Deep in the forest resided an isolated little town. It had most of the modern conveniences of a small town, city village, including a butcher shop, a supermarket, a barber shop... And two gangs of stray dogs. The Rouges of Shiv were a hardy group that valued survival of the fittest, only the strongest of dogs could try to establish a place within the ranks of Shiv's Rouges. To the south of the town, the Dawn Breakers built a community that valued only companionship and survival of the whole. For years the two gangs have coexisted in relative peace, but the time has come again. Both packs are preparing for a third change in leadership. Will the new leaders shatter the peace?

1. Follow the ChickenSmoothie rules
2. Absolutely no purebreds or wolf-dog hybrids, this is purely a STRAY DOG roleplay which means they are NOT going to be well-groomed, "papered", or human-orientated. These dogs have denounced life with humans and vowed never to go back.
3. No abandoned dogs! An abandoned dog, unless it has been on its own for a long time, is only focused on one thing; finding its family again.
4. Shiv's Rouges are "trouble makers", they are always causing trouble with the humans, they are also not family-orientated so it is common for a single male to have multiple mates, they are often stealing food, on occasion attacking a human, and are constantly running from the dog catcher
5. The Dawn Breakers try to stay out of trouble with the humans as much as possible, they scourge up food from dumpsters and a few have even learned how to hunt in the nearby forest
6. Make relations with other member's characters, I honestly do not want to see a lot of "he ranaway" "she died" "he died" "he's missing" "no one knows where she is at" "he was killed" "she was hit by a car and left for dead"
7. Put thought into your characters

Since Jax's death, however, Naala has been fairly jumpy, almost desperate never to be left alone.

Living on the streets as they were, it was hard enough just for their parents to scrounge up enough food, but when it became apparent that Frostbite was carrying pups; Flick stuck around only long enough to make sure the mother and his unborn pups had sufficient shelter to protect them from the elements. Assuring his mate he would return with food, the lupe left intent on never returning. Naala and her littermates were born in the dead of winter, their mother, having finally figured out that her mate had fooled her and left her and their pups to their fate, had become worried over the survival of her litter. She was rightly hesitant to leave them alone for any amount of time until she was gaunt and on verge of starvation, she was running out of time and needed to find food if not for her, then for her growing pups. Forced to leave them, Frostbite was intent on finding the first scrap of food she found, no matter how small, and return swiftly to her awaiting puppies. In the short time she was gone, however, one of her daughters had succumbed to death.

While their mother was away, the nest in which Naala and her littermates called home had been raided by savage dogs looking for an easy meal. Savyer, the smallest in the litter, had always been a curious wonder and had gone to greet the intruding dogs. Wary, however, Naala coaxed her remaining sibling to hide with her and not to make a sound. Within moments of finding a good hiding place, their sister's screeches of agony filled the area until they were sharply cut off and the ravaging dogs left with their prize. Naala and her surviving sibling had apparently fallen asleep in their hiding place when their mother's cries drew the white bella back into consciousness and she stumbled out to find her mother huddled over a puddle of red liquid.

Life continued much the same after that, until Naala and her sibling were old enough to accompany their mother in search of food. After showing her surviving pups the best places she had found to find food, the aging lupa had all but traded places with her pups as they began scrounging for food, leaving their mother back at the nest as she grew ever ill. Worried for her mother, Naala began to search in more places for food when she met Jax for the first time. The two had held a squabble over a small piece of prey which Jax had killed himself in the nearby wood and had left unattended to fetch another piece he had caught earlier. However when the larger and much more sturdy young lupe had pinned Naala down, he'd realized just how gaunt she was beneath her thick white pelt and merely stepped off of her her, nudging his caught toward her and disappearing into the wood again. Confused, Naala did not wait for the lupe to return to reclaim his catch and hurried back to the nest with the stolen kill. Later that evening, however, Jax appeared again at their nest, though he had with him two sturdy-looking lupes almost double Naala and her siblings' size. But instead of attacking, each of the lupes with Jax set down a rabbit, turned, and left Jax with curt nods of approval.

