Pact of the Packs[Accepting-Alpha spot open]

Astra sank her teeth into the elks side. She tore a hole in the elks skin so that she could get the the tastier flesh in side the animal. She was hungry but she didn't rush, she ate relatively slowly enjoying her meal rater than just rushing to finish it. When she had finally finished she stepped away from the carcass and licked her lips contently. She sat back to wait for Comet to eat his share.

Comet stepped forward and dug his fangs into the elk's meaty side. He tore off a chunk of meat and swallowed ravenously, then dove in for another bite. The big timber wolf filled his stomach graciously.

Astra sat on her haunches waiting for Comet to finish. As soon as it looked like he was done she got to her feet. "Lets get this back then, the others will be happy to finish it off". She moved to the front of the elk grabbing the one remaining antler. She bgean pulling straight way, the elk was still heavy but not as heavy as it had been before.

Comet grabbed for a leg and began to help Astra drag the once-heavier prey back to the camp. "Do we have pups?" He managed to ask through a mouthful of elk fur.

Astra lifted her head like Comet had done to try and keep the elk as dry as possible. Eating wet food didn't bother her but the water in its coat would make it heavier for them. The tug it took to get the elk out of the water on the other side caused the antler she had been pulling it by to break. It sent her staggering backwards for a step before she regained her balance. She walked towards the elk again ready to take hold of it by the other antler as soon as she had gotten her breath back.

Comet paused for breath as well. "Do you think we should lead our prey to this side of the river and kill it here?" He suggested. "Carrying it exhausts my jaw, and the river doesn't help."

Astra let go of the elk to reply, she looked puzzled for a moment. "Kill it here" she questioned "Its already dead, you mean eat it here?" she paused for a moment then continued "Carrying an elk is tiring for two wolves so eating it here is a good idea. Then we can fetch the others when were done". With them being alpha and beta they had the right to eat first anyway and this was their kill. The rest of the pack surely wouldn't stare while waiting for them.

Poem was glad when the reached the top of the small hill, staying close to Azuren when he needed to lean against her shoulder again. She couldn't feel its ache any longer, nor the slight step in her paw. Her blue eyes looked ahead, remembering the spot where they had met up earlier this morning around them. They weren't far now, but she wondered what would happen when they got back to camp. Were Omega's allowed to go out hunting?

Azuren hobbled forwards on his own still not leaning on Poem. He had set himself the goal of walking on his own till they came to the spot in the stream where they had met that morning. The ground was soft here beside the stream, the mud was pleasantly cold on his paws but also made him fear that he might slip. When the pair reached the spot Azuren moved closer to Poem to lean on her once more panting heavily from the effort of walking on his own.

Poem trot forward, and looked ahead at the trickling stream where they had met earlier that day. From their it wouldn't be much longer until they were able to rest, and for Azuren's shoulder to heal. She could care less for her paw, it was nothing to his shoulder wound. She realized as Azuren slipped closer, as they came up to the stream, that the ground may have been wet and she didn't want him to slip into the mud or water. She braced herself a moment before he leaned on her, before relaxing again after a moment, her ears turned towards the camp.

Astra's reply came back a little slurred because of her tight grip on the elks antler "If we had pups I think you wouldn't have noticed them" she gave a chuckle thinking of pups running around and playing. "Maybe there will be some in a month or two" she added hopefully. They where nearing the camp now, soon they would be able to relax their jaws pulling the elk was hard work.


Azuren leaned against Poem his paws still slipped in the mud but it made him feel safer to have his weight on Poem. "Were almost there" he said more to himself than to Poem trying to encourage himself onwards. He could smell his pack mates and as they got closer he could faintly hear them too. That did encourage him so he began walking on his own again, they where part the mud too so he felt safe to do so now.

Comet finally set the the big beast down at the entrance of camp. He raised his muzzle and howled their coming, then bent his head over to bring the elk to the camp to finish the deed.

[Sigh theres no one at camp since everyone has stopped posting save us three. I don't know if making a new thread would help since it encourages people to join if there aren't many posts or if I should leave it? I have a few ideas for new RPs]

[I have an idea which I really like so I might start working on it tomorrow but I'm not sure if people will join because I wanted a unique plot but what I came up with might turn people off because it involves incest D: I got the idea reading game of thrones because there is incest between two siblings who have three children together in that but yeah I don't know if I should make it or not]
