[[I'm sorry Fee is annoying. OTL]]

- Phelan - male - omega - one and a half -
Phelan watched the snow come down. How pretty! He always loved the snow, it always looked so clean and peace-
"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"". The little wolf bounded about, diving face first into the untauched snow drifts, leaving a small path of destruction and paw prints in his wake. The others would complain about the snow. It's hard to run in, too cold, blah blah blah... but Fee couldn't have been happier. The omega was still practically a pup, and it certainly showed in his behavior.
He collapsed in the snow with a thud, rolling side to side with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. Beneath the snow there was at least some protection from the wind, and he would;ve been more than content to just spend the whole day there.

He jolted upright at the sound of the alpha's voice, tufts of snow and ice still hanging on his coat. "Huh, what?" he barked, shaking out his fur and showering the surrounding wolves. "Uh... sorry boss. We'll be back in not time, no problem, don't you worry!" he said, quickly regaining his composure. He bowed his head slightly, hoping Apache wasn't upset with him.
He wanted to do his job- whatever that entailed at the moment, and wasn't lazy by any means, but it's easy to get distracted when there's just so much to do! Between the snowflakes, saying hi to everyone and playing with the pups, it could be awfully hard for the young wolf to focus his attention in just one place. Speaking of the pups, he realized with a frown that he hadn't seen Elias that morning. "Hey, Apache, where'd Elias go? He's usually up by now, isn't he?" he asked, his normally cheerful expression turning to one of concern.

{ J a d e n }
{ female } - { four and a half years } - { beta }

------Jaden hadn't always been an early riser. From her time as a pup to young adult she had had the leisure of being able to wake up later in the day. But when she'd been banished from her small family pack, she started to learn that, as a loner, rising mid-day was not an option because she no longer had an entire group to support and protect her. She developed the habit of waking very early, before sunrise each morning, and hadn't really let go since. Despite her new home in Apache's pack.
------The she-wolf currently sat among the rocks in the center of the territory, letting the brisk winter winds run through her fur. She watched carefully as the alpha male started to speak to their pack's two kappas. Intrigued if he was asking them to go out to hunt, she stood up and shook the snow off her fur, then trotted down towards their location.
------She came up to the group and sat herself down next to Apache, giving a quick dip of the head to show her respects towards him. She'd entered the conversation just in time to hear omega, Phelan, asking about one of the missing pups. Jaden shifted between her paws, silently glancing at Apache to see if he was going to tell the truth or not.

    Azayla padded slowly to her Alpha, Apache. She dipped her head in respect very lightly then spoke to the large brute infront of her. "Is there anything you would need me to do or help you with Apache?" her voice was smooth like honey, and soft like silk. Azayla gave a soft smile as she looked at her Alpha before a strong wind blew her fur around.

{Female}{3 1/2}{Kappa}
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Abraham flinched a bit, as she felt the cold winter wind blow rappidly into her den. With a shiver, the large fae stood up and shook some dirt that had blown into her pelt off and stretched out, a slight yelp being let out as she leaned forwards to stretch her back legs out. Scanning the primes, Abraham yawned and flicked her tail upward, before trotting out of her den and inhaling the cool winter air. There wasn't much else to smell this time of year, since wolves' tracks were often covered up by the snow, and the scent of other prey and animals was also hidden. Luckily, though she was a kappa--and kappa's were often bred to do two things. Hunt, and smell. Kappas often needed great sense of smell, so even in the hardest of times to find prey, they would always manage to sniff at least a snow hare out. And also, Abraham considered herself and her 'partner in crime', Sewati to be quite good at their jobs.
The sound of her voice forced Abraham to shake all thoughts from her head. Normally, she would've ignored it but the voice that had called her was Apache, the alpha. And being the somewhat intelligent wolf she was, she knew to respect and listen to her alpha at all times. Sighing, she got up and started a quick, bouncy trot over to the group of wolves. Slowing to a walk, the fae bowed her head to show honor to the two betas, and her alpha. Calmly, she sat down and listened to her order, nodding her head obediently. As Sweati's name was called, she gave a quick glance toward the wolf before becoming attentive to the conversation at hand once more. Abraham was happy to hear Fee would be tagging along with them. That wolf always seemed to lighten her mood, unlike most of the other wolves in the pack. She wasn't one to talk to many of them, with the exception of the two betas, Sewati and of course the omega brute. The fae flicked her ears back, and focused on Apache now, wondering if he'd tell the truth about what really had happened to Elias.