Wary, and not just a little confused, Naala inched forward, keeping her eyes always locked on Jax until she was close enough to snag one of the rabbits, turned, and fled back into nest with the kill. She hadn't expected he would follow, but follow he did, taking up a guard-like position at the entrance to the den and launched into explanation. He'd inquired of their knowledge of their location, apparently on the fringes of Shiv's territory and rambled nonsense for most of the night before dawn approached and he left the nest with a promise to return.

The following weeks continued much the same, as the young lupe slowly began to gain the trust of Naala and her kin, constantly supplying them with prey, even teaching Naala and her siblings a few tricks to hunting as well, he told them of his extended family, grouped in the south, they called themselves the "Dawn Breakers", that his father and his uncle had decided to band together the stray dogs in the area and form a sort of pack. Eventually, once Frostbite had regained her strength from the constant supply of prey and attention, Jax made a request. He asked Naala if she and her family would come and live with him and the Dawn Breakers, at the same time, he admitted that he had his suspicions that he had fallen in love with the white lupa.

After consulting her family, the three strays agreed to Jax's proposal, but after arriving at the den of the Dawn Breakers, did they find out the Jax was actually the group's leader, having taken it over from his father after his passing. Naala felt betrayed for some reason, but it wasn't long before it became apparent that she was carrying Jax's puppies and all ill-feelings she had for him faded as he began to fret and worry over her and their puppies. Not long after, Naala gave birth to three healthy pups of her own, but their happiness was not long-lived. Before their pups had reached their first winter, Jax fell ill and eventually died when their pups were approximately nine months old, just old enough for the pups to grow old enough to remember their father's dying state.

After Jax's passing, the Dawn Breakers automatically turned to Naala as their leader, but she was never meant to lead and made a declaration, as spring and the time when most couples produced offspring approached, Naala announced that she would take on a new mate, and whomever she took on as a mate would become the leader of the Dawn Breakers until Jax's son was old enough to fulfill the place as the pack leader by blood. She felt like she was betraying Jax, but knew also that he would not have wanted her to mourn, would have wanted her to move on with her life.

He takes a great amount of pleasure in the pain of others, and claims to be Shiv's rightful champion. He is intent on making his father's group of rouges forever run and controlled by his bloodline, he mates out of duty to that cause and treats the lupas that bare his puppies with little to no respect. To him, a female is only useful in baring litter after litter of heirs. Only heirs. He rarely takes ownership of any female pup that is produced during one of his breedings, and he has been accused many times of taking the life of his own young simply because it was born female.

The group of rouges that would forever be known as "Shiv's Rouges" by, as one can probably guess; Shiv before he had taken the young lupa Noel as the mother of his heir. He had several sons before Remorse was born with many different lupas and was intent on making more with the plan to breed an army of sons capable of helping him take control of the entire city, maybe more. But when Noel finally gave birth to a litter of four pups, Shiv was sorely unimpressed. The two sons that were produced were weak and scrawny, hardly fit to be warriors. At first Shiv barely acknowledged their existence. At least, until they were old enough to stand firmly on their own paws.

Shiv ordered Noel to abandon their puppies and stop caring for them, forbade her from nearing their nest at all. The rouge leader then set to work hardening his young. He set his youngest offspring against each other, time and time again. At first, Remorse was the underdog of the litter, he was constantly bullied and beaten by his larger, stronger siblings and often went without eating because of this. Eventually however, he found he could manipulate his siblings into fighting each other while he had his fill of the scrap of food their father would leave them.

Shiver, his only brother, was the first to realize what was happening and let Remorse think he had been cowed over, but while their sister's fought from Remorse's manipulations, Shiver waited for the opportune moment. By the end of the day, both brothers were sporting bloody, weeping gashes. The gash left by Shiver became Remorse's first scar, and the gash left by Remorse upon Shiver's flesh turned into his death.

After weeks of suffering in agony, Shiver finally died from his infected wounds and Remorse became intensely cold and terrifying at having taken a life, least of all his own brother's. Shroud and Shatter became wary of sharing a nest with their murderous brother and submitted easily to him.

