Neil
Neil awoke with a jolt. Despite feeling as though he had rammed himself into a brick wall at full velocity, the lithe male took little more than a moment of hesitation before leaping to his paws, his head whipping from side to side as he tried to determine his location. Weak snarls erupted from his throat as he examined his surroundings. Upon discovering that nothing hostile was in sight Neil let his body collapse back into the pile of leaves at his paws. His primary senses slowly ebbing back into their usual form. Blobs and shapes began to take the form of trees as the smell of the maple leaves he had taken rest to granted him their scent. The constant sharp pangs in his head subsided into a dull throb as the day trudged on. It may have been hours, maybe minutes -he couldn't tell- before Neil got back up, a low whimper escaping his throat. The guard hairs along his spine prickled at the smallest rustle or snap, yet he refused to move.. or rather, was to afraid to move. Still he held his place, his body pressed lightly against the ground causing a disturbance in the leaves and small foliage below.