((I'm almost done with Sinopa, and I'm working on Sewati's form. But I'll post with Sewati now.))

Sewati yawned, stretching out his legs. When he opened his mustard-yellow eyes, he nearly shut them again, for he was startled at the snow's brightness. "Darned snow," he muttered. "Nature's way of burning our eyes out when the sun's gone and freezing our paws off at the same time." Disgruntled, he got to his paws and shook himself off. Apparently, he had been covered in snow for much of his slumber, for when he shook, a great mass of the white powder flew off. His ears pricked up when he heard his own name being called, by none less than the Alpha himself. A hunting trip with Abraham and the Lambdas. Nothing new and unusual. He gave a sort of grunt when he heard the omega would be tagging along. Sewati didn't exactly approve of Fee's attitude. That wolf was just an overgrown pup. But then again, Fee IS the omega, he thought. That's just how omegas are. He trotted towards Abraham with a neutral expression on his face. "So, where exactly should we take them? There's snow everywhere, prey nowhere..." He then looked toward Apache. Perhaps he had some advice.

Temple
[ female ] [ lamba ] [ four and a half years ]

She had awoken earlier in the day, pulling herself from her den at the early rising of the sun. It wasn't unlike her to do what she had done this morning. Once she had risen she had gone on a stroll through the woods. Her paw prints left marks for only a minute before being covered up by a new layer. Her eyes were in the same motion of scanning, observing everything around her. The crisp white snow that could freeze any wolf's paws off if they weren't careful. The brown bark of the trees that showed years of standing and being abused by small claws. And the bare tree tops, leaves that had long since fallen due to the cold weather. It was all quite beautiful to the wolf, and she rejoiced in it. Especially the quiet in the early morning walk. It was relaxing, giving her a few moments to think through whatever filled her mind-which this day wasn't much. And that was new, for once she was just enjoying the silence that surrounded her. But she had duties to attend to with her pack and she wouldn't be one to neglect those.
Turning from where she bad been going she circled back around. She could have followed her paw prints had there been any still showing. Even without them she could still find her way back quite easily really. This was the normal route of which she took most mornings so she had it memorized even if she hadn't been here for the longest time. Only about half a year she supposed. And she didn't regret it, the wolves here treated her fairly. But she still questioned from time to time, mainly about the dreaded disease. Which had taken another victim in its greedy jaws this morning. It was truly a shame, the poor thing had had so much to live for. And then a disease that no one knew anything of, took him from his home.
As she approached closer she could hear Apache beginning to speak. She quickly picked her speed back up to a trot, arriving in time to hear him talk about the hunt. Her ears perked up with the prospect of it. She liked to hunt, it was a good pass time and kept her put to use and working. She looked over at Sewati as he spoke. "Do you doubt the talent of the lambas and kappas? We're good hunters. And wherever there are good hunters there is prey so long as you look." She said calmly, and while it may seem disrespectful towards the Kappa it didn't necessarily bother her. She had a tendency to ask questions that shouldn't be asked, then follow them up with some wise sort of thing as she had only just done. To show she did not mean disrespect towards Sewati she dipped her head slightly before raising it back up again.

    [ OOC: wallflower., accepted. Tran&Blue, once your finish your character form you will be accepted as well :> ]

    I listen as the wolves discuss the probability of prey this winter. As one of the lambdas, Temple, speaks up in defense of the kappas and fellow lambdas, I feel a rush of pride for my pack. This pack is strong, I think to myself. We will survive, we will weather whatever storm the world throws at us.

    My thoughts are shattered when I hear the voice of the young omega questioning about the lost pup, Elias. Before I can decide how to answer, I notice that just about every wolf is staring at me, expecting the truth.
    "Elias's fate is currently unknown," I start, choosing my words carefully as to break the news as gently as I can, without assuming the pup's death. "I will not lie to my pack. I believe he has been taken by the plague that has taken others of our pack before." My eyes shifted to my trusted beta, Jaden, for support. Ever since she had joined our pack, I have sensed such a loyalty and determination to rebuild the pack that is unmatched by any other's. I immediately liked this she-wolf because of this undying willingness to help the pack.