After a few more weeks of observing his pups' growth, Shiv grew tiresome of Remorse's easy rule over the remaining sisters and instructed the bray to either kill his weak sisters that would not fight for dominance and claim the position Shiv was prepared to give him as his heir or Shiv would kill his daughters himself and claim one of Remorse's older siblings his heir and threatened that Remorse would likely be ordered killed himself after he witnessed his brother's coronation. Eager at the prospect at being proclaimed Shiv's heir, Remorse agreed to the first proposal. His father had not told him how to kill his sisters, so he stuffed some prey full of deadly poisonous berries and passed it off to the first of his siblings, declaring he was not hungry. Shatter eagerly devoured the offered meal and soon began to convulse with seizures before she too died just in time for Shroud to return to the nest to find her sister poisoned. Instantly on edge at only finding her brother with her sister's now dead corpse, Shroud became increasingly wary of Remorse, but her brother was only too eager to try and win her over, proclaiming that he had found evidence that Shatter had been planning to preform the same technique used to end her life on Shroud, and that Remorse had simply switched the pieces of prey, thus saving Shroud's life.

It took over a year for Shroud to gain any form of trust for her murderous brother, and still remained quite wary of him, the barely mature lupe had taken his first mate. Remorse copulated continually with Glitter until he had no doubt in his thoughts that she was carrying his pups, and while he waited the final weeks before Glitter gave birth, he promised his father that Shroud would meet her end. He took his sister to the dump site, a common place for the rouges to scrounge up anything they needed from a scrap of leather to teach the pups how to attack to a rat which is the easiest prey for them to catch. By the time Remorse returned, Shroud was not seen from again, alive at least. As a reward, Shiv pronounced Remorse his heir to the rouges and threw Remorse's second mate at him. Remorse copulated with Pink a number of times but by the time Glitter's litter of useless daughters had reached their third month, the lupa had yet to produce even a single litter. Taking this as an act of treason, Remorse requested from his father and his Enforcer to chase the traitor out for refusing to give him sons. As was requested, Pink was driven out, but no more. Yet not a week later, her body was found half-hidden in a bush on the edge of the forest. No one outright accused Remorse of killing the lupa, but it was highly suspected.

Before long, Remorse took his third mate; Echo and only a few days after her litter was born, were the bodies of Dagger and Cloak, his first pups, found ravaged and practically dismembered. Remorse enjoyed Echo and the litter she had given him for a few years, until Shiv finally died and Remorse came into power. Deciding to reward himself for finally becoming the rightful leader of his father's gang, Remorse took on a fourth mate, Echo's sister; Ecofina.

But Remorse was unaware that Ecofina had successfully given birth until his pups were nearly two months old and he followed his mates, both Echo and Ecofina when they went out "hunting" and found the burrow in which the two lupas were hiding his young pups. Outraged, Remorse waited until the females left the nest unattended before gathering the pups and returning to the main establishment, placing his pups directly in the middle of the camp he waited for Echo and Ecofina to return. By the time the lupas did return, the sight before them clearly made them distraught. For punishment, Remorse decided to have the two lupas chased from the pack.

About a month has passed since Echo and Ecofina have been chased from the pack and everything is mostly quiet but Remorse is aware he needs to name a successor. He is still unhappy with the size of his progeny, only two litters, and has decided that he will take on at least one more mate.

He doesn't have trust issues, but he won't open up to you unless he's gotten to know you. If he's being provoked he will react, perhaps unpleasantly but for the most part he controls himself in situations such as this.

