Shadow's ears perked seeing Xeno in the distance. She meowed to him, and climbed out of the box.

Xeno turned around as he herd a faint mew, he flicked an ear as he saw Sasha, he waved his tail in a greeting and he had his prey in his jaws.

Shadow smiled at Xeno, and climbed up onto a roof, and hopped from house to house over to him. "Went hunting?"

Xeno purred and nodded, he set the thrush down, "Would you like to share?..." he meowed his smber eyes glowing in the setting light.

"Well, I actually just ate... But I'll have a little. It looks good!" Shadow nodded to Xeno, and took a bite.

Xeno smiled as he sat down on the roof, his gaze looked at the town before them. He huffed a sigh as a cloud escaped his lips, he fluffed out his fur, he saw different coloured lights laid across the two-leg homes, "Why do two-legs put up these lights all the time at his time of year?..." he meowed looking at the houses.

Shadow gave a half smile, and lay next to him. "It's Christmas time. When I had owners, they called it 'Christmas'. They put up a tree.. Had jolly... Happy... Times..." Shadow paused, and her smile faded. She closed her eyes tightly, not wanting to think of the memories.

Xeno muttered, "Christmas...", he looked down at Shadow as he felt a wave of guilt, "Sorry shadow...I didn't mean to bring back any memories..." he layed down next to her as his eyes softened, a small idea popped in his head, "Hmm...." he casted his glance towards the town once more.

Shadow opened her eyes up quickly, and shook her head. "No, no- It's okay... I just gotta move on. I gotta be happy that I have some friends... Cats who care about me." Shadow forced a smiled, and swayed her tail. She gazed into his eyes.

As Neferiti finished off the rat she had caught,she felt like she was being watched.she sat and began cleaning her fur.She had fluffed and shook out her fur and began walking down the sidewalk where she saw the many colored lights that were on the homes of the humans. During this time of year the humans were actually kinda nice sometimes.A little human saw her and called out to her. "Here kit kit" Neferiti meowed in response and rubbed against the leg of the little human,she smelled sweet.As she rubbed Neferiti,Neferiti purred making the little human laugh.She then bound awa as another human called out.

Neferiti was happy she just wishe she had someone else to be with.she made her back to the church and laid in the window with her head on her paws as she Saw humans pass and she swished her tail back and forth.
