Dawn
The shepherd pup yawned and trotted into the nearby woods, slinking through the trees. She smiled to herself, her paws silent on the forest floor as she made her way through. She poked her nose around, stalking through the brush, like the police dog she would have been if the storm never hit.
Piper
He slipped into an alley, taking a familiar route to an abandoned shed. Piper stepped into the wooden struction then began to eat his prize, the cooked meat satisfying his hunger. His tail wagged, the juices spilling out and onto the concrete floor. He perked his ears, and finished the piece of steak, creeping back out to the alley.
