Kadi nodded to Koda, now looking down a trail well-lit by the rising sun. She stretched her legs out again then turned and started down the path. "Alright, c'mon," she barked, ears alert for any noise. Kadi looked to the sides, occasionally straying from the trail and having a closer look at a pile of leaves. She walked back to the path and continued walking at Koda's side, a soft smile on her face. The common breezes ruffled her fur, and the fae shook her coat out a few seconds after.

Tiago looked at Ella. Personally, he looked up to the hunters with respect. They not only had to track down food that would feed the entire pack, they had to catch it too. As a warrior, all you had to do was ask a high-ranking canine where the threats were at, and you had to keep them from hurting the pack. In some cases, it could be hard, but still, the hunters had more work that the warriors, in Tiago's point of view. "Yeah, sure." he stated, then lied down and crossed his paws.

Koda-

Koda walked along side Kadi and felt the breeze shift his fur and he shook his fur in unison with Kadi. "Want to head down to the river?" Koda asked, tilting his head. "I've got some mud on my paws that just won't come out," Koda lifted his front left paw for effect and then had a mischievous idea. As Kadi leaned down to get a better look he gently bopped her muzzle, leave a slight outline of a paw with mud there. He wagged his tail, hoping his playful mood wasn't offending her.

Ella-

Ella nodded at Tiago, and not wanting to appear rude by just walking away from him, she cleared her throat. The wind blew through the small clearing they were in and she lifted her nose to catch it, considering what shoe would do next. "Well," she said. "I'm going out and get a hare for now. You want another one?" She waited for his response and then stretched, preparing her muscles for a breif jog out into the deeper woods.

"Sure, we can go to the river," Kadi said, looking at Koda. She started towards the river, when he put the mud on her muzzle. Kadi narrowed her eyes playfully and put her paws on Koda's shoulder, pushing him gently. "How 'bout them apples?" she teased, grinning slightly. Kadi lowered her head and took a quick drink, then washed the mud off.

Tiago looked at Ella and nodded briefly. After about a few seconds of thinking, he stood up and pulled the rest of the hare from the tree and tossed it towards her. "There. It's not much, but it's food," he said, flicking his ears. He turned and dipped his head to her as a good-bye and trotted to the field. The tall grass brushed against Tiago's brown and white coat as he walked through it. He sat down on the top of a small hill and looked around.

Koda-

Koda smirked lightly at her statement and looked across the water. It was bright, but clear and he dipped his front paws in it, testing the temperature. Once he realized it was only mildly chilly, he fully immersed himself until he felt the slight tug of the river and he backed up to the shore a few steps. His fur was freezing, but Koda felt more than alive and he stood there wishing his mate was there. Feeling a pang of sadness, Koda huffed to himself and climbed back up on the shore with Kadi.

Ella-

Ella gratefully ate the remaining but then headed back out into the woods. She was craving something more fresh and had the urge to chase a deer and feel the thrill if the hunt in her blood. She licked her chops and Ella then headed away from camp so she could have a successful hunt.

Kadi lifted her head and sighed quietly, looking at the path once again. She motioned with her head for Koda to come. In a few seconds, Kadi was once again on the trail and fully alert. She tilted her head back and pointed her nose in the air, making sure she didn't smell anything that could serve as a threat. Kadi looked back and slowed down for Koda.

Tiago returned to camp, then shook his fur free of pieces of grass. He stood for a moment and saw that everyone was out doing something. With a silent shake of his head, Tiago turned and trotted to the stream, which was a smaller version of the river, and on he opposite side of camp and through a heavy part of the forest. He absent mindedly began walking along the stream, the water occasionally hitting a rock and splashing his ankles.

After a few minutes of walking, Tiago's legs were growing tired and he turned around. With one last scan of his surroundings, the brute started on his way to camp. When he arrived, Tiago lied down next to an old log that he had usually relaxed near. He leaned against it, and set his head on the log to look over it.

