Cherokee strode out of the lake and nuzzled Apollo along his spine, then started to groom his short mane. She nickered, flicking her ears. She swished her tail and lifted her head.

Eagle Eye

Eagle Eye herd the distinct laughter of a foal. At first, he thought it was another herd close by, but then he thought diffently. He would have smelt a stallion, the wind was perfect for it. He looked over the hill toward the lake and a tingly feeling spread all over his body. There was another mare. She had a foal, but Eagle Eye didn't care. Foals didn't register in his mind. He trotted down the hill, watching for any signs of a stallion. He knew the mare had a stallion, she reeked of him. He didn't bother with formalities, instead he changed into the lake, trying to frighten the foal and mare up the hill. He nipped the mare on the rump and snapped his teeth at the foal. "Go!"

Cherokee's eyes grew wide with fear when the stallion approached. Her ears flattened, and she quickly nudged Apollo, then galloped up the hill. She made sure Apollo was by her side, and kept nudging his neck as they ran up the hill, in the direction the stallion wanted them to go. She eventually slowed down, her ears still flattened and eyes wide. She kept her neck over Apollo protectively, warning the stallion not to come close to him.
