Hana ✿
Saf
Huntress
Adult
In camp
Caleb, Snowface, Dakota,
Clayton, Aimee, Keegan,
Langley

Hana watched as pack members started to emerge into the camp. She noticed Clay as he left his den, which was right next to hers, out of the corner of her eye. She knew his name was Clayton, but she had always called him Clay. Grayfell and she had grown up with him, along with Flynn. She had started calling him Clay from the very beginning because Clayton sounded too sophisticated for a puppy. Of course, he wasn't a puppy anymore, but habits were hard to break. She liked Clay better anyway. It reminded her of the earth and everything natural, which was something that she loved. Her own name gave her the same feeling, as it was relevant to flowers.

Her ears perked as she heard Dakota, another wolf she had grown up with, say something to Caleb about hunting. Good! Hana was itching to do something. Soon after, she heard the quiet voice of the pack healer ask for an escort. Hana rose to her paws. Hunting was her job, but it would take a little bit for the hunters to gather. They probably wouldn't need her anyway. As she started to walk in Aimee's direction, Langley beat her to it. Oh well. Hana turned and went to stand by Dakota and Caleb. "I'll come with you of course," Hana spoke to Dakota, "And if none of the other hunters are up to it, I think some of the fighters might could come along, if you want." Hana's eyes flicked around the camp, seeing who was available to hunt. Caleb, Dakota, herself, Clayton, Keegan, and Snowface. Possibly Perdita and Arya if they wake.

((Oh, yakamoz, I think you forgot to add my characters to the front :3 ))

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

I am her eyes. She is my wings. I am her voice. She is my spirit. I am her human. She is my horse.

Medieval
Gaddar
Alpha Brute
Medieval kept his gaze on Fey as she went to fetch one of his Hunters, not bothering to answer Bronnwen's question. He slowly shifted his gaze back to Flynn, a challenge sparking in his eyes before he looked away. As he opened his mouth to smell the air, the slightest hint of frost formed in the back of his throat, freezing his mouth, yet he did not show it. Impatience bubbled inside of him, he muscles taunt and ready, about to snap out at whoever would happen to be the nearest. He made sure his irritation was shown on his face, hoping to hurry up the process of waking up his Pack. Out of the corner of his eye he saw their Healer, Keiler, approach Fey, and a small growl escaped his throat.

Whipping around, he glared at Bronnwen's retreating silhouette, a threat arousing from the back of his throat. You be careful, Bronnwen. He snarled at her back, his teeth back and muscles taunt. His eyes gleamed with fury, and he bunched up his muscles, ready to leap towards the Fae and teach her a lesson. Changing his mind, he lashed out to the left and grazed Geryfell's shoulder with his teeth, pulling his head back with only a few tufts of fur in his mouth. Spitting them out, he gave an unsatisfied snort as he realized he hadn't punctured the brute's skin. That should teach him to address him properly. If you're done with your unacceptable behaviour, you'll go wake up the Hunters. He glared at the Fighter dominantly. I'm hoping to take back at least more than one deer today. His order came out more as a challenge than anything, and he hoped it was a challenge his Pack could take.

dear perdita,

don't believe in the lies.

from,

anonymous.

-----i blinked open my eyes apprehensivly, knowing they'd be greeted by a mass brand of light that no other light could measure up to. i hated dawn, simply because of this reason. it had no regards for your lack of sleep nor for the dreams you were currently having. i preferred the night, where everyone went off amongst themselves. in the dark, you cannot see anyone's facial expressions, see none of them at all. you dont have to see their eyes and all they hold in them. you know you dont want to look through those open doors, see all the troubles they've gone through. you dont want to look at their pelt, seeing all the burdens that latched themselves apon the small strands of fur. you dont want to see the pained face, the mouth pressed into what appears to be a permanent frown, or a sly grin that highlights treatury and wrong ways. you dont want to see any of that, do you? thats why in the dead of the night when you hear something out of place, you duck your head under the blanket, or shut your eyes because you dont want to see any evil. you close the books filled with the monsters, devils, and demons and put it back on the shelf so you dont have to face them. that is why i love the night. the sun just lets all of it in.

