Welcome to the Herd.

We are a large herd of wild horses, but people are coming to try to take us in as workhorses and some of us possible racehorses. The humans don't come often, but when they do the horses all flee, running to places they're not familiar with just to get away. It's more difficult to get away during the winter season, because for most the snow gives away their coat and it's slippery and difficult for horses to move quickly on. In the spring season, stallions fight each other in order to find a mare to mate with. The summer is usually peaceful, unless the humans intrude, the biggest weather concerns for the summer are thunder storms and lightning. The fall is colder, and there may sometimes be forest fires. The winter is a cold, often miserable time. The spring is mating season, so the stallions begin to fight each other and there is a lot of violence between the males.

Territory

The herd makes their home a large, open place with a forest around it and a lake on one side. The forest comes as an easy escape from humans during the winter because it's difficult to shoot tranquilizers through trees. The clearing they have is extremely large, with a few large hills that horses stand on to get attention from the rest of the herd. Often bearing the news of humans, fires, and other threats. The lake is their source of water, and they graze on the grass that is in the field, and they eat bushes and other plants that they can find. There are some apple trees and pear trees that they can eat from as well. During the winter the lake freezes over, mostly, but sometimes the horses can break the ice in order to drink the water. When the humans come, the horses have an advantage because the know the land, unless they escape to territories they're unfamiliar with.

Personality..Star is young wild and free, she's bubbly and is a good babysitter for the foals. She is strong, but she tries to avoid getting involved in violence. Knows the land pretty well, extremely fast.
My Story.. Star was partially raised by her Dam, but found that the herd they were with wasn't what she wanted, so she left the herd and raised herself completely wild.

Personality.. Seeker is usually seen as a nice and gentle stallion, unless he is threatened or it's mating season. He can be a little bit controlling, but otherwise he is calm and listens to others thoughts on things.
My Story.. Seeker was born and raised in the wild, happy to be free. But, when he was just a yearling, the humans came to the herd he was raised with and attempted to capture some, including him. He had gotten a rope around his neck, but he managed to get away, losing the rope when it got caught on a branch running away. Since then he has hated the humans with a burning passion, but then again... he always felt like that.

Markings.. He is a bay horse, but he has Somatic Mutation in his genes. It gave him odd white patches on him, but it's completely natural and does no harm. He has a two socks on his left hind feet.
Hoof Color Grey/Black
Description.. Seeker is a naturally bay horse with Somatic Mutation, giving him irregular white patches on his neck and body. This is mostly on his left side. He has a small star on his forehead, as well as a white strip on the right side of his face. His eyes a warm brown, and his hooves black and grey. He also has faded patches of lighter brown on his elbows and hindquarters. His mane has a little bit of white in it as well as his tail, both are long and thick. His left front leg has some more of the mutation, and his hind feet have socks.

Personality.. Sydney is a nice mare, but is moody when she is left out. She doesn't necessarily like to be the center of attention, but she likes to be in a group and actually get talked to, not off to the side. She is basically a social butterfly. Although she likes to be around others, she also likes her down time, but that's not very often.
My Story.. She was born in a large herd, so she always had others around to talk to. One time her herd was caught in a bad storm, losing a lot of horses. They recovered, but Sydney lost her Dam.

Description.. Sydney is a light brown snowflake appaloosa with a black mane and a tail that fades from black to white. Her muzzle is dappled. She also has a blaze.
