Jumps onto father's back and watches loner. Beginning to get bored, nibbles his ear. Eventually jumps down and takes a couple steps forward. Spots a dead mouse and springs onto it, throws it in air, catches and shakes head, growling

I stare at the wolf then look towards Father. "Why?" I ask, not understanding. "Why can't that wolf stay for a while?"

Goes to father, drops a rather scuffed mouse on front of and sits down and wags tail, looking proud

I take another step closer to the strange wolf, "who are you...?" I ask

Turns, stands beside sister, and looks at stranger. Inches forward until is standing right next to, tail and head held high
