preoccupied is all. Do you need hall with anything, love?" He asked softly. He was glad Xander was asleep. It almost seemed like old times. But of course, there were other issues to worry about. Shy was ill and Lakota could eventually show signs, too. Also, he had a feeling they wouldn't be raising Xander out here. It was definitely dangerous out here. He would miss living out here, but he knew it was probably safer for Xander. He wondered if there were any stables in town, but figured he wouldn't get decoy to leave if his family didn't want to go. He decided that a little later he would voice his opinion to Katy and see what she thought.

Shy nuzzled Lakota gently. As long as Lakota is safe I'll do what I can I want to get better, being sick could hurt my coming foal." She said softly seeing Miricle appear she smiled at the filly. "Nothing sweety, just not feeling really good." She couldn't lie to the foal but telling what was wrong with her might scare Miricle. She nuzzled Decoy. "Thank you but you shouldn't wait if something bad was to happen." She wondered about her foal growing inside her, what he or she would be like. Would he or she look like Decoy more or Shy. Every thought raced through her mind, none answed

Katy huffed "You know this isn't actually my house, it's my dads, he had it built for me and Nadia when we were little and wanted to get away from the town. But, my dad's broke and he'd put the place on the market" she murmured and "The place has already been sold but they're not moving in for a week or so, and there are no places that a small little house, theres an acer there, maybe Decoy could live there, but I doubt he'll leave Riva and Shy.. Nanna will share the room with Xander once he reachs 4 or 5..." she murmured gently "I know your gonna hate not being with him, so honestly, i don't blame you if rather find another place, but I can't afford anything else, and honestly... I've had enough of treating animals.. I can't deal with it anymore" she sighed softly before turning the vegetables off and straining them before grabbing two plates she placed a small amount for her and Zachs usual amount. She wasn't very hungry, nor talkative, so she sat down and ate hers quickly, before standing up and placing the dishses into the dishwasher walking out side walking down towards the stables with the torch she then pulled the door open flicked the light on and frowned as riva walked out, she looked a little annoyed. She smirked, Decoy must have done something. She shrugged it off and then walked back down towards the stables "decoy you can't stay in there forever... you need to get out" she muttered softly grabbing a stehtoscope listening to her guts sighing hoping he mare would simply get better.

Fantasy stood up and followed her sister. when her father came over she turned and whinnied before prancing after him out to her mother whom wasn't actually near the house she was just outside the valley but still in sight, Ears flicking the filly pranced after her mother happily and now at her mothers side and nursed.

Riva rolled her eyes at decoy and walked outside, she really was sick of Decoy glaring at her. As she flicked an ear she looked to Flame as he came after her. Ears flicking the mare turned and nudged him gently, she went and stood beside Maria and her filly, ears flicking the mare stood quietly ears pinned lightly "flame, be gentle with her!" she snorted as Flame began to nip Fantasy rather hard.

Flame rolled his eyes but behaved and simply just reared up over the young filly nipping at her mane, roughly at first, when his mother glared at hi slightly, she simply nipped her gently.

Shy watched Katy sadly nuzzling her hand when she got close enough she pinned her ears back sadly something was wrong with their humans friends they were so upset and Shy wanted to do something to help

Zach suddenly had an idea. His mom had left his father a year before he had ran away because of abuse and she lived on the other side of town on a ranch with a hundred acres. He hadn't spoken to her in years, but she was the gentlest woman he had ever known. He quickly dialed her old number, hoping she still had it. On the last ring, she answered. "Hello?" Zach took a deep breath and smiled.
"Hey momma. It's Zach," he said softly. He heard her breath catch.
"Zach? Is it really you? Oh! I've missed you so much! I do hope you've gotten away from that man!" He smiled softly and went upstairs to where his child lay sleeping.
"He's long gone momma. Especially after he shot me," he heard her gasp.
"He what??? Oh that piece of cr*p!" She yelled into the phone. Zach sighed.
"Momma, he's gone. In jail or dead I don't know. But, that's not why I called," he smiled as he gently lifted Xander from the crib with one arm and held him against his chest.
"What is it?" She asked softly.
"Well, my girlfriend and I-"
"You have a girlfriend?" She was surprised and happy.
"Yes. And that's not all, momma. You're a grandma," he whispered. He smiled when she shrieked.
"Is it a boy or girl? What's their name? How old are they?" She spouted a bunch of questions and Zach laughed softly.
"His name is Xander and he's about a week old, momma," he said, delighted at her reaction.
"Oh wow! I can't believe it. When do I get to meet them?" She asked excitedly.
"Well, that's the thing. We kind of lost our house because her father is broke. He had to sell the house and all we have enough for is a small two bedroom with one acre. There is decoy to think about and then a sick pregnant mare and a young mare that would follow Katy to the ends of the earth," he explained everything as he headed out to the barn where Katy was.
"I would be happy to let you guys live here, Zach!" He smiled and tapped Katy on the shoulder.
"I gotta go, momma. I'll call you back as soon as I talk with Katy," he hung up and tucked his cell in his pocket and switched Xander to his other arm gently.
"Katy, how would you feel about moving in with my mom for a little while? She has a hundred acre ranch on the other side of town. That way we could keep an eye on Shy and you could keep Shiloh. You know how that mare loves you. Plus, it wouldn't have to be forever. Just until everything gets a little more normal. I mean, we don't have to, but she'd love to meet you. I told her about Xander and she was so excited about being a grandma," he paused and waited for a response. It was a long shot and he didn't know how Katy would feel about it, but he hoped she might like the idea at least a little bit.