-----with a swift yawn, i stretched out my frontal paws before me, aiming for at least a nail to scratch a small stone about a foot infront of me. my short legs didnt reach far enough, and ignoring my humiliation, inspite being the only one in the den, climbed to my paws and gave my blueish grey and brown fur a quick shake. a faint cloud of dust escaped from my pelt and i happily lapped my tongue down my sides to smooth the fur back over my skin. i shielded my eyes by closing them as i left the den. it took a while for my eyes to adjust to the sun's lighting, but sure enough they did. i cast my eyes over the forest clearing where all the saf wolves made their home. all were amongst one another, chattering in ways that almost seemed as easy as breathing. i didnt prefer the company of others, especially during the hunt. i always found myself not fixiated on the prey of choice, but yet where my pack was so i wasnt to get in their way. it was a strange thing yes, but it was as normal to me as a wolf howling.

-----i cut through the tree line just behind my den so the other saf members didnt see me. they could go hunting as a group; i didnt mind being the odd one out. i preferred hares to elk anyways. my movements were swift, slow and cautious. they way i progressed myself portrayed exactly who i was inside. i was thankful fort his. that way there was no confusion. i swept and swerved through the trees and bushes, the only time my paws ever leaving the damp forest floor was when i was to leap over uprooted tree roots. i didnt let my eyes or nose guide me; no, i left that up to my ears. they lead me quicker to the small stream that ran through saf territory quicker than any other sense would have, even combined. in fact, if i had to choose one sense to have and one sense only, i would choose hearing. to not hear the owl's hoot overhead, the crickets sing at dusk, the tricking of the stream, the rustling of the leaves, your own pawsteps on the ground... music? all gone? i dont think so. the world was an ugly place, but they say the ugliest have the prettiest voices.

-----i wandered through the brush, feeling damp soil turn to small sandy pebbles in an instant. their coloration matched my pelt shade, and i swere, if i had to lay down right this moment to hide from oncoming danger im sure no wolf of predator would catch a single sight of me. and i was willing to bet my hearing on it. i sat my rump down a couple til lengths from the cool water after letting it trickle down m throat after a few laps. it woke me up, the light splashes dappling the tips of my fur. i had to dmit, though i loved the night, the sun's rays did feel good warming my body. and for dawn, the sun felt as bright and warm as ever. so inviting and so decieving. i mustn't believe the lies.

{Okay. If she doesn't respond by tomorrow, Medieval will probably just leave without her and wake up someone else.}

      bronnwen - fighter - gaddar - with a lot of other wolves
      Even though she wasn't going to raise a white flag now already, Bronn knew she'd made the wrong choice, and a very, very big mistake when she heared the Alpha's brutal voice. Damn this. She shrunk an invisibly little bit, and took a quick, nonchalant glance back at the snarling, lips-in-the-air little boy whom she, if he wouldn't have been her leader, had easily taught a lesson about talking to her. A lesson which would most probably include some bloodshed - from his side. But, because he would probably be much stronger than she was - being a male, and she a female and much less trained - she couldn't, and she wouldn't.
      Even though she was most likely going to shut up and leave, a thought came up in her head. You can have 'em. You can have them all. Isn't that what you've always wanted, being Alpha? No, Bronnwen shook her head figuratively. She couldn't. It would most probably be the end of the story. Leading the pack, reigning as a feared and loved Queen... Doesn't that appeal to you, Bronnwen? Isn't that what you've always wanted? The words, never spoken by him but remarkably spoken by him now were marked by her father's voice, emphasizing her black-sheep-ness and her disability of being a part of any pack or any family.

      That drove her mad.
      Mirroring her alpha's face, Bronnwen pulled up her lips, exposing her fairly long teeth. The white ivory-coloured fangs glimmered in the sunlight, but it wasn't beautiful. Every vein in her body now pulsed hatred and anger around instead of blood. This Alpha, the one who was supposed to lead the pack fairly, had never looked more like her father, the one who had always been disappointed with her, who could never provide her a home and attention, love. Or was it the other way around, did her father look like this brute? She didn't knew, but it didn't matter. A loud snarl arose from her throath, her ears flat in her neck. "What, I should be careful? I dare you talk to me like that. You're not my leader. Nobody's my leader. All of you are just downies, pathetic losers. I don't care if you are my Alpha, but I've had enough of this. Good afternoon." She growled once more, then continued her path but in a much higher tempo.

