Janis followed after him and she blinked at the amazing water. "Wow. It's beutiful," said Janis. She trotted to it and smiled. "Well I got a feeling you weren't a liar but I was hoping you were," said Janis. She looked back at Firefly Echo and smiled. "I guess I'm in your band now," yawned Janis. She drank a little bit of water before raising her head to look at the area again.

Janis raised her head to look at the sky. "I is getting late. May I ask where we rest," asked Janis. She looked over at Firstly Echo.

Stopping for a moment to watch the big grey mare leave, Masquerade saw the cougar leap, just missing the horse. For a moment Masquerade was wide eyes with the expectancy of the mare dying. When the cougar missed she sighed in relief. It wasnt even that scary when the cat glared at her. It got ready to pounce but something made it hesitate. Masquerade got to her knees. She was ready to jump back in case this didnt work. Locking eyes with the cat she glared at it, at the same height. The cat's seemed to pause, unsure. And in that time, Masquerade had gotten up and was backing away.

"Welcome to the herd then"FireFly said with a smile. He was glad tat he now had a mare and looked to the sky to see it getting dark. Hearing Janis comment about it he walked over to a small group of willow trees at the edge of the forest"Here, we will sleep here"He said quietly, watching her with soft eyes.

Janis sighed and admired the area. "Wow. It is really lovely here," smiled Janis. She looked up at the trees before standing next to him. She then looked at Echo and smiled. "I think Im going to like it here," smiled Janis.

The tall ghostly mare bolted fleeing the cougar, she slowed her pace when the woods had thinned out a bit as she looked back she saw the the cougar and Masquerade as small forms though she could still make out what was happening as she wasn't to far away but still at a safer distance. Her muscles tensed not wanting to leave the fiery mare with the cougar. She decided to wait and see if the mare needed help before leaving, so she just stood their the shadows trying to engulf her silver coat but the sunlight that filtered through the leaves fought the shadows away on her reflective grey coat.

she then sat down beside her "good night" Kat whispered, she could feel her eye lids closing, and her brain falling asleep.
they day had been good, she had meet someone new, not been snaked, and found a place to sleep.

Masquerade watched the cougar stay where it was. She thought this was going to work when she felt another body close by. Glancing at Freedom for only a second was the worst move she could have done. The cougar pounced and landed badly. But it's legs gripped around her neck, it's claws digging into her. Screaming she jumped back but a second too late. The cougar got off then attacked again. This time she was ready and dodged him, only making it angrier.

"Well, i do try to make it welcoming but you mares are hard to get"He said with a light smile. He settled himself by the edge of the tree so he could watch over his new mare. With a smile on his face he hoped that tomorrow he could get a few more mares and then be the proud owner of a herd with little foals.

Janis laughed airly before settling down under the trees. "Well I don't think I made it very hard for you. It seemed as if you could protect me and you have water so that is why I joined your herd," blinked Janis. She stared up at the sky and sighed. It was nice looking at all the stars.

Freedom pinned her ears at the cougar as she silently made her way closer angling herself in a way that she was sheilded from both the mare and the cougar but that she could leap out and throw a kick at the cougar if it was close enough. 'Bring it here,' she mouthered her sharp eyes directing the mare towards somewhere more open where she could get a kick at the cougar, she pawed at the ground her heart hammering at her heart.
She wasn't afraid though she didn't have anyone to live for, no foals, no herd, no love ones, she wasn't afraid of death like some horses she was afraid of losing her freedom better die free then live caged.