Miricle snorted and crow hopped away from Flame excitedly. She nipped him back and retreated a few steps. "Come on!" She whinnied excitedly as she raced out of the barn and stopped in the center of the meadow. She snorted and pranced in place, waiting for the colt to come after her.

Decoy snorted, but let the foals play. Miricle was older so she would be fine. He snorted at Katy and reluctantly stood. He nuzzled Shy softly before slowly leaving the barn, nuzzling Zach softly as he went. He went and stood in the doorway like a guard. He wasn't leaving Shy more than this. She needed him.

Shiloh nickered and went towards the barn after Katy. She ducked past Decoy and nuzzled the girl softly, wishing she could learn to carry the girl on her back like the others carried her and Zach. She nickered to Sorrow and hoped he wouldn't be hurt if she stayed with Katy for a little while. The young horse and grown into a fine looking mare.

Zorro nickered and watched his daughter try to play with Flame. He whinnied to Maria and trotted in her direction, snorting softly as he reached her side. He nuzzled her and then nuzzled Fantasy. "Your sister is having fun, Fantasy. I bet you could join in if you wanted to," he said with a smile. He turned to watch the foals play and watched as Decoy took a post as guard in the barn doorway. "He looks so worried," he said softly.

Shy nuzzled him she wasn't hungry she knew she had to eat though, she took a bit of the oats Katy gave her her stomach wanted to repel the food she forced it down for her foal as she laid her head down tiredly on the ground

Katy looked frowned at Decoy "Cut it out.. do you want your mare and foal dead" she snapped, sighing "sorry buddy..." she mumbled then turned back to Shy, "good girl... you need to eat more, if you can't then.." she sighed, looking back as Zach came in saying a bunch of stuff she wasn't really listening to. But as he said moving in with his mother, keeping an eye on shy and keeping Shiloh she shook her head "no Zach. I told you already, I want nothing to do with horses anymore, nothing to do wth treating animals, that includes Shy, I'm taking her in tonight" She muttered softly and went out of the mares stall, instantly feeling bad for how she spoke to him, but she did say she was giving up vet stuff. if she were a horse, her eyes would be black and her ears would be back, being human, all she could do was snap and growl. She made her way back towards the house grabbing the phone she rang her dad askng him to bring the horse truck over. Hanging up she made her way back outside and waited about 20 minutes, as he got here she greeted him a little rudely, but he didn't say anything. She made her way into the stables looking at Zach then to Decoy, Grabbing a halter and a lead, she looked to Shy, shouldn't be too hard, the mare was pregnant and ill which mean she wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight. She carefuly placed the halter on a rope over the mares neck, and lead her out, hoping for no drama's.

Flame's blind eyes flicked across the area, his ears flicking as he listened for the fillies, he bounced after the two fillies listening to each step of the older fillies.

Mara nuzzled Zorro bobbing her head lightly as she watched the fillies with flame, smiling she turned to Riva "Riva, He's just worried about Shy, I'm sure he doesn't even know what he's doing, I'm sure he'll talk to you later, i don't think he's actually angry with you Darling, don't take anything he does or says personally honey" She smiled lipping the paints neck gently.

Riva didn't reply, she just kept grazing, she wasn't rude about not replying, she just, had nothing to say.

Shy listened to Katy's words she was scared as she pulled shaking her head. "Katy I don't want to go." She nickered upset. She looked around for a way out of this not liking Katy's words I'm taking her in tonight where was she taking her. She backed up Katy has changed and Shy didn't like it. "Decoy what's going on? Where is she taking me? I'm scared Decoy... Katy's different. I don't want to go anywhere!" She whinnied
