"Okay, child," she snorts behind her. "I think we should go for either the biggest calf available or the oldest, slowest bull. They usually panic first, or at least the ones in this herd do. I think." She fluffed up her fur, and stuck her muzzle in the air. They were almost at the lake; she could smell the lakeweed and the algae. "Of course, an older doe could be acceptable, too, I guess, even though they tend to be smaller."

Karma nods, and gets up, shaking out her pelt. She thinks for a moment, before saying, You know where the waterfall is, right? Why don't we go there? I bet I can show you something you've never seen before." Karma's tail wags softly out of sheer excitement.

Pilot takes all of this information in, still ambling along beside the huntress. "I say..." he starts to say as they near the lake. He stops a good distance from the lake so no prey will smell him. He finishes, "...We go for that bull." He nods towards the sickly male elk. It was fairly large. Of course, there was a calf, but then there was the whole problem with the overprotective cow and he didn't want that. The bull seems easiest at the moment. "What do you think, Buddy?"

"Great idea," Lila muttered. The bull did seem to be sick and slow; a perfect catch for the pack. She flicked her ears lazily, and crouched down behind a bush, unsure of which way the wind was blowing; there was quite a bit of wind. She started to trot over to the left of the herd, and took up a position where she knew she was hidden. She waited for Pilot to move first; then, after he grew weary, she would take up the chase.

He whines in a whisper, "But I don't wanna make the first move!" He grumbles under his breath, before moving around the edge of the bush. He trudges along, sticking to the shadows. He sighs to himself, then looks at the bull. He seemed pretty isolated already. Great. Pilot lowered his head, gazed around, then silently moved behind the bull, blocking him off from the woods. He crouched, then twitched his ear, waiting for his go.
