These horses are unique. Instead of travelling in herds with one stallion and numerous mares, they travel in partners. One mare and one stallion. But, before a stallion and mare team up, two or three mares may travel together. Same with the stallions. A few stallions may travel together, until they go their own way and find a travelling partner. Sometimes two or three pairs will join together and travel together for a little, then they break into their pairs of two once again. Of course, living like this has its downsides. It may be hard to escape danger with only two pairs of eyes and ears to be alert. But, with only two horses, there are less mouths to feed andless horses to account for if disaster strikes. Native Americans roam these lands as well, but they serve as no threat to these horses. They're more like a friend. They care for injured horses and feed them. They keep the horses safe from white men who may try to tame them. So, will you find a travelling partner? Stay safe? Survive?

All of mine and Tess's rules apply in this rp. If you haven't read her rules yet, do it now! I will be able to tell if you have not read them.
This is a high semi literate roleplay. I expect at least two detailed paragraphs with correct puncuation and grammar. I don't mind a few spelling errors, but please keep them to a minimum. I understand writer's block, but I won't allow it on every post. I still expect at least one nice paragraph with writer's block. I have the right to remove you from this roleplay if you cannot do this.
I am not supplying you with a joining form. I would like you to use your own. I would want your form to be detailed and neat. It doesn't have to take you hours to fill out, but I'd like it if it were appealing to the eye. I also have the right to not accept you if your form does not seem semi literate. Once we start to rp, have fun with your posts and make them pretty.
And in terms of realism, I will not be allowing horses with pink or purple eyes, or fur with unnatural colors like pink, purple, or green. I know the plot to this roleplay isn't exactly realistic because these horses don't form herds, but I just wated to change it around. This should be obvious, but please no powers or special markings that can make the horse control elements and whatnot.
Of course, try to keep genders even. I am not asking that you make one of each gender, but if there are eight mares and five stallions, make a stallion or two to make it even. Again, you do not have to do this, but it would be nice if the amount of mares and stallions were even.
~~ Just that a mare and stallion travel together, it doesn't mean they are mates. And before a mare agrees to travel with a stallion, they should get to know each other. In real life, you wouldn't immediately agree to be someone's boyfriend or girlfriend, so why do it in a roleplay?

the lake- where most animals in the surrounding area gather to drink. In the heat of summer, the amount of water does decrease, but there is still enough to keep the animals happy.
the plains- this is where some horses live. The Native Americans live here as well. In the winter and fall, the grass turns a golden brown. There are very few trees, which makes it hard to live here in the summer. But, some horses live through the heat.
the river- the river is towards the part of the Great Plains where there are more trees. Small forests have formed over time. A few animals live up here rather than near the lake.
the forest- this is where a lot of wolves, mountain lions, coyotes, owls, and other animals live. Some horses live here as well, though there is a risk of being attacked by coyotes, wolves, or mountain lions.
thin forest- here, there are some trees, but not as numerous as the forest. There are many shrubs. Where the land drops, that is where water build after a rainstorm. Not too many horses live here, but there are still some.
the hills- as dry as it seems, plants still live here and trees provide shade. There is another river where the land drops. Few horses live here, mostly because it is so hard to get to.

"Rules are made to be broken."______________________________________η α м є ;; Crimson Lightning. This mare was actually named about a month after her birth, which was when her parents were almost positive hercoat would stay a red chestnut. She was given the 'Lightning' part of her name by the incredible speeds she could run as a young filly.
α g є ;; This mare was born about four years ago.
g є η ∂ є я ;; Crimson Lightning is a pure mare.
в я є є ∂ :: quarter horse x mustang
ω н є я є ѕ н є ℓ ι ν є ѕ ;; around the thin forest. sometimes she finds her way into the hills
ρ є я ѕ σ η α ℓ ι т у ;; First things first. Flare is a complicated mare with a few personalities. If a stallion approaches her, she'll be catious and maybe give him a taste of her humor, which isn't very good. Well, she doesn't think it is. It'll take a while for her to actually get to trust someone like she would trust a family member. This mare has her moments, though. If anything threatens her family, or the one she cares for, she won't hesistate to turn aggressive. She isn't afraid to wound someone who serves as a threat, whether it may be another horse, or a bear, wolf, coyote, or cougar. If she really doesn't like you, Flare won't try to make it obvious, but if you did something really bad, she might glare at you a few times. Or she won't look at you and not say anything. But she won't kill someone just because they seemed a bit rude. Crimson will most likely keep her distance and avoid you as much as she can. But if disaster strikes, don't be surprised if she does talk to you and ask or help, or offer to help you. But, this mare also has a soft side. If someone is hurt and needs help, she won't wait to think about it before jumping in to help. Flare likes company, and when she's alone she wants it. Well, most of the time. Sometimes, like everyone else, she just needs her space. Like once she just got out of a fight, it's best to lt her cool off. Crimson Lightning is very loyal and she won't even think about leaving a stallion for another. Unless they did something horribly wrong. Speaking of stallions. Yeah, sure, Flare may have a small crush once in a while, but she won't show it. The biggest thing she'll probably do is just talk to them sometimes.
н ι ѕ т σ я у ;; Crimson Lightning was born to a bright bay mare and a sorrel stallion. She had an older brother called Harvey. He was a light bay horse with four black legs. Flare lives with her happy little family of four. It was perfect. Until it wasn't. They were camped out in the woods, and it was storming. Flare woke up to the sound of each clan of thunder and awake to see every lightning bolt. Then, with just her luck, the lightning stuck a nearby tree. It collapsed with crackles and creeks. Crimson's mother woke up after her little filly had been nudging her for a few seconds. While the mare was waking up, Flare heard an ear-splitting whinny. Her brother. Harvey. By then, her father was awake and searching for his son. The lightning had not only caused a tree to collapse, but it started a fire. After frantically looking for Harvey, they saw him. The handsome colt had burn marks on his shoulders and he was bleeding. Flare blamed herself for notbeng able to help her brotherbeore he had gotten wounded. Crimson Lightning had also gotten a few wounds. She had a cut from her withers to her stomach which eventually just turned into a scar. Well, after about a year, Harvey and Flare left their parents and travelled together for a few weeks. Then they decided to go their own ways and after a few years of living on her own, she found her way here. Just recently, she has recieved the news of her brother's passing. She refuses to speak of her history, mostly because she fears she would tear up.

