Spirit lowered her head. With defeat she closed her eyes. "You are always welcome back."The mare said in a near whisper as she turned to Blaze. She never had a friend like Tango and felt September was lucky. It must be like having a sister. Friends were something she never had the blessing of being with but sometimes things just were nit meant to be. At least she still had Blaze, fully devoted to him. The mare felt herself almost weaken. Maybe she should just go. She nosed Blaze.

Tango felt a rush of guilt wash over her as she ran away from them. But she needed December. Fear was washing over her, and regret was swarming her for leaving Spirit. She charged away and ran and ran.

Spirit leaned her head on Blaze. She could not believe that mare created such a strong bond of trust and then just left. Like that. She was at the point of expecting Blaze to be upet with her. Her dark eyes were heartbroken. She always wished for the bonding of a friend in another mare. Spirit figured at least she had a few hours of it.

As he waited for Noxa's reply he began to let his thoughts wander, How was he supposed to build a herd if he had no mares to build it with? He wanted to stand and find a few stray mares that he might be able to pick up and snake away... He sighed, he didn't know what he was going to do. I guess if Noxa excepts my offer, then I'll ask her about it, he thought, then he relaxed and decided that he would have to worry about that later, even though the thoughts would always be chewing away at his conscience...

He watched the mare go and sighed,nuzzling his new lead mare."Can't judge a book by its cover.You and I both know how could we both are."

Spirit nodded slowly. "Yeah...I know. Should we keep looking for more mares?" She asked in a subject change. Although it was unlikely she would befriend another she knew it would make him feel better. The mare kept her eyes on the ground with a distraught expression.

Thinking for a moment,Blaze finally shook his head.Ow.No more of that.He focused on Spirit as he spoke,memorizing each little feature."I think we both need a break.Especially you.She was a friend."he said,giving her just a brief little muzzle.Once again,ouch.Blaze winced as he pulled away,but faced Prussia and Spirit.

Spirit looked at Blaze with a slightly concerned expression. "Why don't you go wash up a bit? I can come with if you need it." She offered. The mare still felt the sting of her battered pink and black muzzle. But he must be hurting a lot.

After a few hours, Tango gave up. It was hopeless. She would never find December. Her body tugged her to go back to Spirit, but she was afraid that Spirit wouldn't forgive her. Tango turned back around, facing the direction that Spirit and Blaze where. She snorted softly and started to slowly walk back in the direction that they where. A pang of worry struck Tango.
