I look at the ground, ignoring the stallions whinny. I am not like this, what had just happened. I feel the blood trickle from the bite on my neck. I only said those things because she was talking about me. She didn't know me, how could she say them, like she thought she new me. I turn my head to look at the stallion. I make no attempt to move. I just stand there, looking at him.

Sand Drain

sand Darin kicked the ground with anger" whats the point of marring that she- beast father!"he snapped in protest."son your a grown horse and lets face it, you need to act like one!" drains father said. "well I'm not going to, and-" drains father stepped forward"do this or leave my herd sand drain!" he interrupted, every thing was quiet around them black. "good bye father".......Sand drain awoke with a jolt of shock. It was just a dream he told himself. he got up and walked away to a hill in the middle of a meadow, alone, he sat on it watching the golden yellow sun peak. Ever since drain was separated he couldn't stop thinking of the last words he said to his father"good bye" he repeated. but he had to stop thinking of that, he was on his own, with out a herd to protect him or a though to encourage him...

Whisper watched the scene unfold. She grazed calmly swaying her tail before trotting up next to Beau. She groomed his mane softly. "Are you alright? Did you get hurt?" Whisper turned to Star. "It seems like you just caught yourself in a big one there." She shook out her mane. "But why walk right into something that was none of your business?" She inquired a little bit dissapointed, but also quiet upset at what just unfolded.

His ears slowly swerved as Soul was at his side once more. The black stallion sighed deeply "I'm sorry Soul" he muttered. His tense muzcles finally relaxed and his lashing black tail fell still. His dark gaze remained fixed on the ground before his feet.

The silver mare didn't know who to feel sorry for. The black stallion, The fiery mare or the young mare with this big mouth. She sighed and nuzzled Beau's shoulder gently before walking over to Whisper and the other mare.

"It was not your fault. She stuck her neck out and basically asked for it. I was about to get her myself." Soul said and lipped his mane quietly. Her russet tail flicked behind her contently as she searched him for why he was even sorry. That mare butted in and challenged him. Ears swiveling she cast a glance to the small crowd. "It just upsets me that she does that and gets concern and sympathy." She said and snorted in disgust. She just had to say something remotely offensive to get kicked in the face. The stallion seemed dissatisfied but his mares were concerned. Ugh. This is why she hated other mares.Her eyes turned back to Celtic.

Beau

Beau's nostrils flared, his anger rising. He didn't want the other mare around, no matter how much Whisper and Heart wanted to feel sorry for her. He didn't want his mares becoming friendly with the big mouth. He'd had irritating mares with no stallion follow him and his herd around before when he didn't want them. They were a safety risk. Beau stepped between the mares and the big mouthed mare, barring his teeth to show if she didn't leave, he would nip her.

He sighed deeply, not knowing how after seeing him injure another mare, Soul could be so forgiving and just treat him like he had done nothing wrong. He watched her trot over to the other stallion.

The mare swerved her ears at Beau. She could see that the stallion was displeased that they were interacting with this new mare. She gave her an apologetic tilt of the head and backed up to stand behind Beau.