Personality:Midnight's Wish is a sweet Female with a bunch of Personality.She is very loving and trusting,and protective over her year old surviving pups,and can be very dominant.The Female known as Wish,Is Loyal,Respectful,and sometimes very shy,but is always Cunning,Sly,And Flirty.
History:Midnight's Wish Was born as a rescue dog,and lived like that until they tried to put her down.She was born with 7 other pups,2 anyhow,were not adopted,and where forced to be put down.They had 48 hours left in the shelter,as a 6 month old,it was tough to be adopted when your Mother was Very protective.So many couples looking for puppies came,Her mother bit them,And the couples left,never to be seen again.So they waited,and waited,until one man came,took her and left,leaving her brother behind,mean while,they had another male in the car,collar and all.He looked at her,and smiled.Later on that year,she becmae very dear to them,while the wife,had her baby,They two year old dogs,Charming,and Wish,Mated.A few days later,Charming and Wish Got to meet the two new babies,the twins named Kaya,and Derak.


Weeks went on and the owners found out Wish was Pregnant as well,and was going to have a litter of about 7.Everyone was excited as the time for her to have her puppies came around,and Wish laid in the whelping box on a lonely night.The owners where at a baby shower,Charming was with them with their Blind Son,and Wish was alone.Soon she went into Labor,and pain came to her.Hours went by,and no one came home.So she was forced to have her puppies,alone.After about 5 hours,all 7 pups came to her,5 females,2 males.She happily let the Aussie Crosses Nurse,and she licked everyone of them.Some where considered a Red Merle,blue Merles,some where Brown and White,some where Black and White.Once Charming came home,The Wife,Layla,Put her two kids to bed,and the Husband,Scott,Went to check on the Merle Female,Wish,and discovered her pups.That Day,Charming had become more protective,and aggresive.



It was 6 months later when a massive fire came,and took the life of the Husband,and the son,plus 2 pups,left was 3 females,and 2 males.Charming had also passed after he mated with Wish a few days later.So now,Wish was stranded as a stray,And with 5 pups.Weeks passed and her pups became indepented,and a year old.They Left her side,and she was now pregnant,and lonely.She remained a loner,and still is today.

Living on the streets as they were, it was hard enough just for their parents to scrounge up enough food, but when it became apparent that Frostbite was carrying pups; Flick stuck around only long enough to make sure the mother and his unborn pups had sufficient shelter to protect them from the elements. Assuring his mate he would return with food, the lupe left intent on never returning. Malik and his littermates were born in the dead of winter, their mother, having finally figured out that her mate had fooled her and left her and their pups to their fate, had become worried over the survival of her litter. She was rightly hesitant to leave them alone for any amount of time until she was gaunt and on verge of starvation, she was running out of time and needed to find food if not for her, then for her growing pups. Forced to leave them, Frostbite was intent on finding the first scrap of food she found, no matter how small, and return swiftly to her awaiting puppies. In the short time she was gone, however, one of her daughters had succumbed to death.

While their mother was away, the nest in which Naala and her littermates called home had been raided by savage dogs looking for an easy meal. Savyer, the smallest in the litter, had always been a curious wonder and had gone to greet the intruding dogs. Wary, however, Naala coaxed him and their remaining sibling to hide with her and not to make a sound. Within moments of finding a good hiding place, their sister's screeches of agony filled the area until they were sharply cut off and the ravaging dogs left with their prize. Malik and his surviving sibling had apparently fallen asleep in their hiding place when their mother's cries drew the white bella back into consciousness and she stumbled out to find her mother huddled over a puddle of red liquid. Malik didn't exactly grieve like most would over their sister. Instead, he comforted his siblings instead of himself.

Once Malik and his siblings were able to accompany their mother, he had shown them where the find food but soon grew ill. As Naala searched for more food to help their mother, Malik was the one to stay with her and make sure nothing got worse. When Naala returned during a successful search, he had scented something on her, another dog perhaps and he had his suspicions. Later that day though, when he spotted the three lupes, he was vary wary. He had little knowledge of them, though they had kept a respectable distance and left the prey. But when Naala came into the den, he had exited, to see Jax there seeming to be guarding the area. He did not have a good feeling, being the only male of the litter, he seemed to take full responsibility of them all. With another male figure, seeming of authority, he felt threatened and wary of Jax. Without a father, Malik had a sour attitude towards any male, including Jax. He listened though, as the lupe rambled on about some Shiv territory not understanding it at all. With their mother ill, Malik was on edge and wary of anyone. He had recently ended up in a fight with another lupe because of it when the male had tried to still the food Malik had found. Out of the family unit, he considered himself dominate, so he had his reasons for his actions. Many arguements with his sister occurred whenever he seemed overly dominate, knowing that they both weren't submissive towards each other. When Naala thought of them as equals and he didn't but that changed over time.

