He chuckled, his smile growing a little, and nodded. "Yeah, well camp was getting boring." His tail gave a small wag, happy he found somebody else that didn't mind admitting they explored too. David pawed the ground, something he did when he got excited. He really hated the habit, but he honestly could stop. It was like his body had a bunch of built up energy that just needed to escape, so he moved his pawed around. He annoyed himself...

She nodded in understanding, splaying her ears to the sides of her head.
"I see. Well, it's good meeting you... ah... Darkest Knight...?" She tested his name just make sure she'd heard it properly and simply for future references. "I won't keep you any longer then, seeing as we both have things to be getting on with and all."

For a moment Hugo was startled, feeling the weight shift so suddenly from his back. Even more so when he realised his patient was now on the ground again. He clicked his teeth in a moment of slight annoyance, wondering what had happened. The camp wasn't far off now, maybe another two hundred yards, give or take.
"You can repay me by doing as you're told," He spoke firmly yet gently. "Chances are, you have a concussion and the bleeding needs to be stemmed, so you're coming with me to my den for treatment." Hugo wasn't certain if she really was capable of walking but if she was, so be it. He'd stick close to offer his assistance. "Tell me, is it often you ram into objects? Since we've met the tree was the second thing you happened into it, you know."

Louella

Ella blushed when he tried to sound stern to her. She bit her lip slightly, in confusion of what to say. She lightly pawed at the soft dirt around her, filling her nails with itty bitty grass sprouts & mud. She looked ahead, toward camp, & noticed it was dusk. She looked back toward Hugo.

" 'Doing as I'm told?' Oooh, trying to be superior, are we? I think I can do what I want,"

Ella laughed quietly & thought she was done playing around with him.

" Oh, coming to your den? That works, thank you. Actually, I am known to be very clumsy, and known to run into things. I sure know how to make a good first impression, huh?"

She smirked at him, and attempted to walk. She took a few steps, haunches uneven, and shaking quite a bit, but she managed to walk.

"Come on, slowpoke. Don't take too long, Hug."

I just called him Hug..hope he doesn't find that weird. Hahah, I'm so awkward..

Lafayette

Lafayette giggled, her black paws dancing lightly in place. "It is, plus any time that I can slip away from my brother's stern gaze is the best." She loved her brother and enjoyed being beside him, but sometimes he was just too strict for her taste. Lafayette knew very well that she was acting quite like a pup. She didn't care, though. Bouncing slightly from one spot to another, Lafayette watched the brute, her tail wagging slightly. "I'm Lafayette, by the way. Please call me Lafy, though."

Burning Ember laughed a little less but he still smirked in amusement."It's not my fault that you fell into the river." he looked away to hide his laugh. The brute then backed up and jumped into the river. Getting Royal even more wet then she was before "Sorry..." he laughed a little.

Hugo's face remained solemn, not an ounce of humour noticeable on the surface.
"I'm being serious." He told her after her inital response. He began moving off towards the dens, keeping a viligant eye on Louella whilst he remained just slightly behind at her flank. His head was down and forward as he walked, taking note of any further injuries or effects of the damage. He was too caught up in thought to notice much else of what she said. Hugo murmured words to himself, recalling what kind of herbs and such he would need for this particular type of accident. She seemed alert enough so perhaps it was simply a scratch on the head rather than trauma, which would make his job a great deal easier.

Louella

Ella would look back every so often whenever she heard him talking to himself. She kept a steady pace, but when her paw got a thorn stuck in it, she stopped & sat down. She leaned over to her back leg, lowered her head, unlatched her mouth & pulled it out, causing her to squeal in a brief moment of pain. She got up, and started walking again, slightly limping on the back leg, making her look funny. It was when Ella got within a few yards of camp; her thoughts took over.

What herbs does Hugo have in mind? Will I be safe in his den? Does he have a mate who sleeps with him? Will I spend the night in his den? I feel like I can trust him..

Once Ella & Hugo got to camp, her head began to throb, and she started walking in a zig-zag motion, but to her it felt like she was walking in a straight line. But, she wasn't, and that wasn't good.

Winter

Winter headed back toward camp, staying just a few feet behind her so he could scan the forest to see if anything was going to jump out. They stayed like this for about a half an hour. Once they reached camp, Winter had a thought..

"Hey, do you want to spend the night in my den tonight? It'll be colder, not that the sun sets earlier. And you might need some warmth, if you want,"

Choosing not to fuss over her too greatly, at least not until they were within his privately grounded den, Hugo was glad when they were at camp. He'd thought it through and had decided on what herbs would be best. There was a tree that grew outside of his den. Depending on the seasons as well as what plants he decided to try to cultivate and nurture, different herbs grew in very small quantities as a sort of 'last resort emergency stock'. At the moment, marigold and a clump of stinging nettles grew.
He noticed Louella's weaving motions so set to correct her. He trotted to her side, nudging her shoulder with the dome of his head to direct her whilst speaking with a low, calm tone.
"Come on, now. Easy does it, easy does it. The den's just over there, past that beech tree. Take your time."