Koda-

Koda caught up with Kadi after he shook himself dry and then perked up his ears, listening for sounds of distress or anything to cause alarm. They trotted down the dirt path that was well-trodden and Koda paused a moment as he heard sounds coming from his left. "Wait, listen." As he listened more, Koda heard a what sounded like a large animal moving around while making a racket. As he listened a bit more, he growled slightly as he realized what it was.
Koda's fur rose and he lowered his head instinctively as he turned towards the noise, standing closer to Kadi and backing slightly away from the creature. He didn't really fear it or was angered by it more than the fact that it just simply set him on edge. This creature was in their territory, their land. It was lumbering about and it irritated him even more that it would be this far in the territory without the pack knowing about it. "Kadi," Koda breathed, his head tilting slightly in her direction. "Badger."



Ella-

Ella plunged deeper into the undergrowth as she felt the slightly stiff plants pressing lightly against her fur and she lowered her nose. She scouted some well known hare-trails and smiled to herself as she found a fresh scent. A full deer for a meal would have to wait until she and Tiago were out hunting at dusk. The hare though, was a male, and a large one gauging by it's scent trail. Lowering herself to the ground in a fashion somewhat reminiscent of a herding dog, Ella looked through the underbrush and as it's head turned a fraction of a degree away from her, she leaped out of her cover and cleanly killed it.
As she finished it off, Ella listened to the birds and licked her chops. She'd have to go get another one to make up for the one Tiago had given her.

Kadi whirled around when Koda went on high alert. His bristled fur gave her the hint that something was wrong. Then she smelled it. A badger. Those nasty creatures could do damage. She took a daring step forward, and saw it was a honey badger. Kadi flattened her ears and pulled her lips back into a snarl, eyes narrowed to slits. The fur on her back and neck bristled. Kadi always hated badgers. These were the type of creatures that gave her some of the scars she has today. She looked over at Koda then stalked forward again. The badger hissed and showed its sharp teeth. Kadi flicked an ear then flattened it against her head again. She barked at the badger, warning it to leave before she had to do anything else to make it go.

Tiago groaned lazily and rolled onto his side, sprawling his legs and letting out a bored huff. The brute closed his eyes and began to doze off, until he heard something. A crow was flying overhead. Darn bird... Tiago grumbled, rolling back onto his stomach. With another groan, he stood up and shook his coat. Pieces of plants clung to his fur. Tiago twisted his ears in each direction, until one pointed directly behind him. He spun around with his ears pinned back and nose twitching. Tiago saw it was only a garter snake slithering between the leaves that made them rustle. He sighed and walked over the log, slowly lowering himself into a sitting position.

Koda-

As Kadi gave the badger a warning bark, Koda watched the badger react. It snarled at the two dogs, but he could see that it was sizing them up. It's gaze flitted between the two dogs and then it dropped it's gaze to the ground and it started to shuffle backwards. "What now?" Koda asked his alpha. He kept his gaze trained on the badger but let his ear angle towards Kadi.

Ella-

Ella quickly tracked down and hare and then made her way to camp. She threw it up on a low branch and then swiveled her ears around camp. She heard a sigh and looked over to Tiago who was sitting against the log. He looked bored, and Ella could sympathize with him, so was she. "Hey Tiago," Ella said as she approached the brute. He lifted his head and she wagged her tail.

Kadi watched as the honey badger lumbered into the woods. The fae perked her ears again and lifted her head, her fur flattening to its normal place. She turned and looked at Koda. "Well, we could finish our patrol, or we could head back to camp and find something to eat," she barked. She flicked an ear then looked down at her paws.

Tiago looked up and wached a few more birds pass overhead. He grumbled quietly then perked his ears when Ella approached. He stood up nd shook his dirtied coat. "Hi Ella. I see you caught yourself a hare. Are you still up for the hunt once it gets dark?" he asked, head slightly tilted. The brute twitched his nose and looked to his side, seeing a mouse jump around in the leaves, then disappear altogether.