The following weeks as Jax began gaining their trust, Malik was still unsure about everything. He could sense something happening between his sister and Jax and truthfully, he didn't like it. When Jax began speaking of his family, Malik wasn't around to listen, instead choosing the time to hunt and find food. As their mother regained her strength and Jax asked them to join him, he was the first of the family to object. He absolutely did not like the idea and despite his mother's words of wisdom towards the better life, he stilled objected even when he told them fine. When he found out Jax had lied to him and his family, the little trust he had for the lupe was broken.

It became apparent to Malik that Naala was carrying pups soon enough. He was distant from his sister from then on, barely speaking with her as he dwelled on every flaw Jax had instead of seeing the good things. When the pups were born, he gradually stopped roaming and avoiding his family and began to build up his relationships again with them. When Jax passed, Naala's grief was what caused his worry. He felt it real liking towards Jax but he tried his best to keep his sister from sinking into her grief. As the pack of strays told her she was their leader, Malik was not surprised when she objected and devised a plan. To him, she seemed to be rushing into trying to get another mate but he would not interfere with her love life anymore than before but instead trust her enough not to end up like their mother did and her mate leaving her.

Calypso was born with only one brother by the name of Jace. They both were born to a lupa by the name of Calla and a lupe by the name of Flick. The pups were well taken care of by both mother and father but only for a short amount of time.

Being born during the spring came with its advantages for the two. When they were old enough, Flick would take Jace out for long periods of time without her, leaving her alone while her mother thought she was with him while she went hunting. During this time she played with what she could find, things like leaves and sticks. She would pretend it was a live animal and learn to stalk it on her own through trial and error though it never did help her since it was never a living creature. She had soon found that out when she tried it on a rat. Her father always seemed to return with Jace right before her mother came back, her larger brother threatening her not to speak about her being left behind. Calypso was scared of her brother though she wouldnt admit it. It seemed that her her father looked down upon her because she was a small and a female. With time, she grew larger and with her size she gained more confidence against her sibling.

Around the age of six months, Flick left them to their own devices without a reason, their mother had suspected it. Calypso and her brother did not get along, both wanting to now dominate the others and Jace blaming her for their father leaving Their mother no longer seemed to care what happened to her pups as she went into a depressed state over her mate leaving her. Neither siblings seemed to notice as their mother would disappear for long periods of time and then never come back to them. As there fighting increased, the more wounds were inflicted between the two. At the end of a day, both would be bloody and exhausted. As time passed, both siblings continued their vicious routine until finally Calypso finished their long extended quarrel with a large bite wound across her brother's neck. Calypso didn't know she had killed him and thought he was playing dead like he would do to cause her to be pinned. She prodded him with her paw until finally realizing what she had done. That night, she laid in a puddle of blood, hers and his as she realized that she was so alone in this world now. Everything seemed to be her fault and the next morning, on blood covered paws, she began walking.

She walked, and walked, and walked until her paws ached every day. She would come across other dogs, usual males who would try to court her but she gave no interest and they never took the time to try and get her to trust them. Calypso matured in mind quicker than her body, which gave her the benefit of the doubt in things. The lupa was soon discovered to be in Shiv's territory and being surrounded didn't help. She was corned against a tree quite quickly and her usual tactics did not allow her an easy escape but instead gave her one possible choice, to join.

Calypso continued to be distance for a while, learning how to behave and the rules of these strays. She knew she would end up having a mate when she came into season. Though so far she has been lucky enough to avoid those thoughts for now at least. Being a recent newcomer,under Remorse's rein, she knows she has a tough challenge ahead of herself.