α ρ ρ є α я α η ¢ є ;; Crimson Lightning stands at 15.3 hands tall. She has dark brown eyes with flecks of ligh amber. Her fur is a bright red chestnut that matches her mane and tail. The tip of her tail has darker shades of brown. This mare has a soft, black snout, and no white markings on her body. Her hooves are dark gray with a black outline along the top rim.

"Out here, it's survival of the fittest."________________________________α g є ;; This stallion was born five years ago.
в я є є ∂ ;; Quarter Horse with some Akhal Teke
ω н є я є н є ℓ ι ν є ѕ ;; in the plains
ρ є я ѕ σ η α ℓ ι т у ;; Sabotage may seem like an aggressive horse by his name. Sometimes, he does live by that name. But he isn't dangerously aggressive. Most of the time, he likes to be left alone, but once in a while he wants to be around another horse. Whether it's a mare or another stallion. If another horse needs help, Sabo might hesitate at first to help, but he will go in and help the horse after a minute or two. He isn't always the one to end a fight. He'll usually just add to it. This stallion likes jokes and pranks, though. Especially if they aren't on him. But he can take a joke, so don't worry if you do play a prank on him. And in terms of fights, like I said, Sabotage isn't the kind to end a fight, unless it gets out of hand. He will injure something if needed. But he won't usually do that. Sabo also has a soft side. He might not show it, but he loves to be around foals and mares. He would lay down his life to safe a mare if it comes to that. He does like his personal space, though. Sabotage isn't the kind of horse that loves to be in crowds. He'd rather either be alone or with two or three other horses. In conversations, Sabo seems awkward. He isn't very good with words and usually makes a fool of himself when he talks. That's partly why he tries not to speak a lot. But, if he has to, he will share his opinions or feelings.
н ι ѕ т σ я у ;; Sabotage was actually born in captivity. He lived with his mother in a cowboy camp in the West. He never really knew his father, just cause his father was constantly leaving the camp with his rider. Sabo was cared for by a young boy, around the age of fifteen. He was trained at an early age and was soon carrying the boy on his back across the plains. Just the two of them. Reckless young boys, alone in the plains. After quite a few hours of storming across the fields, they returned to camp. It was deserted. No trace of horses or humans. The boy that cared for Sabotage spent hours searching the camp for any sign of his fellow cowboys. He came across a letter that explained they saw Native Americans closing in and left while they could. Just then, they heard distant shouting of the indians. Sabotage was captured by the Natives, but he didn't know where the boy went. Probably let his horse serve as a distraction so he could run. The colt was terrified, and he was angry too that his human would do this to him. He was used by the Native Americans for war. He belonged to a high ranking Native, so he always had some of the best food and crisp water. He was bathed every other day, so his coat was always clean. This kept him nice and healthy. Sabotage kept trying to foget what happened at the cowboy's camp. After about three yars of living with the Natives, they had to leave and let most of their horses go. Sabotage was one of them. He now lives in the plains where the Native Americans used to live. They still live in the plains, but moved to another part a few miles away.
¢ я υ ѕ н ;; no mare has caught his eye yet
м α т є ;; Sabotage is single
ƒ σ α ℓ ѕ ;; he doesn't have any foals
т я α ν є ℓ ℓ ι η g ρ α я т η є я ;; no one
α ρ ρ є α я α η ¢ є ;; Sabotage has a very light grulla coat. He has a faded dorsal stripe and black splotched on his neck and head. He has black legs but no white marking on his head. Sabo has a black mane and tail and brown hazel eyes. He has black outlines at the top of his ears. Sabotage has common black hooves, and they have nothing special with them.
