You are a lone rat, walking the city streets. You don't know how you got here, to this strange place, and you're pretty sure you don't like it. Too many humans and too many of their lights and sounds. Suddenly, you catch a distant smell. Your nose twitches as you breathe deep and recognize the smell of another rat!

From around the corner of a huge building, a doe rat appears. She looks you over and stands tall, her black and white pelt shining under the full moon. "Welcome, stranger." Her voice is quiet, but holds authority. "You appear to be lost. Have you ever been here before?" You shake your head no, and the hooded doe speaks again, "In that case... My name is Mayday, and I come from a pack of rats who live here, in this city. It's much easier for a rat to live with others, you know. If you want to survive, perhaps you should join us."

Will you continue risking your life, wandering the streets alone? Or will you trust this rat and follow her, to join her pack?

1. All of Tess' rules apply.
2. Be respectful to all other members in the roleplay. (Note: this applies to OOC, as drama is encouraged in-game.)
3. No powerplaying.
4. No cussing. You can use darn, heck, etc., but no actual curse words.
5. Don't go overly into detail with fights; you can mention blood, but don't get too gory.
6. Fade to black during mating, and don't describe birth in-detail (you can describe birth the way it's described in "Warriors").
7. You must be active, with at least one post every two or three days, although I'd prefer daily posting. If you have to be gone for a while, PM me and let me know.
8. When joining, wait for me to approve you before you start roleplaying.
9. Use brackets, parenthesis, etc. when talking out-of-character.
10. Please keep your rat realistic. No "scene" or "sparkle" characters. Read the Useful Info post on how to make your character.
11. You can have a maximum of five characters, and your characters cannot be mates with each other. They can be siblings, and if your rat has children, you can play a maximum of two of them, only if you don't already have four or five characters.
12. This is a semi-lit roleplay. Please use the best grammar that you know. This means no chatspeak. Also, don't go overboard with fancy text and decoration in your posts.
13.Your rat must be of the Norway rat species, commonly known as the "fancy rat." Wild rat species like the black rat, brown rat, and Gambian pouched rat, because they don't have the same color variation and personality as Norway rats.
14. You are allowed to make your own characters to join unless there are extra rat pups that have been born and have no one to roleplay them, in which case, you'll have to sign up to play as one of them. Their name, gender, and appearance will be pre-determined.
15. Rules will be added as I think of them or as they are needed.

Warning System

If you break any of the rules, you'll receive the following consequences.

First - warning.
Second - another warning.
Third - one week ban from the roleplay.
Fourth - roleplayer banned and character will be killed off in story.