    "I would like to send out search parties immediately. I will lead, as I feel that it is my duty to ensure the protection of even our youngest pack member." I lowered my head at these words, as to not let the other wolves see the blizzard in my eyes. Though I did mean my words, a darker truth lies beneath what any alpha would say to reassure his pack. I raise my head to meet the stormy-gray eyes of the brute Kenji. "Kenji. I would like to entrust the camp in your watch while I am gone. And Jaden," I swing my gaze to the light-furred femme again, "Will you accompany me in the search for Elias? I'd like Krul and Silus to come as well. We could use a few warriors among us. We will set out at once; we owe it to Elias to save him as soon as possible if we can."

    Image

    Oh no, I've slept in again! I leap to my paws with some sort of an urgent grace, quickly stretching out each leg in turn. Without bothering to clean the tufts of dirt that cling to my light pelt, I bound forward to join the rest of the pack.

    "What's going on?" I whisper to Abraham as I silently drop my haunches beside the kappa. I swivel my ears around to hear the somber voice of Apache, but that was nothing new. That brute always seems to be out of sorts, I think. Oh, hush, Elwing — he's your alpha! I shake the snow out of my whiskers, secretly hoping to shake some of the nonsense out of my head as well. Focusing back on reality, I notice the dark expressions of some of my packmates' faces. This wasn't the everyday hunger and despair brought on by winter; this was something more. Something is terribly wrong.

I'm not afraid...
it is all just a d r e a m ~
or a n i g h t m a r e -

    ;;eight;;brute;;gamma;;the pack;;

Already for as long as Rohan could remember, the wolf never slept anymore around sunrise. He always woke up, in the middle of the night, in the darkness, and couldn't get back to sleep anymore. So that was how he started the day. The birds were still asleep, the forest still in a world that wasn't the real one, while the old gamma already strolled the woods, in his calm, never hurried pace. He would wander a big distance away from the territory, until he wouldn't feel comfortable anymore, and then he would turn around and go back. Daily routine. When the elder brute came back, and got close to the territory, he felt a strange tension hanging in the air. Rohan frowned, quickening his pace, and soon got in the middle of the camp, where all wolves had gathered.
Apache was the wolf that had the most striking expression on his face. Rohan hadn't heared the question that was asked by that young omega, whose name he couldn't remember, but the answer that Apache gave the pack, as they were all listening, was more than just disturbing. Elias's fate unknown... Plague... The traditional relaxation that his morning walk brought him faded away fully, and Rohan got serious at instance.

"Apache, if I may? Wouldn't it be... wise to find a way to prevent the other wolves in the pack from getting this horrifying disease as well? I would be glad to offer my help, and we could use Azayla's knowledge as well - maybe there is a cure for it." The elder frowned, his eyes resting upon every young, intelligent wolf in the pack that wasn't supposed to go hunting, or join the search, and his wise, old eyes saw through them immediately. "I am sure that there will be other younger members than just me who would want to help us - the protection of the pack is of great importance, and we all know that." Rohan spoke softly and slow, but he was very sure that Apache would know the gamma was right.

{ J a d e n }
{ female } - { four and a half years } - { beta }

--------As more of the pack members continued to flood in to the group, Jaden carefully watched the looks on their faces. She ran her tongue along her teeth, and watched Apache's unchanging expression as he carefully explained to the pack what the situation with Elias. She caught his eye for a minute, nodding in support of his words to the rest of the pack, and then hinted a sincere smile in addition. The fae listened to her alpha announce a search party for the young member - a group to be composed of her, Krul, Silus, and Apache himself.
--------She watched the alpha with soft eyes, it was evident he very much wished for the safety of the pup. "I'd be welcome to accompanying you and the other members to go find Elias," she started, "I'd hate to allow the poor young thing to suffer because we made the decision he wasn't important enough to be saved." Jaden had a soft, motherly spot for the young members, she didn't enjoy that something with so much potential could be harmed so easily.
--------She then turned her attention towards their gamma, Rohan, listening to his advice.
