Female - Adult - Silver fox - No mate

Feeling her paws hit the cold, soft, white snow, the female fox bolted as fast as she could, cans following her as she ran. Her hind leg got caught in a hunters trap. She panted and looked behind her a lot, and soon stopped quickly and gnawed at the string with her molars. Hearing a snap, she bolted again, the sound of the cans was not there anymore. Her black pelt was seen easily in the white wood and she dived into her den and went to the back panting and hiding cowardly. She never acted like this but this was serious.

Amicia stared at her surroundings, bewildered. This place wasn't like where she used to live. Yet, it still mystified her... She decided to explore; at least that way she could get a sense of where she was. She plodded nervously through the snow, then looked up of the sky, which was coated in fluffy grey clouds that reminded her of a kit's fur. She knew what this kind of cloud cover meant, though: It was going to snow soon, and she would need shelter before long.

Lynn ran through the soft, fluffy snow, though it wasn't a very thick layer. She longed for her old territory, but this one seemed like something of a paradise, and she knew she could adapt to it. At least until the ice thaws. She remembered the moment where she'd realized that she was trapped, when she'd scraped helplessly at the fallen ice that blocked her exit. She sighed, then flicked her ears up as she caught a strange scent.

It was almost like water, but salty. It smelled strongly of fish, and she headed towards it, curious. The small arctic fox finally spotted the source: a large, long body of water that seemingly spread out forever. Its waves lapped gently against the shore, but they emitted a loud roaring noise as they rolled in continuously. Lynn liked this place right away; it was so relaxing, almost like a dream.

Heather scanned her surroundings, blanketed by the shadow made by the thick trees she stood under. This land looked very different to her, and she quickly darted into a seemingly large cave to shelter for the night.

Lynn sighed and sat down on the shore, wondering where she could stay for the night. My best bet is probably to go back to the forest, she thought. There could be some shelter there... Maybe some low trees or brambles to sleep under... She lashed her tail frustratedly, kicking up wet sand into the air. She didn't want to leave the beach. Reluctantly she set out again, towards the edge of the forest. The sun was still fairly high in the sky, giving them at least a few more hours of sunlight. She blinked and froze as she spotted a large, dark figure in the distance.

Lynn knew that grizzly bears inhabited the area; she'd been told a few tales about them by her mother. But she had never encountered one before. She backed away, knowing she would be hard to spot from this distance in the bright white snow. She kept her body low to the ground, stalking towards the forest as quickly as she could. Eventually she reached a spot where she was sure the undergrowth would hide her and sat down, glancing around nervously.
