- After looking over Ever's face I turned to Rowan, looking at his gaze focused on Ever. After his reply I answered "I did also, thank you." It was nice to have a partially thoughtful leader. Not a brutal wolf that didn't care for his pack as long as it was considerably large and half-way alive. I hand't lied, I'd slept dreamless and awoke in the same position as I was falling asleep, but something could have been better. Maybe a pile of leaves to cushion me because, even though I know our breed shouldn't have trouble with being on the floor, I liked feeling like I was laying on clouds. A wind blew in from the north, chilling me like the cold water from earlier. A shiver crawled down my spine, making my coat shake a little. I tried to read Ever's mind with no luck - of course - but her face could tell me so much already; she was happy to talk to Rowan and by the looks of his eyes he was as well.
