Spirit heard a familiar voice and limped toward it, her tail flicking behind her swollen belly. Her side burnt like crazy. Lowering herself the mare winced and grunted.

Chevy trotted around,her gait making her just a glimpse over the rolling grass.She had survived another heat without being snaked thank goodness,now she felt absolutely positive she could make it another year without bothersome stallions.






He felt good with Tango at his side,the broad stallion now able to relax just a little with one mare in his sights.Now if only he could find Spirit............

Tango saw the white mares outline. "Spirit!" She whinnied and turned to Blaze. "Told you I'd find her."

Dameer soon lifted her head."When will Winter ever be ever?!?"Shew muttered to herself.She tossed her head and let out a Stressful whinney.She paced back and forth,looking around.

Spirit lifted her head to look at Tango. "Hey there." She called to them. The mare winced at the kick from her foal. Not really helping.

He grinned,"And that ya did.Have you been hearing things around here,or is it just me?"he questioned both mares.His affectionate gaze settled on his lead mare,the first to see through him,and then to Tango who stayed even if she could have run.

Spirit decided to tough it out and stand. Wincing as she struggled to her hooves the mare gruffly stood and flicked her tail. "What do you mean?" She asked with a tilted head. Did he mean like...predator wise...or...She was a bit anxious. "Are you?"She asked and winced as she walked to him, nuzzling him happily.
