You are a stray, either you ran away or your family abandoned you. Maybe you have just become a stray or you have been here a while but, you still remember the day you came.
It was cold very cold and you needed a friend. You lived in town and had to run from dog catchers day and night. There was a park a few yards away but nobody sane ever entered there, it was untamed and wild. But you were lonely. You trotted towards it and saw the most peculiar thing, paw prints on the sidewalk. They were made out of mud. You ran and ran looking for someone, something. You saw more , tracks lots of tracks but no dogs. Just when you were about to give up you saw a dog over a hill. You ran towards him and he welcomed you into his pack. To think, it all started with muddy paw prints.
