| Name | Fox
| Gender | Lupa
| Age | 4 years old
| Personality | Fox is just as clever and cunning as the animal of her namesake. The lupa prides herself in her skills with words and enjoys manipulating others to do things she would rather not, though she's hardly lazy. She just feels that she is more suited to dictating tasks than performing them.

Fox was born of Echo, by Remorse, into Shiv's group of rouges. Being the grandaughter of the leader had its perks growing up: Fox was fed and kept alive because the rest of the rouges feared what might happen if she weren't. Even as a small, weak-legged bella she was feared, and Fox loved every heartbeat that stuttered at her prescence and the quickening of breath when she so much as hiccuped.
Fox's littermates were nothing to her; she barely paid them any mind. In her eyes, they were lesser than she and not worth her concern, and so she alienated them from early on. When they left their mother's side on some kind of adventure or game, Fox was not asked to join and she did not request they stay. The bella rather liked being on her own and saw it beneficial to her that she be allowed to watch, rather than participate. When any dogs among the rouges fought, Fox was there in the background, observing and learning this way, rather than in the clumsy tumble of her littermates' play-fights. She listened when either Shiv or Remorse spoke, taking to mind and heart the words they snarled and the ones they murmured. She figured out what she would have to do to make others work for her.
When Fox left puphood behind, she was harsh and reserved. Not many dared approach her, even to give her instruction. Only Shiv or Remorse would send her on tasks, and even then solitary ones. She was made to work alone, it seemed, and she was perfectly content with that. On her own, she could run as fast or slow as she liked, say what she wished, and do as she pleased, so long as she accomplished what she had set out to do. She kept herself under Shiv's radar, but plainly there, playing out her time as an underling until she could become something more. When her mother and her aunt dissappeared, she did not grieve.
It was not until Remorse's time was near over that Quip, the Rouges' Enforcer, was killed in an accident involving a large truck at a high speed that she was recognized. Fox was informed by her father that she would be stepping up after him to take the place of Enforcer among the Rouges. She would only answer to Remorse, though she had done that before, and she would be able to become exactly what she thought she was - a leader, nearly. Remorse even had her begin to practice giving orders, telling her to pass along tasks to any underling she deemed capable enough to accomplish something and doling out a punishment now and then with her own teeth and claws. Life was as Fox wanted it.
In her third year of life, Fox met Stormer, a handsome young lupe that joined the Rouges in the fall. He was truely Fox's perfect mate, just as conniving and spiteful as she. The pair disappeared together for several days; Fox returned alone. She said only once that Stormer had decided to leave the Rouges, but not before he mated with her. That winter, Fox gave birth to Stormer's pups: Storm and Stone, two gray-furred brays and the first named for his father. The lupa was shocked at her feelings over the two small pups, having not felt something like it once in her life before that first moment with her offspring. Despite having no mate to assist her in their upbringing, Fox was excited over the prospect of raising her own pups. Unfortunately, Stone - the weaker of the two due to a harsh season for the Rouges - did not survive his first night of life. Because of this, Fox refused to leave Storm alone, constantly keeping her dark eyes on her remaining pup so as to ensure his survival. Her care paid off; the bray lived past the crucial weeks of his life and Fox's intense protective feelings sat back slightly in light of this.
Now that it is time for Remorse to step down, Fox is preparing herself to possibly take over command of the Rouges, should it be offered to her.

| Age | 3 months
| Personality | Unlike his half-sister, Fox, Crow is nothing like the creature he was named for aside from his dark appearance. He is quiet and pensive, thought by most to be simply mute or stupid. If anyone could ever get him speaking, however, Crow would probably have a good many things to say.

Ryder was born to the Dawnbreakers by his aging mother, Calla, five years ago. The lupa had a difficult time with the birth, because it had been a hard season and because she was really too old to be having pups, but she had never had any in her life and wanted at least one litter to raise as her own. She never informed any of the Dawnbreakers who the father of her litter was and they respected her too much to ask; most assumed she had mated with a pet somewhere in the city, for she had left for several days months ago and refused to explain her absence. When only one pup - Ryder - came of her labor, the lupa seemed almost disappointed.
Ryder was treated very much like a disappointment, pushed harder and harder by his mother's semi-caring attitude to prove that he was worth something. He constantly performed, hunting and scavenging before he was old enough, staying up nights to patrol the area around the dens for threats - anything he thought he could do and do well, he did. But it wasn't enough. He was a shadow in the middle of the night, too blended into the background to notice.
It went on this way until Calla died a death of age, having lived ten years among the Dawnbreakers. Ryder mourned her passing, because even though he had been next to nothing to her, she had been everything to him. At three years of age, Ryder was strong, proud, and silent - everything he had worked hard to become, even if he was never noticed.
Out from under his mother's slightly-oppressive shadow, Ryder convinced himself to become part of the pack. He started speaking to the others, holding conversations for no reason other than to talk. He did small kindnesses for others, like helping a mother carry her young pups, or fetch food for the older Dawnbreakers. He was often used as a guard, keeping watch while others slept, because they trusted him to keep them safe. And as this went on, Ryder was focused not only on himself, but on the lupa that ran things.
Naala had been interesting to Ryder for a very long time. She was a strong lupa, and clever. He felt like maybe she would be someone he could get to know - to really know - but she was mated to Jax and therefore off-limits. Ryder contented himself with small conversations, tiny meaningless exchanges. He kept watch on her from afar, but not in a strange way. He watched only to watch, just as he did with others. It took him several months of this watching to realize that Naala would never want a type like him, and so he let her be.
Life went on like this for another two years. Ryder was dutiful and hard-working among the Dawnbreakers and, though he still remained on the fringe of things out of habit, he knew he was liked. Some of the others would seek him out every now and again to ask him for help, or to propose they hunt together that day, or sit watch that night. A wandering lupa by name of Liana joined the Dawnbreakers for a season and hung around with him for several months until he finally had to tell her that he was not interested in mating at all. She left soon after. Jax sickened and Ryder did double his usual amount of tasks to keep things running, but he was very unobtrusive about it. Nobody really noticed how tired the lupe was, or that he never seemed to stop and rest. They were all concerned over Jax's sickness and Ryder understood that. He felt the gnawing worry over their leader's health as well, but knew that, if these things were not done, it did not matter if they had a leader or not, because they would be without food or something might happen in the middle of the night to end them.
When Jax eventually succumbed to his illness, Ryder shared in the shock and in the sadness, but he continued to work through it, because it had to be done. The lupe wondered who Naala will choose for her new mate and the next leader of the Dawnbreakers, but then he realized, Maybe it could be me.
