Jake smiled at her, "it's nice having a friend here finally. He sat and looked at her with caring eyes. He shook out his handsome coat and wagged his tail.

Luke watched her eat and stepped closer. He nuzzled her gently, "that's a wonderful name, jewel." he chuckled, looking at her happily.

Purdy smiled faintly, glad to find someone to talk to. This terrible day was starting to turn around. Purdy's stomach growled again.

Jewel blushed, "Why Thankyou!" She nuzzled him back, "Should we go found a drink?

Jake watched her, "you hungry? I steal meat from the butcher" he smiled and ran off. He came back ten minutes later with a steak and a chicken. "wanna share?"

Luke smiled, glad his flirting was still good. He nodded quickly as he ate two sausages. He looked at her. "lead the way"

Jewel grinned at Luke, She turned around and ran back up the street, toward the lake near the edge of the town, She skidded to a halt and walked to the edge. She waited for Luke and then when he caught up she bent down for a cool drink

"As long as you don't mind..." Purdy said tentatively, trotting up to sit next to Jake.

[Taisi]

Jake licked her ear, "I don't mind." he smiled and took a note of steak.

Luke padded after jewel and watched her run. When he caught up to her, he quickly bent down for a drink. "I haven't had a nice drink all week."

Purdy giggled, feeling her face blush. She took a bit out of the chicken and closed her eyes in delight.

Jewel smiled at Luke, She dropped to her belly and put her head on her paws, As she fell asleep she dreamt about being in a wide open field with other dogs and food everywhere