      { Bronnwen wasn't added to the front page yet c; }

{I'm going to use Royale now. I'll wait for someone else to reply to Medieval before replying.}

Royale
Gaddar
Female Fighter
Commotion outside the den awoke Royale from her slumber. She could distinctly hear Medieval's voice, with who also happens to be Bronnwen. Fear flashed through Royale as she pushed herself onto her paws and slunk out of her den, crouched low to the ground so she wasn't seen. She'd slept in. She'd be lucky if Medieval didn't have her head for it. Pinning her ears, she pulled herself forward and went to stand beside Flynn, dipping her head to the Beta in fear of what Medieval would do. Taking a deep breath, she sat back on her haunches and watched her brother, although she had no idea he was related to her.

Sinking to the ground, she looked up at him with her amber eyes and submissively tucked her tail, tilting her head to the side. Good morning, Alpha. she barked shakily, her voice wavering as she waited for him to snap at her. But he didn't. He barely gave her a glance before focusing his eyes back on Bronnwen, something beyond fury buried deep inside his eyes. A small whimper escaped Royale's mouth, and she froze, terrified. As she realized Medieval didn't hear, she slowly pulled herself away and hurried to the edges of camp, watching from the brambles and the bushes.

--langley-male-saf-single--
His eyes glowed warmly as the fae touched his side, and he pressed back affectionately, his tail thumping a little. Oh, little dove, you're going to spoil me. He savored the gentle moment for a few fleeting seconds before following her, his gait quickening to a short trot. His lithe form was about as thin as hers, as he walked alongside her, though he was taller and lankier. He was of much less bulk than most of the other males. He held himself with the same confidence, though, with enough stride to take on the world, it seemed. The trail they set off on was not unfamiliar to Langley; he had passed the same place when he had first stumbled upon the pack. His eyes flickered grimly at the memory, and the memories leading up to it; it was still fresh in his mind.
It seemed to be only weeks ago that it had all taken place. He could never find the time to express his gratitude to the alpha for letting him stay in their pack; if he had wandered long enough, his condition may have worsened from harsh exposures of the wide open planes, or he could have stumbled on the enemy pack, the fearsome Gaddar, and been slain. By this, he chided himself in his thoughts, he did not mean that Saf was less of a band of warriors than Gaddar was. Oh, no. The tension between the two was strong, not only for their rivalry, but for the equal strengths of the packs clashing together. There was no "We're better than you." It was a game of luck, Langley thought secretly, blinking. A ruthless, violent game of luck.
He kept following the healer, glancing down curiously at the texture of the pathway. It was smooth, like the stripped body of an elm or oak; rough patches of greenery or stones had been long sanded away by time, and a certain fae walking down it to search for herbs. He took it as quite impressive, decidedly so, and smiled to himself a little.
"Could I be of any help, perhaps?~" He piped up finally, padding up to her side again as he had begun to fall behind, lost in his musings. "Are you looking for anything specific?"

Aimée ; healer ; fae ; saf ; single.

She walked silently with Langely, her pelt near his. Soon though, the two reached the end of the path that Aimée had memorized, and the trail broke off into several smaller trails. The other trails were barely visible, as the grass still waved its hellos and goodbyes as the healer took to her left before hearing her company's question. "Holly, poppy, ginger, aloe, and mint. However, if you see a small green plant with orange thorns," she said sweetly, her voice smooth like a newborn pup's coat, "I would love some of that. It has no scent, it's hard for me to find."

Raising her head to the sky she breathed in, her obsidian nose collecting more scents than most wolves. She could smell the bitter lure of poppy. She took a few steps and found it, waving her tail to her poetic companion. Pressing her nose to a seed pod, it exploded. Carefully, Aimée gathered the eight seeds from the pod, storing them in her mouth. "Please don't swallow them," she said louder than her normal voice with a tang of worry caking it. "But they are safe in your mouth." Giving her warning, Aimée popped another seed pod, and as careful as a first time mother grooming her pups, collected the bounty.
